Kate Moss Watches Johnny Depp & Jeff Beck Play Third Show Together Just Days After She Testified On His Behalf – Update
Image
Updated: Just days after testifying on his behalf in Johnny Depp’s acrimonious $50 million defamation suit against Amber Heard, Kate Moss joined her ex-boyfriend as he jammed with Jeff Beck for a third night in a row on the guitar legend’s European tour.

According to multiple reports, Moss attended Tuesday’s show to see her ex and Beck perform at Royal Albert Hall in London.

Six days before, she gave very brief testimony via video, refuting a rumored allegation that the actor pushed her down a flight of stairs when they dated in the 1990s.

“He never pushed me, kicked me or threw me down any kind of stairs,” Moss said, testifying it was she who slipped and it was Depp who carried her back to the room and got her medical attention.

Anthony Bourdain Doc Director Morgan Neville on How He Balanced Tragedy and Joy in ‘Roadrunner’
Image
Documentarian Morgan Neville didn’t know Anthony Bourdain personally, but he felt the globe-trotting chef and author was a kindred spirit. “In many ways, we were doing the same kind of work,” says the Oscar-winning director, whose raw and personal documentary “Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain” premieres Friday at the Tribeca Festival ahead of a theatrical opening on July 16.

In Neville’s eyes, Bourdain was “this champion of the democratization of food, of treating street foods seriously and ethnic foods seriously, breaking down the border of Michelin star cooking.” With “Roadrunner,” Neville wanted to explore that adventurous side of the man who traveled hundreds of days every year, from Iran to the Congo to L.A.’s Koreatown. But, he says, there was also a question mark over his life: “How does that happen? How does a guy like that kill himself?”

Neville did know several people in Bourdain’s orbit,...

The Story Behind Selma's Golden Globe-Winning Song 'Glory'
Common at an event for Death at a Funeral (2010)
After taking home a Golden Globe for best original song in a motion picture, artists Common and John Legend explained how they came together to create "Glory." "The first day I stepped on the set of Selma, I began to feel like this was bigger than a movie," Common said during his acceptance speech at the awards ceremony Jan 11. "As I got to know the people of the Civil Rights Movement, I realized I am the hopeful black woman who was denied her right to vote. I am the caring white supporter killed on the front lines of freedom. I...

Robin Thicke confesses new truth about Pharrell Williams and 'Blurred Lines'
Pharrell Williams
Have you ever sat and wondered just who the person is behind the music on your iPod; what is taking place in their life? We all got a little insight into Robin Thicke earlier this year when he released the album, "Paula." It was, ostensibly, his attempt at winning back his estranged wife, Paula Patton. Now, Thicke may have to release a new album apologizing to his fans and attempting to win them back. He has, apparently, been lying to us all. To take a step back, it may seem like a long time ago, but it was just last year, 2013, when Thicke was riding high on the success of "Blurred Lines." The single, a massive success, was co-written by Thicke, Pharrell Williams, and Clifford "T.I" Harris Jr. Or was it? The three men are now in the middle of a lawsuit with Marvin Gay's heirs over "Blurred Lines" which,...

Watch 4-Minutes Of Footage From Jesse L. Martin's Marvin Gaye Biopic
Wow. This just snuck up on me, because I wasn't exactly expecting to see any footage so soon, especially with no new updates since our last report on the project, in June, when it was revealed publicly that shooting had been suspended on Julien Temple’s Marvin Gaye biopic, Sexual Healing, starring Jesse L. Martin (as Gaye), S. Epatha Merkerson (as Marvin’s Gaye’s mother, Alberta Cooper Gay), and Dwight Henry (as Marvin Gaye’s father, Marvin Gay, Sr.). It was reported that there was a possibility that the film might not see completion (at least, not anytime soon), because Focus Features International, the...

Oh-Oh! Shooting On Jesse L. Martin's Marvin Gaye Biopic Stalls Due To Financing Issues
Well, this doesn't look good. A month ago, we reported that shooting had been suspended for what was to be 2 weeks on Julien Temple’s Marvin Gaye biopic, Sexual Healing, starring Jesse L. Martin's (as Gaye), S. Epatha Merkerson (as Marvin’s Gaye’s mother, Alberta Cooper Gay), and Dwight Henry (as Marvin Gaye’s father, Marvin Gay, Sr.). Focus Features International, the company that picked up the project, and shopped it at the Cannes Film Festival last month, said, in response to the announced 2 week hiatus, that it didn't have anything to do with financing, or any other problems that would hurt the...

Marvin Gaye’s Sister Tries To Show ‘The Man Behind The Music’
Marvin Gaye
Most people know how the story ends: “Singer Marvin Gaye shot twice by father on the eve of his 45th birthday.”

But not as many know the lifetime of events that culminated on that fatal afternoon in 1984 in a 25-room Hollywood mansion, when Marvin Gay Sr. retrieved a .38-caliber revolver, pointed it at his son and squeezed the trigger, shooting Marvin twice in the torso, once at point-blank range.

Lenny Kravitz As Marvin Gaye In A Julian Temple-Directed Biopic
The American rocker Lenny Kravitz has reportedly signed on to British director Julian Temple‘s film depicting the last three years of the soul singer Marvin Gaye’s life.

The project is named after the Midnight Love album which Gaye recorded in Brussels in the early 80s and will also focus on the making of the album as well as his struggling with alcohol, drug addiction and mounting tax problems.

If the film starts in 1981, we’re assuming it includes a tragic day for music on April 1st, 1984 when Marvin Gaye was shot dead by his father Marvin Gay Sr.

The American Woman hit-maker has already proved his acting chops as Cinna in this year’s earlier monster hit movie The Hunger Games and with small role in Precious , but if the rumors are true, this will mark his debut as a leading man; Will Smith and Terrence Howard had...

Melissa Etheridge On New CD: 'I'm Exploring Being 51'
Melissa Etheridge
New York -- At 51, Melissa Etheridge isn't coasting on her accomplishments. Take her guitar work.

The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, whose 12th studio album has been released this week, challenged herself to play all the guitar parts this time around for the first time.

"I kind of thought when I was 30 that you're as good as your going to get. And that's not true," she says. "I have gotten so much better and I'm celebrating it on this album."

The album, "4th Street Feeling," has a dozen songs that mostly look backward – to her parents, childhood and breakups. It's named after a street in Etheridge's hometown of Leavenworth, Kan.

"I'm exploring being 51. I'm exploring the maturity, the wisdom that just comes from having gone around the sun 50 times," she says. "My experience is, `Oh, I'm never really going to get it right. I'm never going to get it done. But that's not the point here.
