Logline: Klutzy Dee Dee struggles to walk without tripping in a family filled with uber-athletes. She stumbles onto the high school fencing team filled with misfits, where she discovers friends, a new crush, and herself.

Dee Dee is an all-around average teenager, but in this family, average is below average. Dee Dee searches to find that one thing that defines her. After suffering school-wide humiliation, Dee Dee stumbles upon the girls’ fencing team, a group of misfits playing a sport so underfunded that they’re forced to practice in the parking lot. Dee Dee’s found her passion.

Casting is complete for Steppenwolf Theatre Companys upcoming production of Harold Pinters The Birthday Party, under the direction of ensemble member Austin Pendleton. Ensemble member Kevin Anderson joins the previously announced cast ensemble members Ian Barford, Francis Guinan, Moira Harris and John Mahoney with Sophia Sinise. The Birthday Party begins performances January 24, 2013 in Steppenwolfs Upstairs Theatre 1650 N Halsted St. Opening night is February 3, 2013 press performances are February 2 at 3pm and February 5 at 730pm. Tickets 20 78 go on sale at a later date.

Following 30 Rock's upcoming final season, Alec Baldwin will move to a Broadway run of Lyle Kessler's Orphans. Since its debut in 1983, the show has featured Joe Pantoliano, Albert Finney, John Mahoney, and Al Pacino. Baldwin will play Harold, a mob member kidnapped by a pair of orphan brothers to whom he becomes a father figure. Takeaway: Alec Baldwin live and in person!
