Sean Schemmel Didn’t Want to Voice Goku but This Dragon Ball Character When Christopher Sabat Called Him After Audition
Image
Dragon Ball is one of the top-tier shonen franchises, holding on strong after decades. The hard work, resilience, and persistence are something that the series lives by. It also taught the generations the importance of self-belief and strength.

What truly enhances the message in the anime is the voice acting. Yes, the characters fuel any story or narrative, but actors catalyze it. They mould them well, and Sean Schemmel is no exception. However, the Goku voice actor had different plans altogether.

In other words, Schemmel had another character in mind after his audition. That is, before Christopher Sabat called him, but there’s something quite interesting about it. Amid the bickering and banter, both voice artists have one thing in common, which we see throughout the series.

Sean Schemmel eyed another Dragon Ball character

Dragon Ball isn’t a cliche, run-of-the-mill Shonen series, but a cult phenomenon in many ways.
