Sonic the Hedgehog is racing onto Peacock. The 2020 movie, often considered the best video game adaptation of all time, will be added to the streaming service next month.

Beginning March 1, Peacock subscribers will be able to stream Paramount Pictures' Sonic the Hedgehog, starring Ben Schwartz as the voice of the titular blue hedgehog. Paramount Pictures’ highly-anticipated Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie has officially wrapped its production just in time for its theatrical release this December.

The filming wrap was announced by Sonic the Hedgehog 3 director Jeff Fowler on X, as he shared a behind-the-scenes photo featuring the third installment’s massive clapperboard. This comes after its London production was temporarily delayed due to last year’s SAG-AFTRA strike. You can almost hear the sigh of relief from the global Sega fan community. The new Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer, which Paramount released this morning, is a giant improvement.

Our spiky hero no longer looks like a nightmarish experiment in avant garde taxidermy. The human teeth have been extracted. He has big doe eyes, not the sinister mini-peepers of the original trailer. The new design genuinely captures a lot of what original character designer Naoto Ohshima set out to achieve – a cool but cuddly mascot, infusing Japanese kawaii sensibilities with American attitude. His fur is bright, mimicking the famed Sega blue of the company’s classic arcade games. He is no longer absolutely terrifying, an important achievement for a family film.

Apparently the Big Island can lead to even bigger mistakes! As Wheel of Fortune continues filming at the Hilton Waikoloa Village in Hawaii, one contestant made quite the memorable error while competing on Tuesday's show. One female contestant shouted out the letter "l" as she tried to get one step closer to solving the puzzle. Pixar has revealed the lead character of its next short Lava. Meet Uku, the volcano. He's crusty and known to erupt in bursts of anger at any minute without warning, but he also has a very warm center in this 7 minute musical love story between two mountains. Take a look.

Uku and Lele are two mountains in love in the Pixar animated short Lava, which will have its premiere at the Hiroshima International Animation Festival in Japan in August, before being attached to prints of Pixar's next full-length feature Inside Out, in theaters June 2015.

Lava is directed James Ford Murphy, an animator who started working with Pixar on 1998's A Bug's Life. He came up with the idea for Lava more than twenty years ago, visiting Hawaii's Big Island while on his Honeymoon. He explains,

"I thought it would be so cool to fall in love with a place who's also a character.
