- Gilbert was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and having grown up around the film industry always knew that acting and producing would be his career path of choice. Even as a teenager, he was dedicated to immersing himself in the craft of acting and studied at some of the top acting classes in Los Angeles. Gilbert graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a B.A. in film and a minor in acting, spending his time there being featured in multiple independent films. This experience was invaluable for gaining the knowledge needed to successfully begin his acting career, as seen in his first feature film, Fireflies, where he is not only the lead actor, but wrote and produced it as well.
