When rap fans decry the atomization of the genre, they usually focus on its negative aftereffects: a lack of crossover superstars, an irrevocable split between Gen-z internet kids and boom-bap old heads, and a surplus of ephemeral trends geared towards meaningless virality. But the emergence of solo auteurs like Aesop Rock is a reminder that there’s much to enjoy about this current, weird moment, too. The 48-year-old rapper is rooted in the underground “independent as fuck” of the late 1990s, and his music has more than a passing resemblance to skronk-y,...

Is Marvel about to use AI in Doomsday?(Photo Credit –Instagram)
While many think AI takes away the livelihood from humans, others feel it works like a helping hand and an avenue to expand one’s artistic vision digitally. The debate continues, and so does its usage. The latest addition of opinion on this matter comes from the Russo brothers, who have famously directed Marvel movies, in addition to a few titles of their own, including the latest The Electric State starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt on Netflix.
Will the Russo brothers use AI in the upcoming Marvel films they direct?
Marvel movies are known for their cinematic grandeur. The Russo brothers presented a stunning intergalactic landscape in Avengers: Endgame. Artwork like that takes time to produce. With the speed taking the lead against human production, it is an important question if AI will be used in future Marvel movies.

The casting of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom has been controversial, to say the least, as a lot of fans believe that bringing in the Iron Man alum might be a cheap trick by Marvel to win back fans who have been largely alienated by Marvel’s disastrous 2023 run.

However, there is one other issue that has irked fans about Doctor Doom’s casting in the MCU, which focuses on the fact that Doom is a Romani character. Doctor Doom in the MCU comes as a part of a long line of similar casting goof-ups, where characters have been race-swapped for no discernable reason. This is further compounded by the fact that some fans are miffed that this care was taken to cast an Israeli actress in an Israeli role, but not anywhere else.

Marvel Rivals is finally getting its full launch on December 6, 2024. Despite a strong lineup of 33 playable characters, the roster is lacking in the villain department. His commanding presence, rich backstory, and potential for unique gameplay mechanics make him a perfect fit for the game.

One particular way NetEase Games could add him into the game would be to make him a melee brawler-type character. We already saw in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame that he is a formidable fighter even without the Infinity Gauntlet. He would be a perfect fit for the game’s existing characters.

Marvel Studios returned to Hall H this year to showcase their latest projects, offering attendees exclusive sneak peeks of “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” “Thunderbolts,” and “Captain America: Brave New World.”
However, the standout announcement was that Robert Downey Jr. is making his MCU comeback, not as Iron Man, but as Doctor Doom.
Following Jonathan Majors’ legal troubles, a recast or a replacement with a different villain was inevitable. It appears the studio has decided to surprise fans with something monumental. Despite weeks of speculation about Robert Downey Jr. playing Doctor Doom, the official announcement had the desired effect, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
Additionally, the MCU is moving closer to adapting the “Time Runs Out” storyline, with the title of “Avengers 5” revealed as “Avengers: Doomsday,” directed by the Russo brothers.
If you’re among the majority who like the idea of Rdj as Doctor Doom, you’re not alone.

Avengers: Secret Wars is one of the most anticipated movies in the history of the superhero genre, especially after all the events that have happened in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far. But some fans are making the mistake of thinking that this upcoming Avengers 6 movie is going to be focused merely on the rivalry between Reed Richards and Doctor Doom.

Whether it’s the early 2000s or Josh Trank’s 2015 reboot, the live-action adaptation of Marvel’s first family, Fantastic Four, has always left fans disappointed. With “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” playing out its second weekend in global theatrical release, much of the chatter around the film has focused on its baddie, one of the seemingly countless variants of Jonathan Majors’ Kang. The Marvel marketing machine is pitching the would-be conqueror as the next Thanos-level threat, with appearances in this third “Ant-Man” and the first season finale of “Loki” before getting his name in the title in the summer 2025 release “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.”
For a look at what makes Jonathan Majors’ Kang a different kind of threat, and a different kind of character from Josh Brolin’s universe-killing Thanos, TheWrap spoke with Jeff Loveness, the screenwriter behind both the recent “Ant-Man” threequel and the upcoming “Avengers” team-up flick.
Loveness spoke about Kang, what he does or doesn’t know about future Kang-centric adventures and why he used the opportunity to give Michelle Pfeiffer an MCU spotlight.

David Jude Jolicoeur, who passed away on Sunday, Feb. 12 at the age of 54, helped revolutionize hip-hop and change the course of popular music. It’s why he’s being mourned so widely in the rap community today, and far beyond it as well. As one-third of De La Soul, alongside Kelvin “Posdnous” Mercer and DJ Vincent “Maseo” Mason, the Haitian American musician and producer who adopted names like “Jude,” “Trugoy the Dove,” “Plug 2,” and, finally, just “Dave” expanded the art form in ways not seen before or since. Quick Links General Tips And Tricks For Using Marvel Snap’s Leader Card The Leader-Leech Deck The Leader Ramp Deck
Marvel Snap has dozens of powerful cards, but none are arguably as controversial as Leader. The highly intelligent and ruthless archenemy of the Hulk, Leader has proven divisive among Marvel Snap’s player base, thanks to his ability to copy all cards the opposing player has played that turn on the player’s own side. Creative and strategic players have been taking advantage of the card in order to climb the game’s ranked ladder, to the indignation of other players whose carefully laid plans have been ruined by Leader’s game-changing ability.
As part of a balance patch that also nerfed Marvel Snap’s Galactus card, Leader had his Power reduced, making him a 6 Cost, 3 Power card. However, his ability remains unchanged, allowing the player to make an incredibly powerful play.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Namor the Submariner #3One of the most famous rivalries in comics is Dr. Doom and Reed Richards, and Namor reveals how the two sworn enemies actually joined forces.
In a very dystopian future, the Kree came and attacked Earth. They poisoned the environment, which caused huge portions of the surface population to become sterile. Atlantis was largely left untouched though. Many of Earth's heroes gather together to try and stop the Kree. However, when they ventured into space they were met with fierce resistance and many of them perished, never to be heard from again. The surface devolved into a wasteland while Atlantis thrived, but that doesn't mean Namor would abandon the surface completely. He still tries to help them.

Marvel Snap has finally been released to the public on PC and mobile devices after spending a long time in closed beta testing. It seems like all the hype is finally paying off as more and more players are exploring the game each day.
There are a ton of different decks that players can build depending on different abilities and strategies, but some decks are just stronger than the rest. Players have been trying to find the best strategies and hidden tactics that can give them an advantage, and the bet synergies aren't always obvious.
Ongoing Decks With Spectrum
This particular deck makes use of cards with the Ongoing ability, but the use of Spectrum at the end can boost all the cards present on the board. Turn 6 Spectrum will add a +2 power to all the cards with Ongoing abilities.

Warning: Spoilers for Black Adam #7A lot of times it's easy to spot the similarities between Marvel and DC characters, but sometimes it's difficult to see, such as with Black Adam and Dr. Doom.
Even besides what's happening with Dark Crisis, Black Adam is having a lot of plates to juggle at once. After he fell ill, a descendant of Black Adam's, Malik White, subsequently gained his powers and became a new champion named White Adam. In addition, Black Adam has faced political scrutiny for the dictator-like behaviors that he's shown in his country, Kahndaq.

Doctor Doom can receive a grand MCU introduction in upcoming Marvel projects Ironheart and Armor Wars. Since Disney's acquisition of Fox in 2019 and the reveal of the Fantastic Four project coming to the MCU in 2025, many have been wondering when Marvel's First Family's arch nemesis will be making his MCU debut. After two failed attempts by Fox to do justice for the infamous super-villain, Marvel Studios' take on Doctor Doom is an exciting prospect for avid fans, but his introduction could come much sooner than expected, possibly in 2023's Ironheart.
In Marvel Comics, one of Riri Williams' first solo stories as Ironheart features a face-off between the Iron Man protégé and Doctor Doom himself, though this isn't the Doctor Doom that audiences are familiar with. Instead, Doom had acquired Stark technology and created a suit of armor, dubbing himself the Infamous Iron Man, and fighting with Shield to take down low-level criminals.

New fan art imagines what Adam Driver could look like as Doctor Doom in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ever since Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox, the Fantastic Four's arrival into the MCU has been inevitable. John Krasinski cameoed as Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, though it appears unlikely he will continue playing the character. Also on the front of fans' minds has been Reed Richards and the Fantastic Four's archenemy, Victor Von Doom. The supervillain has appeared before in Fox's Fantastic Four movies, played by Julian McMahon and Toby Kebbell.

What is it about Fantastic Four that’s made it such a cursed property as far as movies go? In this episode of Marvel Revisited, we dig into 2005’s Fantastic Four, which was 20th Century Fox’s attempt to spawn another superhero saga that could complement their X-Men movies. While a big enough financial hit to merit a sequel, in hindsight, many consider this to be the nadir of superhero movies. Hilariously, it’s one of several bad Fantastic Four movies, with Roger Corman infamously making an unreleased version in the nineties that was so bad it’s never gotten a legitimate release. Then, of course, there was Josh Trank’s “gritty” version from 2015, which torpedoed a few careers. To many, 2005’s Fantastic Four is considered the worst of the bunch, but what exactly went wrong?
Indeed, the thing people remember most about the movie is the cast, which isn’t all that bad.

One of the standout films from this year’s Tribeca Film Festival was All the Streets Are Silent, a documentary about the intersection between skateboarding and hip-hop in New York in the 1980s and Nineties. On paper, 1990s East Coast hip-hop has been dissected ad infinitum in countless books, TV shows and films — for a certain age, the culture defined their teenage years more than anything else.
But director Jeremy Elkin, a veteran of skate films who grew up (and continues to be) obsessed with hip-hop, finds fresh material in...

Exclusive: All the Streets Are Silent, a documentary portrait of the skateboarding and hip-hop scenes in New York in the late 1980s and early ’90s, has been acquired by Greenwich Entertainment.
The U.S. rights deal precedes the film’s world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June. The film will be released in theaters on July 23.
Jeremy Elkin is making his feature directing debut with All the Streets Are Silent, which is described as “a love letter to New York” blending elements of Paris Is Burning and Larry Clark’s Kids.

Who would have thought there was an intergalactic dance battle outtake from Predator 2? Well, there is and Danny Glover even gets in on the action in this nearly 3-minute video. The sequel hit theaters in 1990 and its story takes place 10 years after the first installment, without the involvement of Arnold Schwarzenegger. While the sequel was not a hit at the box office or with critics, it has gone on to become a cult classic over the past 30 years.
As for the Danny Glover dance battle outtake, it appears to be more than just an outtake from Predator 2. It has multiple camera angles and it features rather detailed dance choreography for the stunt performers playing the aliens in the sequel. By the end of the jam, which sounds like it could have been on the first Bell Biv Devoe record, Danny Glover's Lieutenant Michael "Mike" R. Harrigan gets in on the fun.

Natalie and Jaclyn get into a shouting match about who does or doesn't know Jon. Jaclyn is particularly angry, which I guess makes sense. This, of course, is exactly what Natalie wanted, because she wants people to be wary about aligning with Jaclyn. She knows it'll take effort to maintain her ties to Missy and Baylor in the short term. "You've gotta put in work if you want to win this," Natalie says. 3-and-2.
