After about a decade of streaming on the reputable platform Netflix, Canada’s long-running series Heartland is unfortunately leaving the streamer in the U.S. soon. Developed by Murray Shostak, Heartland debuted on CBC on October 14, 2007, before finding a home on Netflix in the early 2010s, when it was first licensed in the United States and later in international territories. What's on Netflix now confirms that the family-themed show’s run is coming to an end in a few weeks, a huge blow to many who have been anticipating the upcoming Season 19.
Netflix's page for the drama notes that the “Last Day to Watch” is Thursday, July 31. So, from Friday, August 1, the first sixteen seasons of Heartland, comprising 249 episodes, won’t be available on Netflix. Additionally, Seasons 17 and 18, which have already aired in Canada, won’t arrive on the streamer as initially expected. But there’s still good news! If Netflix proceeds with the removal,...

After a few weeks’ hiatus, the final episodes of the season will drop weekly starting Thursday, June 19, on Up Faith & Family. Here, McPherson opens up about portraying the long-time character and what’s to come. Congrats to you and everyone on Heartland for the Season 19 renewal. I understand you’re filming right now. As we always do on early edition day, we start with what’s happening the rest of this week.
Y&r Weekly Spoilers: Genoa City Conflicts Erupt (May 14-16)
On Wednesday, May 14th, we’ve got Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) trying to tempt Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), promising juicy inside information on Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), but really she doesn’t have that much to offer.
And Victor calls her out for being sloppy. He thinks he already knows everything that she is trying to sell him, and he’s being kind of insulting about Phyllis Summers not being on her game when she approached him.
After this interaction with Victor, Phyllis is increasingly upset and she contacts Dumas’ assistant. Remember, she stole the contact info from Billy’s phone.

Saint-Pierre will return for a second season after becoming CBC’s most-watched new series of the year, according to Numeris TV Meter and CBC’s own analysis, and will be joined by two more seasons of Wild Cards and new runs for Allegiance, Heartland and Murdoch Mysteries.
The news comes as CBC/Radio-Canada gears up for a boost to its budget following the victory of Mark Carney’s Liberals in Tuesday’s federal election. Robert Eggers' Nosferatu has divided many critics and audiences. Some have praised the film, whereas others have seen it as something that pales in comparison to the original by F.W. Murnau and its later adaptation, Nosferatu: The Vampyre, directed by Wener Herzog. The influence of Nosferatu extends well beyond its original release over a century ago, from the images of skeletonized templar knights rising from their coffins in The Ghost Galleon to a character named after Graf Orlok and portrayed by Boris Karloff in the movie Targets. Nosferatu would also have a significant influence on the 1991 film Subspecies.

Yellowstone is ending soon, prompting fans to find a new show, and, thankfully, Heartland's first 16 seasons are available on Netflix. Heartland, a Canadian Western show, is lighter and more family-friendly than Yellowstone. Heartland has 17 seasons and is preparing for season 18 in 2024/2025, offering a perfect show for Yellowstone fans to watch.
Yellowstone is coming to an end after five seasons, and consequently, fans need to find a show that can replace the Yellowstone-sized hole in their hearts thankfully, Netflix has the perfect substitution. The Paramount Network's critically acclaimed neo-Western drama, created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, has become one of television's most talked about and beloved series, which is what makes the end so devastating. Nevertheless, the Yellowstone universe will continue with sequels, prequels, and spinoff series. However, it might be a while before any are released, making the aforementioned show on Netflix a must-see for all fans.

Exclusive: The majority of the managers working at LA rep firm The Green Room have abruptly exited to launch management and production outfit Untamed Artists LA.
The move was made in the last few weeks and follows what the group described to us as “irreconcilable differences” with Green Room founder Alex Czuleger, who as of last week was understood to be the only manager left at the firm.
Czuleger, who set up The Green Room in 2014, declined to comment on the reason for the departures but noted that the Green Room would continue to operate as a management company and that replacements for the departing staff would be joining shortly. There is discrepancy between the two parties as to whether all agents left of their own accord.

Heartland has maintained a loyal and growing viewership over its seventeen seasons, with many viewers considering the show's core characters as surrogate family members. The show's focus on family life, set against the backdrop of Alberta's stunning scenery, creates a sense of timelessness and relatability for viewers. Heartland offers a refreshing alternative to the aggressive and cynical attitudes often found in television and pop culture, with its compassionate portrayal of relationships and strong female characters.
Now in its seventeenth season, the beloved Western family drama series Heartland has maintained a loyal viewership throughout its run while seemingly continually adding new viewers, many of whom have felt compelled to binge-watch the series right from its 2007 debut. Indeed, many longtime viewers of Heartland feel like they’ve concurrently grown up with the show and its enduring characters. This consistency of character and tone has fostered an uncommon sense of interactivity between the show and its viewers,...

The scripted pilot based on Jessica Simpson’s bestselling memoir “Open Book” is not moving forward at Amazon Freevee, Variety has confirmed. Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s period comedy “Western” has also been scrapped, though both potential series are now being shopped elsewhere.
The pilot for “Open Book” was ordered by Amazon Freevee back in October, with Tom Kapinos set to write and executive produce and Adam Bernstein on board as a director and executive producer. Katelyn Tarver would play Sadie Sparrow, a young singer based on Simpson, while John Stamos was cast as her older songwriter, Butch. Over time, the two would develop a connection that went beyond music.
Simpson was set to executive produce the project, along with Patrick Moran for his Pkm Productions and Amazon Studios. Lauren Auslander and Lacy Lynch were also on board as executive producers.

Even if George A. Romero had only made his zombie films, he would still have a well-earned spot in the cinematic canon. As famous as he is for his "...of the Dead" franchise, though, he's not recognized widely enough as a multi-talented auteur with an incisive lens on American politics and culture. Romero was a brilliant writer with an ear for naturalistic yet meaningful dialogue and an editor whose unique style — rapid-fire but loose, as narrative-driven as it is mood-driven — turned his films into arthouse fare for the masses.
Though most directors with any longevity have a few "lower-tier" works in their catalog, it can be difficult to rank Romero's films given how many bonafide classics he directed. This list will do just that. From missteps both early and late in his career to at least three masterpieces — each of which could easily take the number one spot — here are George A.

Paramount Plus has released the official trailer for “The Offer,” the upcoming drama miniseries that chronicles the making of “The Godfather.”
Set in the early 1970s, “The Offer” stars Miles Teller as Albert S. Ruddy, who is hired as the producer for the film adaptation of the best-selling novel “The Godfather,” written by Mario Puzo (played by Patrick Gallo). In addition to Teller, Gallo, Fogler and Ribisi, the series will also star Matthew Goode, Juno Temple, Burn Gorman and Colin Hanks.
The trailer shows Teller as Ruddy as he assembles the creative team for the film and battles with producers, only for the involvement of the mob to cause the...
