While a big enough financial hit to merit a sequel, in hindsight, many consider this to be the nadir of superhero movies. Hilariously, it’s one of several bad Fantastic Four movies, with Roger Corman infamously making an unreleased version in the nineties that was so bad it’s never gotten a legitimate release. Then, of course, there was Josh Trank’s “gritty” version from 2015, which torpedoed a few careers. To many, 2005’s Fantastic Four is considered the worst of the bunch, but what exactly went wrong?

Indeed, the thing people remember most about the movie is the cast, which isn’t all that bad.

One of the standout films from this year’s Tribeca Film Festival was All the Streets Are Silent, a documentary about the intersection between skateboarding and hip-hop in New York in the 1980s and Nineties. A who’s who of classic rap and funk stars will be headlining an upcoming concert series in New York City dubbed It’s Time for Hip-Hop in NYC.

Krs-One, Slick Rick, and Remy Ma will co-headline the Bronx installment on August 16th. Raekwon and Ghostface Killah will head up the Staten Island event on the 17th. Big Daddy Kane and Desiigner lead the Brooklyn lineup on the 19th. And the festivities will end with a concert topped by George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars and Too Short in Queens on the 20th.

Exclusive: All the Streets Are Silent, a documentary portrait of the skateboarding and hip-hop scenes in New York in the late 1980s and early ’90s, has been acquired by Greenwich Entertainment.

The U.S. rights deal precedes the film’s world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June. The film will be released in theaters on July 23.

Who would have thought there was an intergalactic dance battle outtake from Predator 2? Well, there is and Danny Glover even gets in on the action in this nearly 3-minute video. The sequel hit theaters in 1990 and its story takes place 10 years after the first installment, without the involvement of Arnold Schwarzenegger. While the sequel was not a hit at the box office or with critics, it has gone on to become a cult classic over the past 30 years.

As for the Danny Glover dance battle outtake, it appears to be more than just an outtake from Predator 2. It has multiple camera angles and it features rather detailed dance choreography for the stunt performers playing the aliens in the sequel. By the end of the jam, which sounds like it could have been on the first Bell Biv Devoe record, Danny Glover's Lieutenant Michael "Mike" R. Harrigan gets in on the fun.

Dan The Automator, aka Daniel Nakamura, knows a thing or two about setting a mood. The Bay Area-based producer has worked on projects such as Gorillaz’s debut album, Handsome Boy Modeling School (with Prince Paul) and multiple projects with rapper Kool Keith.
