Film producer and distributor Shochiku celebrated its 130th anniversary at an event this week, spotlighting its upcoming slate of both live-action and anime titles. Per Eiga Natalie, this notably included Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash Part 2, first announced in 2021, with Shochiku confirming the film is currently in production. While no release window was confirmed, given the rest of Shochiku's current film lineup has dates up until Winter 2025, this is likely the earliest that fans can expect the highly anticipated Gundam film sequel.
