A Stormtrooper helmet from “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” fetched $256,000 at an auction held Sunday at Comic-Con in San Diego.
According to Julien’s Auctions and Turner Classic Movies, the helmet was an original stunt helmet used during filming. “This helmet is believed to be featured in scenes on Tatooine as a ‘Sandtrooper’ helmet.”
The description noted that only six stunt helmets were “known to have survived and are accounted for in private collections – this being one of the six.”
Other items that were sold at the auction include an original stunt lightsaber prop used by Ewan McGregor as “Obi-Wan Kenobi” and an original bladed lightsaber prop used by Liam Neeson, who played Qui-Gon Jinn in “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.” Each sold for $38,400. Darth Maul’s (Ray Park) lightsaber from “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace” sold for $76,800.

An actor from Star Wars'Mandalorian franchise has admitted they can't talk about their potential return; does that mean they will return? As The Mandalorian gears up for its big screen debut with The Mandalorian and Grogu next year, there are still a lot of unanswered questions. Very few actors or characters have been confirmed for Star Wars' theatrical return so far.
This includes supporting Mandalorian franchise players like Boba Fett, The Armorer, Bo-Katan Kryze, Carson Teva, and Cobb Vanth. The only characters we currently know for certain who will appear in the movie are Din Djarin, Grogu, Jabba the Hutt's son, Rotta, and Star Wars Rebels alumnus Garazeb Orrelios.
As such, when ScreenRant's Joe Deckelmeier spoke to Timothy Olyphant about his upcoming Alien TV prequel, Alien: Earth, at San Diego Comic-Con, it was hard to resist asking the actor about his possible return to Star Wars. Olyphant was last seen as Cobb Vanth,...

When Ubisoft unveiled Star Wars Outlaws at the Xbox Games Showcase in 2023, fans were promised a bold new direction for their favorite galaxy far, far away: an open-world scoundrel adventure filled with high-stakes missions, shady underworld figures, and morally gray choices. But now that the dust has settled, it’s clear the game didn’t quite hit hyperspace like Ubisoft hoped for.
Sales have been lackluster, and reviews have been polarizing. In a recent statement, Yves Guillemot of Ubisoft pointed not at bugs or design choices, but at the broader Star Wars brand itself. The phrase he used?
“Choppy waters.”

Do you want to hear about the Gear Wars?
Of course not, nobody does. Yet Rick’s most boring friend on Rick and Morty can’t help but talk about them. Whereas Rick’s stoic pal Birdperson is always ready for an adventure and Mr. Poopybutthole’s trainwreck of a life never ceases to be interesting, Gearhead’s presence is usually a drag, and that’s precisely what the Rick and Morty fanbase loves about him.
Nonetheless, I recently caught up with his voice actor, Scott Chernoff, to talk about all things Gearhead — yes, even the Gear Wars. Despite Gearhead’s reputation, I promise that our conversation was far from boring.
How did you end up playing Gearhead?
I worked a lot with Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland in the past. They met at Channel 101, this video festival that we all used to do, and we just started working together.

Stepping into a Star Wars role can be daunting for anyone, but for Obi-Wan Kenobi's Vivian Lyra Blair, the pressure of pleasing fans and carrying Carrie Fisher's legacy was unimaginable.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series surprised fans by focusing on a young Princess Leia Organa and not a young Luke Skywalker. This was a twist that was unexpected and difficult to hide during filming. Behind the scenes, the little girl tasked with portraying a 10-year-old Leia Organa had to cope with heavy expectations.
Via ScreenRant, in a recent interview with More Than You See, Vivien Lyra Blair spoke candidly about the anxiety she felt as a 9-year-old stepping into a franchise with passionate fans. Blair was asked how she felt about playing Leia Organa, a role that's become synonymous with the late Carrie Fisher. Simply put, Blair says she was "terrified."
"I didn’t want to do anything that could possibly dishonor her legacy.

The Star Wars story incorporates a lot of things. Lightsabers, spaceships, and even Baby Yodas all highlight just how vast and intricate that legendary galaxy so far, far away truly is. One other element that has been prevalent throughout the franchise's near-50-year run is death.
Death is inevitable in the Star Wars franchise, as some of the saga's most beloved characters have met their end at the hands of some of the galaxy's most treacherous villains. The question is: Could any of them ever return from the dead?
In a film series like Star Wars, absolutely. We've already seen multiple characters return in recent years thanks to the various Disney Plus shows. Boba Fett is a perfect example of this, as it was heavily implied that this character had once died. But there he was by The Mandalorian's side just a few short years ago.

While I've been critical of young Anakin in The Phantom Menace, I still think the prequels have always gotten a bad rap. They were pretty great movies that critics panned.
The critics may have decided they weren't good before they even came out—and Hayden Christensen especially received a ton of hate—but they were never meant to be the same as the original trilogy. And despite a relatively poor Rotten Tomatoes score, the fans have always loved the prequels, and none hit harder than Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
Even now, twenty years later, it's still the same glorious cinematic experience it was in 2005.
This past April, in celebration of its 20th anniversary, Lucasfilm and Disney re-released Revenge of the Sith in theaters. During the one week it was available, it topped over $40 million globally. That's impressive for a twenty-year-old movie that critics were lukewarm on.
But why did it perform so well?...

When you hear about characters such as Boba Fett and Darth Vader, you probably consider them top-tier Star Wars characters. What if they're actually just fine, and extremely overrated?
Brace yourself, as there are some hot takes ahead as we break down the five most overrated characters in the Star Wars franchise!

Boba Fett has an interesting out-of-universe Star Wars history. He first appeared as an animated character in the infamous 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special, then went on to appear in the final two movies of the Original Trilogy. He also appeared in the prequels, in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and got his own show, The Book of Boba Fett, in 2021.

With Chief of War set to arrive on Apple TV+, fans couldn’t help but notice that it’s going to bring 2 of the strongest characters from other franchises together! It’s going to be Khal Drogo vs Boba Fett, and we can’t keep calm!
Jason Momoa, with his career-defining role as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, will bring all his primal strength to fight Temuera Morrison, who is best known for his role as Boba Fett in Star Wars. Fandoms are going crazy over this clash of two fantastic icons, and the stakes are a lot higher as we await these two face-to-face against each other in this historical drama series. It’s going to be a cultural clash we didn’t know we needed!

There are many rumors swirling as to the future of films in the Star Wars franchise. Many are wondering if the characters from the sequel trilogy will return in either cameos or stand-alone films. From Daisy Ridley to Oscar Isaac, there are many actors in the Star Wars franchise who have also been the subject of much speculation.
One actor from the final film in the Skywalker Saga is Keri Russell. The actress played Zori Bliss, a spice runner and one-time former associate of the main character, Poe Dameron, in The Rise of Skywalker.
The character was clouded in mystery with a cool look and design, but also displayed human moments and was one of the heroes towards the end of the film. Russell added to the mystery of the character and added depth to her, despite having only one moment in the film where you could see the actress's eyes.

Not all Star Wars movies are created equal—especially when it comes to hitting that play button a third or fourth (or thirtieth or fortieth) time. Whether you're a die-hard fan or a casual viewer, some entries in the saga just beg for repeat viewings. Maybe it’s the pacing, the characters, the action, or that one lightsaber duel you can’t stop thinking about—I'm looking at you, Darth Maul.
But some movies...well, some you watch just once, simply because it's Star Wars, never to pick them up again.
I know, I know...Star Wars lists abound all over the internet. We've even got our own here, where we show you how the movies stack up according to Rotten Tomatoes. But they've got The Last Jedi at No. 4.
That can't be right. Can it?

The Star Wars saga inspires so many emotions within its fans, and one of the most important is nostalgia. After all, the beloved Lucasfilm movie series has been with us our whole lives; how could you not enjoy the throwbacks, returns, and cameos that reminded us where the story is this galaxy so far, far away all began.
There have been many legends in the Star Wars story throughout the years. Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Mandalorian, Boba Fett, and now Jod Na Nawood. Yep, a who's who of legendary characters - some classic, some modern - with even more legendary stars bringing them to life.

It started with a droid and turned into a call to action.
Actor Chris Bartlett, known for his many droid roles in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, recently took to Instagram to address a striking image circulating online: an AI-generated poster teasing “Chapter 2” of The Book of Boba Fett.
While Bartlett clarified that the image is not official, what followed was truthfully more interesting than the photo itself. Fans left a deluge of comments pleading for Book of Boba season 2 and hyping Bartlett’s potential return, not just as 8D8 or Q9-0, but possibly even as Triple Zero from the Doctor Aphra comics.
“I personally believe it is AI created,” Bartlett wrote, “but fans have the loudest voice where studios are concerned. If you’d like to see the darker underworld of Fett’s dominion… then shout it from the mountaintops.”

There’s a moment in Andor season 2, quiet, unflashy, barely even scored, when Mon Mothma glances sideways at her driver, and we know that she knows. In that instant, the stakes aren’t political; they’re personal. That’s been the genius of Andor since season 1 debuted. It doesn’t shout. It whispers, and somehow, it’s echoed across the entire galaxy.
In a franchise defined by lightsabers, legacy names, and Jedi mind tricks, Andor does something bolder than a J.J. Abrams action scene ever could. It strips away the fan service and says, “What if we earned your attention the old-fashioned way? With storytelling.”
This, after all, is what Star Wars is meant to be. From the day A New Hope hit theaters in 1977, it’s really been about the stories, hasn’t it? At the crux of this galaxy we all love so much are tales we don...

I was 11 years old when Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace was released in theaters. While I'm 37 now, one of the most vivid things I remember from that time, besides seeing the film, was the Pepsi promotion for the film.
For those who don't remember or weren't around at that point, the Pepsi promotion saw the Pepsi Company release cans of Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Diet Pepsi, and Pepsi One during the release of The Phantom Menace. Each can had a character from the film on it, along with a small blurb about them. The company even created Marfalump, a mascot to help promote it. There were 25 cans in total to collect, with one of them being a gold Yoda can.
PepsiCo and Star Wars collaborated on the creation of this alien, Marfalump, as part of the Phantom Menace ad campaign.
Marfalump canonically lives in Iowa, and loves Star Wars and Pepsi.

George Lucas' canceled TV show, Star Wars: Underworld, would reportedly have featured the return of Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi in a duel with Darth Maul. It's easy to forget that George Lucas himself was the one who spun Star Wars out beyond a film franchise. In fact, in the 2000s, he planned to make a live-action Star Wars TV show.
We don't know much about Lucas' planned live-action TV show. Apparently scripts for 60 episodes of Star Wars: Underworld were prepared, and we know one story featured an unlikely romance in which Palpatine was betrayed by a gangster. But now new reports suggest Underworld would have been even more ground-breaking.
We know that Star Wars: Underworld was set on the lower levels of Coruscant in the Dark Times of the Empire's reign. Yahoo! just dropped a fascinating report including some rumored plots:

When the Star Wars universe revived itself in 2015 with The Force Awakens, it felt like the dawn of a bold new age. The movie raked in huge profits, made household names of folk like Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver, and set the franchise up for more success down the road.
Then came The Last Jedi in 2017, which divided the fandom. Then came The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, which did it again. In between, there were standalone hits like Rogue One and underperformers like Solo. And then came the TV shows, some of which hit, some of which flopped, and some of which are floating in the middle (Ahsoka).
The franchise now finds itself in the same position it's been in since at least 2017: unsure what direction to take. At one point, Lucasfilm was going to go all-in on multiple trilogies, including one from Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss,...

Ming-Na Wen has been in multiple live-action and animated Star Wars projects. Even though Wen's career spans several years, and she has a great resume, Star Wars has always meant a lot to her since her childhood.
Via CinemaBlend, Ming-Na Wen shared that she was excited for her mom, Lin Chan Wen, to see her as Fennec Shand, but her mother's "condescending" reaction took her by surprise. Though there's no news of a second season of The Book of Boba Fett, there is Boba Fett news nonetheless. The ruthless bounty hunter turned crime syndicate leader is getting a new comic miniseries, a unique color scheme, and four new stories you aren't going to want to miss.
Star Wars: Boba Fett — Black, White & Red -- out this fall -- is a four-issue miniseries composed of standalone stories by different writers. Fans are itching to see more of the newly announced Boba Fett story, as it may finally give them what they wanted from a controversial Disney+ series. Boba Fett was last the focus of the oft-maligned Book of Boba Fett streaming show, a series that, outside of two specific episodes, has been widely heralded as one of the worst within the franchise. This came after the Mandalorian spin-off had been branded as a Star Wars crime saga that would outpace fans' expectations.
The wait for this epic Boba Fett story (which Book of Boba Fett was initially promised to be) might finally come to fruition. Star Wars officially announced a new comic book focusing on Temuera Morrison's armor-clad bounty hunter outside of the events of the mainline movies.

Everyone has an opinion about The Book of Boba Fett, but we can all agree that Temuera Morrison is a beloved member of the Star Wars franchise. This is why it's upsetting to hear that Morrison has been left in limbo since the show's finale.
A lot of this has to do with the direction Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni took in The Mandalorian Season 3, as the entire season focused on Bo-Katan and the retaking of Mandalore. Many fans figured that Boba Fett would play a role in reclaiming his father's home world, but that's not what happened. Morrison was understandably upset and admitted that he was waiting for a call from Lucasfilm.
He reiterated the same in a new interview with Collider, where he revealed that he's sad about the silence regarding the future of Boba Fett. Morrison said, "I'm sad too. Where is The Book of Boba Fett...

While the television side of Star Wars has proven much more successful than the feature film side of things, there is the occasional project that ends up not having a bright future ahead of itself. Whereas shows like The Mandalorian and Andor were able to tell the complete stories they wanted (with the former transitioning to the big screen), other series, like The Book of Boba Fett and The Acolyte, wouldn't live past a first season. Now, Boba Fett actor Temura Morrison has spoken out about the ambiguous future for the character and his series, while also expressing his wish to return to a galaxy far, far away.
While promoting his new movie Ka Whawhai Tonu (In The Fire of War), Morrison talked to Collider about his lack of appearances in Star Wars projects, which the interviewer was saddened by. The actor would agree, saying:

Temuera Morrison has opened up about Boba Fett's uncertain future in Star Wars and the fate of The Book of Boba Fett. Despite Morrison’s triumphant return as Boba Fettin The Mandalorian season 2, the character’s storyline faltered in his spinoff show, The Book of Boba Fett. While the issues with that seven-episode series had nothing to do with Morrison’s work – the pacing, double timelines, and Din Djarin and Grogu’s prominent inclusion shifted the focus from Boba and his partner, Fennec Shand – his character has nevertheless been stuck in limbo.
Though The Book of Boba Fett was never officially canceled (The Acolyte was the first Star Wars show to suffer that fate in the trades), there has been no word on a potential second season, having been billed as a limited series. In a recent interview with Collider, Morrison spoke about his desire for The Book of Boba Fett...

It’s been over three years since The Book of Boba Fett concluded with its controversial season finale, and despite star Temuera Morrison being one of the longest-tenured stars in the universe, the character hasn’t been seen since. Few would push back against the claim that The Book of Boba Fett wasn’t without its issues, but none of these are the fault of Morrison, who portrayed the character with the same heart that he’s been doing for years. Collider’s Maggie Lovitt recently caught up with Morrison to chat about his new movie Ka Whawhai Tonu (In The Fire of War), and she mentioned how sad she was that we haven’t seen him in Star Wars since his series went off the air. Morrison expressed the same sentiment:
"I'm sad too. Where The Book of Boba Fett Season 2? Where the hell is Season 2? I know they're doing Ahsoka Season 2. I'm going,...

Conundrum: you get a prestigious four-decade career, but you literally just say “meep-meep” the entire time.

The past decade has seen Star Wars grow in all directions beyond what anyone could've expected a few years ago. From projects predating the Skywalker Saga to new ones set after the Sequel Trilogy, there's something for fans of every era.
However, this growth is challenging to sustain, and as Chief Creative Officer, it's Dave Filoni's responsibility to ensure consistency across every era. He knows that one project can't contradict anything that came before it or after it. This job will only get more complicated for Filoni as Star Wars dives into the High Republic era and begins work on projects set after the sequel trilogy.
Via Yahoo.com, Dave Filoni draws inspiration from Kevin Feige's success with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Filoni revealed, "We are figuring all these things out and looking at every project, and yeah, it's like project development. They don't all develop at the same time.

In 1977, the science-fiction genre changed forever when "Star Wars" released in theaters. By 2025, "Star Wars" is almost taken for granted, with fans wishing new movies and TV shows could save the franchise. It may seem impossible to remember a time when new "Star Wars" projects were scarce, but even a few years after the release of "Episode IV: A New Hope," creators were taking inspiration from George Lucas' magnum opus.
Whether they're sketches on "Saturday Night Live" or entire feature-length movies, it's no surprise that the multimedia franchise has garnered a plethora of parodies. All kinds of comedy outlets, from "The Simpsons" to "The Whitest Kids U' Know," have spoofed "Star Wars," but only a few have rivaled the original trilogy's greatness.
These 13 parodies and spoofs of "Star Wars" don't just mock the sci-fi franchise, but at times they pay homage in ways that might seem way too committed even for hardcore Jedi enthusiasts.

Ming-Na Wen's storied career as an actor has led to honors, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was named a Disney Legend in 2019 for her contributions to Disney, including her performance as Mulan and Fennec Shand, a role she hopes to reprise in The Book of Boba Fett Season 2.
In a new interview with Collider, Wen detailed her journey in Hollywood, and while her achievements can easily fill up more than a page, she says she's always dealt with impostor syndrome. She recalls having a breakdown while planning a party to celebrate her Walk of Fame induction. Wen says, "But it made me so nervous. And there's also a little bit of that impostor syndrome that happens where you're just like, 'Really? Do I deserve it?' So many things went through my head."

Even though The Mandalorian is making the jump to the big screen with The Mandalorian & Grogu, it sounds like one of the series' original characters definitely won't be part of the film. Ming-Na Wen, a Disney legend who voiced Mulan in the 1998 animated film and played Melinda May in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., joined the Star Wars franchise in 2019 as Fennec Shand. Shand is a bounty hunter who has been operating since the beginning of the Empire and was operating during the Era of the New Republic. Thanks to Wen's performance, Shand has become a fan-favorite Star Wars character in just six years, and fans have been waiting to see her return.
While promoting her latest film, Karate Kid: Legends, Wen told Screen Rant that her bounty hunter Fennec Shand will not appear in The Mandalorian & Grogu. Shand was introduced in The Mandalorian Season 1 "Chapter...

Fennec Shand sadly won't be reuniting with The Mandalorian's leads in their big-screen debut.
At the Karate Kid: Legends premiere, Ming-Na Wen spoke with Screen Rant host Liam Crowley about her fan-favorite Star Wars character's future and when fans can expect to see Fennec going forward. Regarding her status in the upcoming The Mandalorian & Grogu movie, Wen lamented, "Well, I mean I'm not in it, but if I can be that would be great." However, the actress suggested there might be room for her bounty hunter to return down the Star Wars timeline, stating, "I hope we see Fennec again. Yes, because I miss her too."
Originally introduced as one-off character in The Mandalorian's fifth episode, Shand would eventually be revived courtesy of Boba Fett's involvment, with Wen later starring opposite Temuera Morrison in The Book of Boba Fett. According to Wen, she received the part...

A major star from The Book of Boba Fett – and the wider Mandalorian era – has confirmed whether they’ll make their big-screen Star Wars debut in next year’s The Mandalorian and Grogu. Seven years after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premiered, Lucasfilm is hedging its bets and using its most successful live-action TV streaming series to push the franchise back into cinemas. The result is The Mandalorianand Grogu, which will reunite viewers with Din Djarin and Grogu after the events of The Mandalorian season 3.
Of course, Din’s and Grogu’s story is inextricably intertwined with another Mandalorian-era show, The Book of Boba Fett, which saw Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand take over Jabba the Hutt’s palace and criminal empire on Tatooine. Some actors come in hot, they land a hot role, deliver an Oscar speech, and boom – a legend is born. And then there are others. The ones who never make a big fuss or grab the attention of the photographers when they step on the red carpet, and yet, keep delivering some of the finest performances of their generation. These are some of the actors who quietly build careers not because of the fame that comes with it, but because of their love for cinema.
These are some of the faces you recognize but can’t always put a name to. They show up in your favorite movies, improve every scene they are in significantly, and then disappear to do their next great role. No ego, no spotlight, just working with some of the finest directors.
Today, we are going to refocus that spotlight and shine it on these actors...

Lucasfilm has been making Star Wars TV shows for nearly two decades, starting with the animated series The Clone Wars, which began in 2008. But production really ramped up when The Mandalorian, the first-ever live-action Star Wars show, premiered in 2019. After that, Lucasfilm and Disney went crazy, making new shows almost faster than fans could keep up.

Padmé Amidalaactress Natalie Portman has the perfect pitch for her Star Warsreturn, and I genuinely hope it happens. Padmé is absolutely one of Star Wars' best characters, and throughout her appearances in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, she proved how fierce, intelligent, and strong she really was. Sadly, that came to an end in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith with Padmé's death, but that hasn't stopped audiences from wanting Portman's return—and she may have the perfect way to do it.
During an interview with the UK's The One Show, Natalie Portman explained that, if Padmé were to return, she'd want her to come back "With a lightsaber. I think she'd have to be a Jedi. Somehow, she was brought back from the dead; that would be exciting." While that seems unlikely to really happen, it's such a fun idea, and it's thrilling to know...

We’re in the endgame of Tony Gilroy’s Andor, and while season 1 of the Star Wars spy thriller played out across 12 weeks, things have been moving at a breakneck speed as each three-episode arc covers a year in the run-up to the cataclysmic events of 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Love or hate Rotten Tomatoes, there's no denying that it's become a pivotal tool for studios and can quite easily sway moviegoers and TV fans alike when it comes time to check out a new release.
Starting with The Mandalorian in 2019 (which launched at the same time as Disney+), the Star Wars franchise has expanded massively on the small screen and turned the property into one seen primarily on streaming rather than in theaters. For the most part, though, Lucasfilm has delivered hit after hit...even when fans aren't happy.
With Andor season 2 officially becoming the best-reviewed Star Wars TV show ever, we thought now would be a good time to see how each of these compares according to their respective Rotten Tomatoes scores.

If Darth Maul can survive being chopped In Half and plummeting down an endless chute, then Mace Windu has got to be able to shake off a few volts, a chopped off hand, and a fall off a skyscraper? Right? Samuel L. Jackson has been vocal that Mace Windu is still out there, but could Bryce Dallas Howard be the one to bring the Jedi Master back?
While speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Howard said that Samuel L. Jackson has “been incredibly supportive of me, and has told me many times that he would act in something that I directed.“

Jon Favreau is one of the minds behind the hit TV series, The Mandalorian, which has been one of the most successful Star Wars projects in the past several years. Recently, the series creator discussed the future of the show, especially considering the upcoming release of a spin-off feature film in 2026.
In an interview with Collider, Favreau discussed The Mandalorian's jump to the big screen with The Mandalorian & Grogu. During Star WarsCelebration in Japan, Favreau said, "Right now, I'm focusing on the feature because we still have another year of the story. Clearly, Favreau's attention is on the film project at the moment, which means there will be no Season 4 in the near future – if at all. However, it could...

Jackson Hughes got his first Lego set, the Adventurer’s Scorpion Tracker, as a gift from his best friend when he was a child. But no good deed goes unpunished, especially in the reckless days of childhood, and a few years later, when he was roughhousing at the best friend’s home, the Lego version of a starship flown by Star Wars character Jango Fett came crashing off the top of a bookshelf.
