Jonathan Bailey's Bridgerton Season 4 Update Seemingly Confirms One Major Show Change From Benedict's Book
Image
Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey has potentially confirmed the show's upcoming season will include a major relationship milestone that was missing from Benedict's original story. Second son Benedict's (Luke Thompson) world is about to be turned upside down, as he falls in love with a Cinderella-like mystery woman, Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), at his mother's masquerade ball. As ever, though, Bridgerton season 4 will feature the various members of the Bridgerton family, including Bailey's Viscount, Anthony Bridgerton, and his wife, Kate, the Viscountess (Simone Ashley).

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bailey confirmed that he was happy to return to Bridgerton for as long as they'll have him, a welcome piece of news considering Daphne Bridgerton's (Phoebe Dynevor) absence from the show in season 3. Bailey explained that he felt a "real sense of brotherly pride" while working on the show and accidentally let slip that he had...

‘Bridgerton’ Renewed for Seasons 5 and 6, Season 4 Coming to Netflix in 2026
Image
“Bridgerton” will continue its reign at Netflix with an additional two-season greenlight.

The Regency era romance series has been renewed for Seasons 5 and 6 at Netflix, the streamer announced Wednesday during its upfront presentation in New York City. Netflix also announced that Season 4 will debut in 2026, but did not specify any specific release window beyond that.

“Bridgerton” Season 3 debuted in two parts in May and June 2024, respectively, while Season 2 premiered in March 2022 and Season 1 debuted in December 2020, so a spring or summer release for Season 4 looks likely. Filming for “Bridgerton” Season 4 kicked off in September 2024, just months after Season 3 dropped on Netflix, at Shepperton Studios in London.

Netflix similarly granted a two-season renewal for “Bridgerton” in 2021, bringing the series up through Season 4.

While the shocking conclusion of Season 3 led to fan speculation regarding which Bridgerton sibling could lead Season 4, Netflix announced the fourth installment will focus on Benedict (Luke Thompson), as...

5 worst Harlan Coben Netflix shows that just don’t deliver (and you can skip)
Image
If you're a fan of thrillers, Netflix has no shortage of options, especially with its selection of Harlan Coben adaptations. Coben, known for his suspenseful novels, has become a popular name in the streaming world with many of his books turned into Netflix shows. However, not all of them live up to the hype.

As of right now, there are 10 television series adaptations and one original series of his currently streaming on Netflix. They are Safe, Stay Close, The Innocent, The Stranger, Gone for Good, The Woods, Hold Tight, Missing You, Caught, Fool Me Once and Just One Look. While each of these series has its share of twists and surprises, not all of them succeed in maintaining your interest or keeping the momentum strong throughout. Some may leave you hooked for a few episodes, only to disappoint with predictable plotlines, pacing issues, underdeveloped characters, or unsatisfying conclusions.

Netflix's Survival Thriller Movie With 75% Rt Score Becomes Global Hit After Just Days Of Its Release
Image
Netflix's new survival thriller with a 75% Rotten Tomatoes score has become a global hit just days after its release. Since 2015, the popular streaming service has been producing original movies that fall into a wide range of genres from action, horror, thriller, romantic comedy, and science-fiction. Within this wide range, thrillers are particularly popular, with many of Netflix's 2024 movies falling into the genre, including Rebel Ridge, Trigger Warning, The Union, and many more.

Among Netflix's original movies, survival thrillers seem to hold an extra special appeal, focusing on characters fighting against extreme odds and often blending elements from various genres, mainly horror. In 2018, Sandra Bullock's Bird Box became one of Netflix's most-watched movies in its history. Additionally, the Spanish-language The Platform, packed with social commentary, and the French-language Under Paris are among Netflix's most-watched non-English movies. The former was followed by a sequel, The Platform 2, in 2024, which briefly became the No.

‘Don’t Move’ Review: A Decent Sam Raimi-Produced High-Concept Horror-Thriller Featuring Kelsey Asbille and Finn Wittrock’s Solid Performances
Image
Co-directors Brian Netto and Adam Schindler’s Don’t Move got me interested with the fact it was produced under Sam Raimi’s production banner with the man himself serving as one of the producers and of course, boasting a high-concept storytelling hook for a horror-thriller genre: What if you find your whole body completely paralyzed?

But the result of the paralysis has nothing to do with an accident, stroke, spinal cord injury or even nerve disorders. Instead, it happens due to the paralytic agent injection by a… psychotic serial killer. That killer in question is Richard (Finn Wittrock of TV’s American Horror Story) or at least that’s what he called himself after he met a grieving young woman, Iris (Kelsey Asbille of TV’s Teen Wolf and Yellowstone). Iris is going for a morning hike at the time somewhere in the remote wilderness and arrives on the mountain,...

Don't Move Review: Expansive Spaces Make Way For Claustrophobic Terror In Sam Raimi-Produced Horror

Don't Move is a spectacular new thriller produced by Sam Raimi starring Kelsey Asbille and Finn Wittrock. The film utilizes an extremely lean cast and a beautiful setting within a densely wooded area to create something unique and spectacular with just a few resources. As a result, this horror film maintains a consistent tension that continues to build and expand until the film's final moments.

‘Don’t Move’ Review: Sam Raimi Produces Modest But Effective Netflix ‘Psycho’-Style Thriller With Finn Wittrock Terrorizing Kelsey Asbille
Image
There is no question when it comes to horror and hardcore suspense thrillers that Sam Raimi knows the territory very well, so we are in good hands when we see his name attached, even if it is only as a producer this time and not as director. This is similar to the hand-off he did with 2016’s Don’t Breathe, which was directed by Fede Alvarez. Now, in the apparent second installment of Raimi’s “Don’t” franchise, we get Don’t Move, another thriller with a simplistic generic title that warns the audience they are in for a tense adventure. This one comes from the filmmaking team of Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, working off a script by T.J. Cimfe and David White that is not horror as much as the latest entry in the seemingly normal family man-turned-psychotic killer genre.

“Don’t Move” Arrives on Netflix: A New Suspense Thriller Starring Finn Wittrock and Kelsey Asbille
Moray Treadwell, Finn Wittrock, Denis Kostadinov, Kelsey Asbille, Daniel Francis, and Kate Nichols in Don't Move (2024)
“Don’t Move” is a Netflix movie starring Finn Wittrock, Kelsey Asbille. With Moray Treadwell, and Daniel Francis. It is directed by Brian Netto and Adam Schindler.

“Don’t Move” is a film that relies heavily on a limited number of characters and minimal settings, channeling its entire strength into the script and direction. With a solid premise, the directors manage to create a functional movie, presenting a tense thriller with some interesting plot twists and moments of genuine suspense. But does it leave a lasting impression? That remains to be seen.

Plot Summary

The story begins with a woman standing on the edge of a cliff, contemplating suicide. A man appears and kindly persuades her not to go through with it. However, after they leave the scene together, the man kidnaps her and administers a drug that renders her immobile.

‘Don’t Move’ Review: Contrived Netflix Thriller Sets a Daunting Acting Challenge for Kelsey Asbille
Image
Here’s a suicidal hypothetical only a horror director would think of: What if the moment a deeply troubled young woman (Kelsey Asbille) was about to throw herself off a cliff, a serial killer (Finn Wittrock) showed up, talked her off the ledge and then abducted the woman for some far grislier purpose? Would this psycho’s plan still count as murder, or because this victim had already made up her mind to die, is there some less damning word for it?

Conspicuously subpar Netflix cheapie “Don’t Move” starts with that contrivance and then piles on another: Once the woman regains consciousness, her captor reveals that he’s injected her with a “special relaxant” that will start to kick in at any moment. From the moment it does, the sedative will take 20 minutes before Iris is completely paralyzed. What would you do in her situation?

The point, of course, is...

Netflix's Don't Move Cast & Character Guide
Image
In its 92-minute runtime, Netflix's Don't Move not only walks through a compelling tale of grief and survival but also features some memorable character beats and performances. Directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Netto and co-produced by Sam Raimi, Don't Move does not try to reinvent the survival thriller formula. Instead, it presents a familiar narrative where a woman, Iris, faces one obstacle after another as she struggles to survive. What makes her journey even more gripping is that she gets injected with a paralytic agent that slowly shuts her body down.

Although Don't Move does not promise to be any different from the regular share of survival thrillers, it keeps viewers at the edge of their seats with its well-written story progressions. Despite its limited runtime, the movie also manages to bring emotional depth to its main character's narrative by dabbling with themes surrounding grief. Given how Don't...

Don’t Move Teaser: Sam Raimi is Back to His Roots after Doctor Strange 2 Debacle

Sam Raimi has given fans many memories to cherish. Be it Spider-Man bidding farewell to Harry Osborn. Or the magical world James Franco’s Oz tumbled into. The director has truly enthralled the audience for generations. But what has made Raimi the icon that he was, is his mastery of the macabre.

Back in the late 20th century, Raimi came out with a plethora of horror movies that cemented his reputation in the industry. The Evil Dead trilogy was one such franchise which cemented his legacy. And after a long hiatus from making horror movies, it looks like he is back with a banger.

What to Expect From Benedict’s ‘Bridgerton’ Season
Image
The ‘ton was ablaze with gossip this morning when Luke Thompson’s Benedict Bridgerton was announced as the lead for Bridgerton season four.

Netflix revealed the second-eldest Bridgerton sibling would be on the marriage mart for the next installment, following season three’s love story between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).

According to the logline, season four “turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down.” However, when he meets a mysterious Lady in Silver at Violet Bridgerton’s (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball, that all changes — and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Colin couldn’t be prouder.

Julia Quinn’s An Offer from a Gentleman — the third book in her novel series — will serve as the basis for Benedict’s season as he pursues (spoiler alert!) Sophie Beckett. According to the book’s description,...

Netflix is continuing their love of all things dark by releasing the thriller Don’t Move next month. It has been over a year since we got our first look at the movie, so finally getting the trailer is definitely a treat.

Here is the official plot for Don’t Move, which comes to Netflix on October 25th: “A grieving woman hoping to find solace deep in an isolated forest encounters a stranger who injects her with a paralytic agent. As the agent gradually takes over her body, she must run, hide, and fight for her life before her entire nervous system shuts down.” That’s a pretty terrifying plot right there, especially if you are someone who has a genuine fear of paralysis or even suffers through it.

Don’t Move stars Kelsey Asbille, who has a very minor history with the genre (albeit of a different variety), having appeared in MTV’s Teen Wolf,...
