Yasmin Ahmad was born on 7 January 1958 in Bukit Treh, Muar, Johor, Malaysia. She was a director and actress, known for Mukhsin (2006), Sepet (2004) and Talentime (2009). She died on 25 July 2009 in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
