The Stranger in My Home Review: A Fracture in the Familiar
Image
The film descends from its precipice of initial shock into a fever dream of multiplying secrets. The characters’ strangely muted reactions to the foundational crisis feel less like a flaw in the script and a quiet symptom of existential paralysis, a defense mechanism against a truth too vast to emotionally process.

Ali and Jeff absorb the blow with a stillness that borders on the surreal, a psychological state of shock that allows the foreign element, Tom, to seep into the cracks of their broken home. Their passivity is the stillness of a world holding its breath before collapse.

Young Katie, now a stranger in her own life, is set adrift on a sea of uncertainty, and she finds a fleeting anchor in the handyman, Jordan. Their connection, presented initially as simple teenage solace, reveals itself to be another knot in a tangled lineage, a deeper, older secret lying dormant.

Jordan is Peter,...

Exclusive Video: Sophia Bush & Chris Carmack On Creating Their Chemistry For ‘The Stranger In My Home’
Image
Actors Sophia Bush and Chris Carmack revealed how they created their on-screen chemistry and developed their characters for their new film, The Stranger In My Home, in a uInterview video exclusive. “We look at our personal connections, then we look at what we know and what we’ve seen and read, and then we start using our imaginations,” Carmack told uInterview founder Erik Meers. “But starting with a personal connection about family was a very strong way in for me. I’m a father. I love my family. I would do anything for them. I would die for them. And I think the crux of [my character] Tom Truby is here’s a man who essentially, in many ways, has lost the family that he already has, and here is a chance to get one back.” The Stranger In My Home is now available to stream on all platforms.

Interview: The Stranger in My Home’s Sophia Bush and Chris Carmack Talk the Psychological Thriller’s Connection to Social Media
Image
Drama, drama, drama. That’s the most accurate description of The Stranger in My Home. The psychological thriller sees Sophia Bush play Ali Mitchell, a mother whose life gets turned upside down when Tom Truby (Chris Carmack) appears on her doorstep and tells her that he’s her teenage daughter Katie’s (Amiah Miller) real father after a baby mix-up at the hospital. Sophia Bush and Chris Carmack were attracted to their characters for different reasons Image Credit: Paramount Pictures For Bush, she welcomed the opportunity to dive into such a juicy and drama-filled role as Ali. “I absolutely loved it,” she said. “From the moment I read the script, I was excited about it, and then being able to dive into the source material – the best-selling novel by Adele Parks – and really see how rich the story is for every single character.” In addition to this, Bush appreciated the...

The Stranger in My Home Movie Review – Sophia Bush and Chris Carmack Overperform in This Messy Psychological Thriller
Image
The psychological thriller genre peaked in the ’90s, because even when the films weren’t great, they were still memorable. Jeff Fisher’s The Stranger in My Home feels like it belongs to that era. It’s messy, unbelievable, and all over the place – but it’s one heck of a time. It’s like the Marlena Evans possession story arc in Days of Our Lives, where everyone scoffed at in public but adored it in private. Based on the best-selling Adele Parks novel of the same name, The Stranger in My Home sees married couple Ali (Sophia Bush) and Jeff Mitchell’s (Chris Johnson) life turned upside down when Tom Truby (Chris Carmack) arrives on their doorstep and claims to be their teenage daughter Katie’s (Amiah Miller) real father. According to Tom, there was a mix-up at the hospital on the day in which Katie was born, so...

Grey's Anatomy Reveals 6 Actors In Danger of Leaving 2025 Show
Image
Grey's Anatomy Season 21's emotional finale has fans wondering which actors and their characters could be leaving after a massive explosion hit Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. The finale episode of ABC's long-running medical drama was full of twists and turns as Grey Sloan had to endure a hostage situation inside an operation after an unstable mother placed the lives of Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone), Dr. Lucas Adams (Niko Terho), and Dr. Simone Griffith (Alexis Floyd) in danger.

After tense negotiations and an intervention from Dr. Meredith Grey, the hostage taker eventually surrendered after making sure that her daughter was safe. However, another curveball in the finale was revealed after the suspect's wife pointed out that the tank full of gas that was used for the hostage situation might've been leaking all this time. This means that the leak could cause an explosion that could put more lives in harm's way.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Delivers Explosive Season 21 Finale Cliffhanger: Meg Marinis On Lives In Danger, Couples At Crossroads, New Cast Addition & More
Image
Spoiler Alert: The story includes details about the Season 21 finale of Grey’s Anatomy, “How Do I Live.”

In a signature fashion, the Grey’s Anatomy Season 21 finale put the doctors at Grey Sloan through the wringer.

First, Jenna (Piper Perabo), the distraught mother of 9-year-old Dylan, resorted to extreme measures to try to save her daughter who continued to deteriorate following her brain surgery. Not willing to sit and wait as Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) advised her, Jenna took things into her own hands.

Using a tank with explosive gas from her husband’s work supply as a weapon, she forced Amelia to operate on her daughter to try and fix what didn’t work the first time. Amelia had to go lo-tech, relying on a magnifying glass and her instincts — with Lucas’ (Niko Terho) help — to perform the highly risky surgery. She was eventually joined by Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) for a...

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Boss Breaks Down That Explosive Season 21 Finale Cliffhanger, Meredith’s Surprising Decision
Image
Note: This story contains spoilers from “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 21, Episode 18.

“Grey’s Anatomy” ended Season 21 with a heart-stopping finale cliffhanger, leaving the fates of a good chunk of the Grey Sloan doctors hanging in the balance.

Episode 18, titled “How Do I Live,” followed the aftermath of Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Link’s (Chris Carmack) wedding. Tensions rose significantly after Jenna (Piper Perabo), the mother of a young patient of Amelia’s (Caterina Scorsone), sequestered her, Simone (Alexis Floyd) and Lucas (Niko Terho) in an Or and forced her to operate on her daughter while threatening to blow it up with a gas tank.

The hostage situation caught the attention of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) — who was in the premises with the intention of selling off her shares of the hospital to fund her burgeoning Alzheimer’s research. In typical Meredith fashion, she ended up in the Or herself and helped diffuse the...

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Showrunner Meg Marinis Confirms Your Fears After That Explosive Cliffhanger Finale
Image
[This story contains major spoilers from the season 21 finale of Grey’s Anatomy, “How Do I Live.”]

Grey’s Anatomy warned viewers that an explosive finale was coming.

Heading into the season 21 ender, “How Do I Live,” that aired on Thursday night, the ABC medical drama’s official social media account posted two throwback photos of the memorable two-part finale back in season two (“It’s the End of the World” and “As We Know It”). That tense bomb-in-a-body-cavity episode saw Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) with guest stars Christina Ricci and Kyle Chandler trying to keep a bomb lodged in a patients’ chest from exploding.

“Same vibe,” wrote the ABC account.

This time, instead of a bomb, the mother (guest star Piper Perabo) of a child patient who had gone unresponsive after brain surgery brings a highly flammable acetylene tank into the operating room and forces Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) to perform a high-risk surgery to save her daughter. Interns Simone (Alexis Floyd...

A ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Wedding Brings Levi Back & Has Link Singing As EP Meg Marinis Teases Season 21 Finale With 2 Couples Facing Breakups
Image
Spoiler Alert: The story includes details about May 8 episode of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy “Love You Like a Love Song”

ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy served its signature mix of happiness and heartache in the penultimate Season 21 episode.

Miraculously, Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Link’s (Chris Carmack) wedding went off without a hitch after only four days of preparation. The largest obstacles were Jo finding a way to turn down her future mother- in-law’s questionable makeup artist talent and veil offering and Link struggling with his vows.

Jo’s Bff Levi (former cast member Jake Borelli), flying in from Texas to officiate the wedding, helped her understand where Link’s mom is coming from, while Bailey (Chandra Wilson) assisted Link in the vow-writing process with an unexpected result — Link surprised everyone by singing his vows while strumming a guitar to the delight of fans of Cormack’s Will Lexington from Nashville.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Jo & Link’s Wedding Becomes a Musical Affair
Image
[Warning: The following post contains Major spoilers for Grey’s Anatomy Season 21 Episode 17, “Love You Like a Love Song.”] There weren’t wedding bells at the wedding of Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) and Atticus Lincoln (Chris Carmack), but there was an entirely different kind of music at play. After Link spent the day stressing over his inability to write meaningful vows for the slapdash ceremony — while Jo tried to keep his mom’s worst blue eyeshadow and borrowed veil instincts at bay — all day, Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) gave him a pep talk and advice to communicate in a way that felt more natural to him. For Link, that meant toting an acoustic guitar to the altar and playing a song that was made just for the occasion. The lyrics for the song were: Strumming this guitar may seem like I don’t know what to say, But I swear I have the answers to the questions of the day.

'Grey's Anatomy' Welcomes a 'Yellowstone' Star in New Season 21 Images
Image
This week, the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital is opening its doors to receive Yellowstone star Piper Perabo for an extended stay. Unfortunately for her character, though, a long stay for a patient in Grey's Anatomy usually means bad news. In order to tease the new episode and reveal a bit more of what will happen to the new character, ABC unveiled a set of new images from this Thursday's installment of the long-running medical drama.

The images reveal that Perabo won't be the actual patient, but rather her onscreen daughter, played by Sophia Kopera (Bosch: Legacy). Titled "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone," the episode will cover a challenging case handled by Amelia (Caterina Scorsone). The episode synopsis reveals that Amelia will have to perform a high-risk brain surgery on the little girl, and the parents will understandably be concerned. ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Prepares for the Final Stretch of Season 21 in New Sneak Peek
Image
With Grey's Anatomy taking a short break this week — there was no new episode or rerun due to the 2025 NFL draft — ABC is teasing the next episode of the show, which starts the countdown to the season finale in mid-May. In a new sneak peek, viewers are presented with a case that will probably stretch for the remainder of the season. Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) will be at the center of it, and we will discover details of the case next Thursday, May 1.

The next episode, titled "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone," will introduce Yellowstone's Piper Perabo to the cast. The newcomer is slated for a three-episode arc, and knowing that Grey's Anatomy cases don't tend to stretch over multiple episodes, we just know it will be a big and difficult one. In the sneak peek, Amelia is saying that she will have to take a "high-risk" approach to a nine-year-old girl's angioma.

Grey's Anatomy's Future Revealed at ABC Ahead of Season 21 Finale
Image
Grey's Anatomy is currently over halfway through Season 21. Ahead of the finale, which will be on May 15, ABC has revealed the medical drama's fate.

Grey's Anatomy is one of the longest-running shows on air, having premiered in 2005. However, it looks like the medical drama is not stopping anytime soon. Per Variety, ABC has renewed Grey's Anatomy for Season 22 during a massive renewal for some of its hit series, alongside 9-1-1, The Rookie, Will Trent, and Shifting Gears.

Grey's Anatomy follows the personal and professional lives of the interns, residents, and attendings at the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital, which was later renamed as Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. The series is the longest-running scripted primetime show on ABC. For over 19 seasons, the series followed Ellen Pompeo's Meredith Grey as the central character, until she stepped down as a series regular and started making recurring appearances.

Grey's Anatomy has just celebrated its 20th anniversary this year.

'Grey's Anatomy's Fate Decided at ABC As Season 21 Heats Up
Image
All doctors on Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital will remain on call for the next year. In a move that surprised no one, ABC decided to renew Grey's Anatomy for another season. The long-running medical series will extend until Season 22, which will air in the 2025-2026 season. The network has yet to announce if all regular cast members are returning for the new season, but showrunner Meg Marinis has hinted that former protagonist Ellen Pompeo (Good American Family) is expected to return for some episodes.

The renewal should come as no surprise — Grey's Anatomy keeps topping the charts to this day. Not only does the show remain among the most-watched titles on network television, but it is also a hit on streaming platforms. Just last year, the series was the most-streamed drama title across all streaming platforms. The series is still the go-to title for subscribers who feel like binge-watching a long TV series,...

‘9-1-1,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘The Rookie,’ ‘Shifting Gears,’ ‘Will Trent’ Renewed at ABC
Image
ABC is renewing four dramas and one comedy series, Variety has learned.

The Disney-owned broadcaster has picked up new seasons of “9-1-1,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Rookie,” and “Will Trent” as well as “Shifting Gears.” The renewals will bring “9-1-1” to Season 9, “Grey’s Anatomy” to Season 22, “The Rookie” to Season 8, “Shifting Gears” to Season 2, and “Will Trent” to Season 4.

ABC had previously announced renewals for both “High Potential” and the hit comedy “Abbott Elementary.” That means that the only current ABC show still awaiting word on a renewal is “Doctor Odyssey.” ABC has opted not to order any pilots this season, but did order the “9-1-1” spinoff “9-1-1: Nashville” straight-to-series, with Chris O’Donnell set for a lead role.

Of today’s renewals, only “Shifting Gears” was seen as a toss up for a new season. The Tim Allen-Kat Dennings multi-cam suffered a noticeable drop off in the ratings since its January debut.
