Odenkirk didn’t hold back. He said he wouldn’t hesitate to take on The Brady Bunch. “I would happily kill them, they don’t even have to do anything. Not the littlest girl I wouldn’t hurt, it’s not her fault she’s a Brady.”

He even went after Alvin and the Chipmunks, imagining stepping on them and crushing them with a vivid description: “You have to hear the bones and the gush inside their body, you’re gonna cheer.”

But when it came to Macaulay Culkin’s character from Home Alone, Odenkirk drew the line. “I’m not going to hurt Kevin.

Bob Odenkirk is about to take a second stab at action stardom with Nobody 2, and if he has his way, it won't be the last time he plays Hutch Mansell. The Better Call Saul star wants to do multiple entries in the action franchise. He discussed it during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, hosted by Collider's Steve Weintraub.

While Hutch has tried to leave his days as a government-sponsored murder machine behind him, Odenkirk has plenty of ideas about getting him back into action while balancing his life with his family, and the film's balance of fantasy and reality:

"I somewhat boldly state that I think there could be four. I have ideas about where the character goes. The core sort of issue, which is, can you maintain, how can you live a civilized life, a family life, and then vent your worst rages on the world?...

It’s a solid pitch, not least because many love National Lampoons European Vacation. And also because we secretly believe that John Wick is name-checked in every Hollywood meeting these days.

Whichever approach the team behind Nobody took, the pitch worked. Although honestly, the 2021 original pretty much spoke for itself when it comes to the desire for a sequel. Often compared with the John Wick franchise, Nobody stars Odenkirk as a seemingly ordinary family man. However, he is a former, trained assassin, and the previous film had him fighting against a vengeful crime lord. Universal Pictures has now released the first trailer for Nobody 2, which sees Hutch balancing family life on vacation, as well as fighting bad guys.

The beginning of the almost-three-minute-long clip shows Hutch fighting his enemies in an elevator, as teased by one of the first-look stills from the upcoming action film. It also features his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen), complaining about how little time he spends with the family. So, they decide to take a vacation together. "Sometimes the most dangerous place for a dad is a family vacation," the film's logline reads.

Alongside a returning Bob Odenkirk, Nobody 2 also sees Connie Nielsen, RZA, Michael Ironside, Colin Salmon, Billy MacLellan, Gage Munroe, and beloved Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd reprise their respective roles. The sequel will also add several big names, including Jumanji actor Colin Hanks, Ghostbusters star Mckenna Grace, American Gangster’s John Ortiz, with Basic Instinct, Total Recall star and Hollywood icon Sharon Stone on board to play the movie’s main villain.

In 2021, Bob Odenkirk played the family man, Hutch Mansell, who turned out to have a violent past in Nobody. The action film was a critical and commercial hit, so a sequel was greenlit.

The movie has officially unveiled the first look at Bob Odenkirk's return as Hutch, four years after the release of the first film. The image, released by ScreenRant as part of the Exclusive Summer 2025 Movie Preview, shows Hutch in an elevator, looking straight ahead with a bloody nose. Fans can’t wait for John Krasinski’s return as titular globe-trotting spy in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan. After four exciting seasons, fans were treated to the news of a feature film which will take our favorite CIA analyst-turned-operative on to another adventure. While Krasinski himself gave fans a peek at the character when production began back in February, now Prime Video has unveiled new behind-the-scenes images that showcase action that we are going to indulge in.

The new images give us a look at various locations Jack will be at, including a courtroom and open fields, among others. One image showcases the return of Jack’s partner in solving crime, Mike November (Michael Kelly). The two are seen aboard a helicopter, who knows what these two are up to now? While the images do not give away any plot points, they certainly tease all the action and drama that’s in store.

The two co-stars filmed scenes for the upcoming Jack Ryan movie on Tuesday (April 15) in London, England.

For their time on set, John, 45, sported a black peacoat over a navy sweater paired with jeans while Sienna, 43, wore an olive-green trench coat.

Fellow cast member Max Beesley was also spotted on set.

It’s almost time to get to know Nobody 2.

During its CinemaCon presentation at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Wednesday afternoon, Universal Pictures debuted a first look at the Bob Odenkirk-starrer from filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto (May the Devil Take You) and 87North.

The film finds the Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul actor reprising his role as mild-mannered family man who is secretly a former government assassin. John Ortiz, Connie Nielsen, Sharon Stone, Christopher Lloyd and Colin Hanks round out the cast. The screenplay is by Derek Kolstad, Aaron Rabin, Umair Aleem and Odenkirk.

The footage, which kicked off with a voiceover announcement in the theater that Odenkirk is “back to kick ass and take more names,” and the scenes that played exclusively for the Colosseum showed him doing just that. It opens with Odenkirk’s character kicking a bunch of asses in an elevator while at a convention.

Amazon MGM Studios’ Jack Ryan feature, starring John Krasinski,Sienna Miller, Wendell Pierce and Michael Kelly,is preparing to shoot in the UK at the Story Works studio in London.

The as-yet-untitled feature about a CIA analyst is a continuation of theAmazon series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, in which Krasinski also stars. It has been filming in Dubai and will arrive in the UK in the coming weeks.

Andrew Bernstein directs having previously served as executive producer and director on series two. The script is written by Aaron Rabin and is based on characters from Tom Clancy’s book series.

Paramount's Jack Ryan reboot movie, The Sum of All Fears, is climbing the Netflix charts and currently sits at number four. The film was meant to relaunch the Ryanverse with a younger cast, and featured Ben Affleck as the famous CIA analyst. The cast was stacked, with Morgan Freeman as Dci William Cabot, James Cromwell as President Fowler, Phillip Baker Hall as Defense Secretary Becker, and Liev Schrieber as fan-favorite John Clark.

Phil Alden Robinson (The Field of Dreams) directed The Sum of All Fears, and it opened on May 31, 2002, not long after 9/11. The film follows Ryan as he tries to stop nuclear war from breaking out between the United States and Russia, following a nuclear bomb going off in Baltimore. The villains are re-worked into Austrian neo-Nazis who want war to happen so they can create a new fascist state in Europe.

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan star John Krasinski has shared an image of himself as the titular character in the upcoming movie. While the Amazon Prime Video show ended in 2023, last fall it was announced that the streamer, Krasinski, and the show's producers were moving ahead with a film. Earlier today, Amazon MGM Studios officially announced the start of production on their upcoming untitled Jack Ryan feature film, which will return 4x Primetime Emmy-nominee John Krasinski to the title role, and will serve as a sequel to the acclaimed Prime Video television series.

Andrew Bernstein is helming the feature, with a screenplay from Krasinski and Aaron Rabin. Bernstein previously helmed three episodes in season two of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, while Rabin penned five of the six episodes in the final season. Both also served as executive producers on their respective seasons.

In addition to Krasinski (The Office; A Quiet Place; 13 Hours) as the titular Jack Ryan, returning cast members will include Wendell Pierce (The Wire; Suits; Superman) as James Greer, Michael Kelly (House of Cards; Dawn of the Dead; Secret Invasion) as Mike November, and Betty Gabriel (Get Out; Upgrade; Defending Jacob) as Elizabeth Wright.

First announced in October 2024, the upcoming movie will serve as a continuation of the Jack Ryan series, which ran for four seasons on Prime Video. The film version of John Krasinski’s Jack Ryan is shaping up. It was reported late last year that Sienna Miller will star alongside the former star of The Office in the upcoming film adaptation, which is in development at Amazon MGM Studios. Now, Deadline is reporting that four more actors have joined the Tom Clancy-inspired thriller.

Max Beesley, Douglas Hodge, JJ Feild and Betty Gabriel have all joined Jack Ryan along with Miller. Gabriel is also a former cast member who appeared in the third and fourth seasons of the series. Amazon will be producing in association with Paramount Pictures and Skydance. Additionally, Krasinski and Allyson Seeger are producing via their Sunday Night production, and Andrew Form is also on board this project as a producer.

The cast of the new Jack Ryan movie is beginning to expand, with filming presumably now not too far away.

John Krasinski follows Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Chris Pine by playing Ryan on the big screen. In his case, he’s had a fair amount of practice too, having played Ryan on the hit television series, that’s cunningly entitled Jack Ryan.

It may well be that the new film, which is being backed by Amazon MGM, will also go by that name as well. It’s been known for a while that John Krasinski, Sienna Miller, Wendell Pierce and Michael Kelly are in the ensemble.

Now, some further additions have also been announced. Betty Gabriel, JJ Feild, Max Beesley and Douglas Hodge are signing on the dotted line.
