Zachary Levi isn’t giving up on the movie followup to his NBC series Chuck, and he says creators Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak are on board.

Levi starred in the spy dramedy from 2007 to 2012 as Chuck Bartowski, an average guy who was dragged into the world of the the CIA and Nsa to take on dangerous criminals and other threats. He’s been campaigning for an expansion of the Chuck universe since the show ended, but he recently said on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show that it might actually be coming to fruition.

“I’ve been trying to make a Chuck movie since before we even finished the show. I saw the writing on the wall, I saw a lot of the streaming stuff starting to pop up. I saw a lot of like, well, people are doing, you know, like, you know, Zach Braff, I think was crowdfunding.

Zachary Levi recalls a fun fan convention experience he and his Chuck costars had back when around the time of season 2. Although Levi is now best known for his role as Shazam in the Dcu, he first rose to prominence playing the titular character in NBC's Chuck, which aired from 2007 to 2012. The series follows a computer geek who accidentally downloads classified government secrets into his brain, causing him to become a highly valuable asset to both the CIA and the Nsa. "The Crazy Ones" just added a spy to its cast.

"Chuck" alum Joshua Gomez has joined the CBS sitcom for a guest-starring role, THR reports.

Gomez will show up on the Robin Williams/Sarah Michelle Gellar comedy in episode 16. He will play George, a copywriter at Lewis, Roberts + Roberts who gets the chance to work with Andrew (Hamish Linklater).

Gomez, best known for playing sidekick Morgan on NBC's campy spy series "Chuck," also recently guest-starred on ABC's "Castle."

"The Crazy Ones" airs Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. Et on CBS.

At least, it is here in the fifth episode of the Castle season 6, ‘Time Will Tell.’ The premise isn’t necessarily unique to television, but it is to the standard crime-drama procedural, which makes it all the more entertaining. "Castle" went a little bit nuts -- in the best possible way -- for its time-travel episode, "Time Will Tell." Guest-starring Joshua Gomez ("Chuck") as either a future cop or an obsessed nutjob, the police have to stop a scary murderer before more people die.

Depending on who you believe in this one, the eventual death toll would be either three or billions. It's awesome either way.

From its first moments, this is an odd "Castle." A young woman is found tortured and killed. Although the woman, Shauna, was a parole officer, none of her ex-cons are likely suspects. The only person of interest is an unidentified crazy guy in a hoodie.

Joshua Gomez, known to us Chuck fans as Morgan Grimes, will be guest starring in Castle’s sixth season and will be bringing a little wackiness to the show that only a Chuck alum could. I love this guy to death – he was one of my favorite parts of what made Chuck so enjoyable for five seasons – and I’m so stoked to see him work alongside Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, but not nearly as stoked as I am for the character he’ll be playing.

According to EW.com, Gomez will play a murder suspect who claims to have traveled into the past in order to stop some terrible event from occurring. The police, however, think that he is just a murderer.

Is the man crazy? Or did -- as Castle (Nathan Fillion) will undoubtedly think -- actually travel through time?

This isn't the first time that an actor from "Chuck" has shown up on "Castle." Adam Baldwin, who played John Casey on "Chuck," reunited with his "Firefly" co-star Fillion on a 2012 episode of the police procedural. Castle season 6 new time traveling murderer actor revealed for episode 5,new spoiler. As previously reported, the Castle season 6 peeps are bringing on a new murder suspect in episode 5, who claims he's traveled through time. Now thanks to Entertainment Weekly we've got a face to go along with that character in actor ,Joshua Gomez (left). His character is described as being a "suspect in a grisly murder who claims to have traveled back in time to stop terrible events from unfolding, events that will change the course of human history." It's speculated that he may just be a deluded killer. Joshua Gomez's acting resume includes previous roles in Morgan and Chuck. Season 6 is set to debut on Monday night, September 23rd on ABC.

Per EW.com, TV’s erstwhile Morgan Grimes will appear in the fifth episode of Season 6 as a murder suspect who claims to have traveled from the future to prevent a cataclysmic event from happening. (Um, hello — the Beckett/Vaughn kiss was, like, four months ago.)

EW has learned exclusively that Joshua Gomez (Morgan from "Chuck"!) has been recruited to guest star as a suspect in a grisly murder who claims to have traveled back in time to stop terrible events from unfolding — events that will change the course of human history.

While we're still reeling from the news that Tatiana Maslany will guest star on Parks and Recreation, ABC has spilled its own fun piece of casting news:

Joshua Gomez - forever beloved by Chuck fans for his role as Morgan - will appear on Castle Season 6 as the suspect in a murder case. Pretty basic, right? Not quite.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Gomez's character will allege that he has been sent, Terminator style, back through time in order to prevent catastrophic events from befalling mankind.

Chuck: The Complete Fifth and Final Season comes out on Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday, and among the three-plus hours’ worth of extras is a featurette titled “Through the Years,” in which cast and creators reflect on the characters that populated Agent Bartowski’s world, and the actors who played them.

This episode of "Chuck," the series finale, takes place two weeks after "Chuck vs. Sarah." The fifth season of NBC’s comedy-adventure TV show Chuck is, very sadly, the final season.

The nerd-herder-turned-spy, played with such boyish charm by Zachary Levi (Tangled), went out on his own in season 5 — no intersect and no CIA backup. Of course, bad guys are still out to get him. But John Casey (Adam Baldwin, Serenity), Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski, Killer Elite) and Morgan Grimes (Joshua Gomez, TV’s Without a Trace) are still on Chuck’s team.

If the series finale of Chuck wasn’t a proper farewell, I do not know what is. These final two hours of Chuck were the most beautiful love letters to the fans, cast, crew, and everyone involved in supporting Chuck over these five incredible seasons. The comedy, the action, the romance, the geek references… it all came to an end last night in the most perfect way. Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak did not disappoint. Everyone poured their heart and soul into the finale and it showed. What a beautiful ending.

I'll go on record right away as saying that I was very pleased with the "Chuck" finale, and I think the last 30 minutes of the final episode rank up there with the absolute best the show has ever done. It got dusty in my house many times during those last two hours, and as a sustained, well-earned sentimental farewell, the finale was everything I could have hoped for.

I needed to be convinced, however. When last week's episode ended with Sarah's memories gone, I was alarmed (even though I thought "Chuck Versus the Bullet Train" was a good...
