Beulah Helms Brown was a well known psychic in New York City in the 1930s, who later founded the Little Cedar Church on the fourth floor of 100 W 72nd Street. In 1974, she formed the adult film production company Skinny Films with Beau Buchanan. Brown gave jazz musician Horace Silver the name for his label Silveto in the late 1970s.
