Exclusive: Longtime Sony Pictures exec veep of production David Beaubaire will transition by year’s end into a producing deal, sources said. There has been a series of changes at the studio, but I’m being told this is Beaubaire’s desire. The pieces of the transition are still falling into place. Among his projects have been All The Money in The World, which Ridley Scott directed and which survived the switch from Kevin Spacey to Oscar-nominated Christopher Plummer shortly before the film’s release. He is currently immersed in the relaunch of Men in Black that F. Gary Gray is directing, with Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Liam Neeson, Rafe Spall, Kumail Nanjani, and Sartaj Garewal starring.

In honor of Labor Day weekend, Cinemax is re-airing the first three episodes of its new hit action series Strike Back, starting this Friday, September 3rd, at 10 pm. Catch up on all of the excitement you've missed before Episoe 4 debuts next Friday night, September 9th.
This fiery ride follows the adventures of Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton), an ex-us Dellta Force operative who's teamed up with the stealth British military unit Section 20 to battle a group of terrorists that've kidnapped a member of their elite black ops team. In episodes 1-3, Scott joins Sgt. Michael Stonebrige (Philip Winchester) to hunt down elusive Pakistani terrorist Latif, who is believed to be holding agent John Porter (Richard Armitage) hostage. An all-new episode of the explosive Cinemax series Strike Back is set to debut this Friday at 10 pm. In Episode 3, Section 20 tracks Latif's known associates to Cape Town, South Africa. They capture and interrogate an accomplice who leads them to an armored car company that recently had a brutal and suspicious robbery in which no money was stolen. Col. Grant (Amanda Mealing) recognizes one of the attackers as vicious mercenary and former Ira member Daniel Connolly (Liam Cunningham). After researching the company's client list, they surmise that the target may be defense contractor Atat. The unit warns CEO Kenneth Bratton (Alistair Petrie) that the attack may not have been a random robbery, but he does not reveal that he is already being blackmailed by Connolly. Meanwhile, Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) and Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) pursue Connolly's new hacker. After an accident, Scott must impersonate the hacker, only to find that Connolly's...
