Sheldon Cooper (who's played by Iain Armitage and Jim Parsons at different stages in his life) didn't have many friends growing up, but the boy genius bonded with one person after being fast-tracked to high school. Tam Nguyen (Ryan Phuong) is introduced in "Young Sheldon" Season 1 and hits it off with Sheldon over comic books and their other nerdy interests. Outside of Tam being one of the few humans Sheldon tolerates, though, they aren't super close. However, they were close enough for Sheldon to hold a lifelong grudge against his old classmate, which we learn about in the 12th and final season of "The Big Bang Theory."
Adult Tam (Robert Wu) appears in Season 12, Episode 4, "The Tam Turbulence," to visit his old friend at CalTech, but he doesn't receive a warm welcome. Simply put, Sheldon is mad at Tam for going back on his promise to attend CalTech with him back in the day,...

With the expanding The Big Bang Theory franchise, there are questions about how old George is in Young Sheldon and how that works for the sequel series. Young Sheldon is set in the 1980s, making it sometimes difficult to determine the ages of the characters. With many of the key characters in the show having already appeared as older versions in The Big Bang Theory, it added to the confusion, which will get even worse with the new upcoming series Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.
As a child, Sheldon is surrounded by his family, neighbors, and friends, whose actors also needed to be able to demonstrate their character's frustrations with the child prodigy, while still showing him adequate affection. Some of these characters have made an appearance on Tbbt, such as Mary, Missy, and George Jr., so it's intriguing to see the lives they led that shaped them. Young Sheldon...

Young Sheldon season 7 focuses on tying up loose ends, including the return of past characters like Tam Nguyen. Tam's return will attempt to explain his absence in The Big Bang Theory, but it may create more plot holes. Sheldon's early graduation and college distance led to Tam's disappearance, making it challenging to maintain their friendship.
Young Sheldon season 7's returning character will not solve their The Big Bang Theory plot hole but it will just make it worse. As Young Sheldon's final season progresses, its storytelling shifts its focus on tying up narrative loose ends that will be integral in crafting a satisfying send-off for the Coopers. After spending the first several episodes of Young Sheldon season 7 in Germany, Mary and Sheldon are returning home to reunite with the rest of the family. From there, tackling some of the confirmed plots for the remainder of its run will be easier to execute.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Young Sheldon season 6, episode 7.
The biggest mystery in Young Sheldon just got so much worse due to a new plot reveal. The Big Bang Theory spin-off has been criticized for its lax approach to established continuity. In recent years, however, it has done a better job in this regard, not to mention being more creative in its storytelling to strengthen its ties with its parent series. Amid all of that, Young Sheldon has had its isolated narrative issues, including one that has been plaguing the family comedy for a while. Despite CBS still not addressing the problem, The Big Bang Theory spin-off just made the plot hole much more prominent.
In Young Sheldon season 6, episode 7, Sheldon visits the local comic book store to collect a print - but, unfortunately, Missy already sold it to someone else. This leads to a series of events that had the...

During the Big Bang Theory writers’ room panel at San Diego Comic-Con, stars Kumal Nayyar and Mayim Bialik surprised fans in Ballroom 20 to talk about the forthcoming season.
At the end of season 11, we all saw Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Bialik) tie the knot and it was revealed by show producer and writer Steve Holland that the new season will begin with “ShAmy” on their honeymoon. But if you’re looking for a little Sheldon or Amy you might have to wait a little longer: With four episodes written so far, there are no plans for ShAmy to have a baby.
“We do know that Amy and Sheldon ultimately have children but we don’t know if that will be seen in Big Bang Theory,” said Holland.
