As anime fans, we’re all basking in Hayao Miyazaki’s glory and wonders. His works have shaped the Japanese industry as a whole. There aren’t many artists and visionaries whose films instill a sense of longing and awe the way his works do.
From Spirited Away to Princess Mononoke, Miyazaki has created timeless masterpieces that remain etched into fans’ memories. Some even went so far as to win accolades, including Oscars. Yet, there is a movie so remarkable that it remains shrouded as an underrated gem.
Interestingly, this movie was treated as contraband after its release outside Japan. This is a one-of-a-kind movie that isn’t produced by Studio Ghibli, which makes it even better. But what’s more, it’s one of the showpieces, often slept on, and here’s why.

The anime industry is no stranger to long production cycles, but when those delays fall on super hyped-up sequels, it really gets fans riled up. That’s precisely what’s going on with One Punch Man Season 3. After over six years of waiting, this fantastic action-comedy show is finally returning, but the hype over its first trailer has been rather hit or miss.

And, to make matters worse, Dandadan Season 2 recently received a July 2025 release date, which just makes it all the more difficult for One Punch Man fans who have had to endure a bumpy production ride for their favorite show.

Ash Ketchum of Pokémonis known for his interesting team building. From using unevolved Pokémon, horrible type matchups, and interesting move compositions when battling, the trainer gets hated on by fans often for his battling skills. However, Ash could boost his trainer credit with some actual team compositions.
It's not the Pokémon's fault but the trainer's fault. Ash could have really made a big difference if he had looked at his teams, seen their weaknesses, and built a team that was better suited for the final league. Ash could have won his individual region leagues with these Pokémon teams rather than losing at pivotal times.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead for One-Punch Man Chapter #129!
One-Punch Man Season 3 is just around the corner, coming up sometime in 2025, but the anime continues to build expectations and fuel hype with little sneak peeks at the characters’ designs. Recently, One-Punch Man Season 3 revealed two promotional images of beloved S-Rank heroes. But one of these visuals proved that Opm's production team is making some changes with a redesign that surprised fans, with many stating that it was for the adaptation to be more politically correct.
Ever since the release of the first trailer of One-Punch Man season 3, the series’ official X account has been releasing monthly visuals of heroes that will have a relevant participation in the Monster Association Arc, and so far 10 characters have received these visuals. This time it was the turn of Flashy Flash and Superalloy Blackluster, with the latter receiving a noticeable change in his facial features.

Two-time Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley made quite the comeback on Netflix this December with the release of her new spy drama series Black Doves. The series, which takes place during Christmastime, has a pulse-pounding premise that will have you perched on the edge of your seat from start to finish. And good news: There's going to be a second season!
Prior to starring in Black Doves, Knightley last starred in the Hulu movie Boston Strangler in 2023 and the AMC+ movie Silent Night in 2021. With the reveal of Ghost of Yotei being one of the biggest highlights of September 2024s State of Play, discussion is rife over what has been revealed so far. Although it is clear that the game is connected to the hit Ghost of Tsushima, it can seem less clear whether this new game is a true sequel or more of a spin-off title. However, although details are currently light, there is enough context to indicate just how strongly Ghost of Yotei is tied to Ghost of Tsushima.
Originally released in 2020, Ghost of Tsushima attracted great praise for its combat and story. A later Directors Cut version of Ghost of Tsushima nevertheless offered many improvements over the original, with one of the largest additions being a story set on the new setting of Iki Island. One-Punch Man has continued the conspicuous absence of its most beloved hero. Still, a recent glimpse at Yusuke Murata's new rendition of the Neo Heroes Saga teases a major Saitama moment. As the Ninjas Arc takes a mild break and the Hero Association's popular new rival takes center stage, fans might wonder what Caped Baldy is up to, or what he could soon be fighting. But eagle-eyed fans were quick to note the newly-released One-Punch Man manga chapter's cover page teases a moment that could be Saitama's first proper fight with God.
God is an enigmatic presence in One-Punch Man, with powers to corrupt, empower, or communicate with individuals to bend them to his will. His influence was enough to reshape Garou into a strong enough fighter to the point where he faced Saitama to get serious in their climactic battle. Still, he's never fought Saitama directly, merely alluded to.

Zack Snyder’s films have been a point of discussion for fans whenever they come out. While his modern films have become divisive, everyone agrees that he is a great visual filmmaker who has his own distinct style and flair. His contributions to the DC universe have been highly celebrated by loyal fans.
Zack Snyder recently directed Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver | Netflix
Snyder is also an avid lover of comic books and writers who have created some of the best comic runs ever. Dimension Slash weaponizes the multiverse in One-Punch Man. Empty Void wields the most powerful attack in the series. Blast is the best counter to Empty Void's multiverse attack.

Empty Void disguises himself as the hero Flash to tempt Sonic in One-Punch Man, posing a dangerous threat. Void's powers of disguise and warping speed, combined with God's abilities, make him a formidable opponent. Saitama's extended absence could lead to a crisis as other heroes may be corrupted by Void's powers in One-Punch Man.
Many of the villains of One-Punch Man have fixated largely on feats of strength as they try to overpower Earth's Hero Association defenders, with its latest villain, Empty Void, benefiting from an especially insidious gift. The Ninjas Arc rages on as Flash and Sonic take center stage, diving into their past, when, in the latest rewritten chapter, they encounter their old village's founder, Void. Void reveals his latest God-given abilities in this chapter of One-Punch Man, which seemingly now includes the power to take on another's appearance, disguising himself as Flash to tempt Sonic with God's cube.

Lord Boros had a meteoric burst that almost beat Saitama, but he ultimately fell to One-Punch Man. Tatsumaki is the strongest esper but couldn't defeat Saitama or Lord Boros, who posed a bigger threat to the universe. Blast, the strongest S-Class hero, remains a mystery in the series and is a central defense against a powerful God.
One-Punch Man is full of action and amazing fights, and this is due to the massive power level of the characters. The series is filled with jaw-droppingly powerful characters, both among the Hero and Monsters Association, with a hierarchy of power stretching to infinity, and even if there is no doubt that Saitama has become terrifyingly powerful and stands above the other characters, it's still worth taking a closer look at the world of One-Punch Man to break down whom the strongest characters are.

Zack Snyder's favorite superhero is somewhat controversial and does not fit the traditional superhero mold. Snyder admires Marvel heroes, too, naming The Hulk and Iron Man as his favorites outside the DC realm, showing his appreciation for both comic book universes. Despite his controversial films, Snyder's comfort in the superhero cinema space is rooted in his career adapting comic properties.
Love his work or hate it (there doesn't seem to be a middle ground), Zack Snyder is comfortable in the superhero cinema space. And that's logical, considering he's made a career out of adapting comic properties. First, there was 300, then the underrated Watchmen (of which even Christopher Nolan calls himself a fan), then Dceu projects Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Heck, even his other projects can feel like slow-motion-loving adaptations of graphic novels. This includes the likes of Sucker Punch...

Saitama's unmatched strength surpasses logic and common sense, making the Goku vs. Saitama debate nearly pointless. Saitama's vast powers extend to durability, speed, and unique abilities, putting him above countless anime heroes. Goku's alien warrior background and Super Saiyan abilities make him tough, but Saitama's potential for growth is unmatched.
Two names always come up when fans discuss the most powerful anime characters: Son Goku from the classic shonen series Dragon Ball and Saitama from the highly popular One-Punch Man. Both leads are known for their immense strength and defeating some of the strongest villains alive in their respective universes. Anime fans have always been known for their passionate loyalty, and both sides are adamant their hero would win in a battle between Goku and Saitama.
That being said, Dragon Ball fans tend to ignore the fact that Saitama is overpowered beyond logic or common sense. More importantly,...

Hand Punch, the artist behind the webcomic adaptation, expressed his enthusiasm on the project, stating, “We are honored to be entrusted with the comic adaptation of such a prestigious work, but at the same time, we feel significant responsibility and pressure. Elden Ring is not just a game; it is art itself. While we have poured passion into the creation process without reservation, we faced numerous challenges along the way. However, just as this game has taught us, we believe that light...

Lizzo and Sza shared a big hug on stage at the 2024 Grammys held at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night (February 4) in Los Angeles.
The 35-year-old “Truth Hurts” singer presented the 34-year-old “Kill Bill” singer with the award for Best R&b song for “Snooze.”
Sza was late on stage to accept her award as she was backstage changing after she performed not long before.
Check out her speech inside…
“Sorry I’m out of breath because I was changing then I took a shot and I ran here,” Sza said in her speech. “But Lizzo and I have been friends since 2013 when we were both on a tiny Red Bull tour together opening up in small rooms for like 100 people. And to be on the stage with her is so amazing, I’m so grateful.”

There are 19 different types of horses in Red Dead Redemption 2, each with different stats and traits. Draft horses like the Belgian and Suffolk Punch are great for heavy labor, while racehorses like the Nokota and Thoroughbred excel in speed and agility. Finding the best horse in the game depends on personal preference and intended use, but there are a few horses that are better than the rest in almost every aspect.
One of the best parts about Red Dead Redemption 2 is the complete freedom to explore the map on horseback, but what's even better is the sheer number of horses that Arthur can choose to accompany him on his journey. In addition to visual and aesthetic differences, each horse has its own specific set of strengths, weaknesses, and mannerisms affecting how it interacts with the Western RPG's protagonist. Indeed, personal preference may play a role in each player's choice of steed - but ultimately,...

Saitama's power may be explained by the concept of a "limiter break" The limiter break theory is supported by multiple characters and story developments in the manga Saitama's strength may be a result of breaking the limits imposed by God
The premise of One Punch-Man is that its protagonist Saitama is stronger than anyone, and the mysterious source of his power may have been already explained: the limiter break. Because the manga started as a parody of the shonen genre, the reason why Saitama is so powerful has never been explained. However, one explanation proposed in the story makes perfect sense in the context of the most recent developments in the manga.
At the beginning of One Punch-Man, Saitama was an unemployed young man with a nihilistic attitude. He did not have a purpose in life and believed he would never find one. After a chance encounter with a monster,...

Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski approves of Zack Snyder potentially directing the movie adaptation, citing Snyder's talent in working with existing IP. Snyder's success with adaptations like Dawn of the Dead and 300 makes Bleszinski believe he would be a great fit for the project. Army of the Dead's impact on Snyder's relationship with Netflix and Dave Bautista's endorsement may have played a role in him being considered for the Gears of War movie.
Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski has given his blessing for Zack Snyder to potentially helm the movie adaptation of his hit video game franchise. After multiple attempts at bringing the video game property to life, Netflix became the latest to try their hand at the project, announcing both a new movie and an adult animated series in November 2022. Garou's return as a humble scrubber is the perfect humbling experience he needs to ensure he never goes astray again. It's funny to see the former big villain reduced to menial tasks and part-time jobs, but it's necessary for Garou's character development. As Garou works to better himself and atone, it remains a mystery what role he will play in the future of One-Punch Man.
Warning: Spoilers for One-Punch Man #191 (Jp)One-Punch Man's greatest villain, who just a few chapters ago was at the level of destroying planets, has now been reduced to scrubbing floors in atonement--and it's the best thing that could've happened to him.
Garou made his return appearance in chapter 191, rather unexpectedly, since he only appears on a few pages at the very end. Garou is shown to be working at Bang's dojo, along with his other remaining apprentices, Charanko (who Saitama impersonated...

Warning: Spoilers for One-Punch Man Chapter #186 (Jp)The world is changing in One-Punch Man with the rise of a new hero group, the Neo Heroes, meaning that every existing hero, including Saitama, will have to decide who to side with. As it turns out, Saitama has already made his decision, and he did it in the most Saitama-like way possible.
In recent chapters of One-Punch Man, Genos has been agonizing over leaving the Hero Association, and in chapter 186, he finally voices these thoughts to Saitama. Saitama initially wishes Genos well when he expresses interest in switching to the Neo Heroes, but Genos asks if Saitama would be interested in switching with him. To Saitama, that sounds like a lot of work for very little benefit, so he immediately passes on the idea, causing Genos to give up on it as well. Saitama has decided to stay with the Hero Association,...

The following contains spoilers for One-Punch Man Chapter 183, "Updates," by One, Yusuke Murata, John Werry, and James Gaubatz, available in English through Viz Media.
With how focused the latest chapters of One-Punch Man have been on Terrible Tornado and Saitama, Chapter 183 provided a much-needed return to One-Punch Man's large ensemble cast, many of which haven't been seen since the Monster Association Arc. One of the heroes who receives a little additional focus is S-Class Rank 16, Tanktop Master, the Tanktop Hero.
One-Punch Man's S-Class is notoriously filled with heroes who, while powerful, also have overly inflated egos and look down on the weak. Tanktop Master's actions in this latest chapter, as well as through most of his appearances in One-Punch Man, show why Tanktop Master has one of the purest hearts of any S-Class hero in the series and is one of the most likable of One-Punch Man's minor cast.

Natasha Henstridge of the first two Species movies and John Carpenter’s Ghosts of Mars, among other credits, has signed on to star in Cinderella’s Revenge, which gives the classic fairy tale a horror twist. Filming is already underway in the UK, with Andy Edwards (Zombie Spring Breakers) directing for Sobini Films.
Starring Lauren Staerck (Curse of Jack Frost) as Cinderella, this take on the fairy tale will show us what happens when Cinderella’s wicked stepsisters and stepmother push her too far, leading her to swap her glass slippers in pursuit of blood-soaked vengeance with the help of her Fairy Godmother.
My immediate assumption was that Henstridge would be playing the wicked stepmother, but she’s actually taking on the role of the Fairy Godmother.
Henstridge and Staerck are joined in the cast of Cinderella’s Revenge by Stephanie Lodge (Jack & Jill: The Hills of Hell), Beatrice Fletcher...

The following contains spoilers for One-Punch Man through Chapter 182, "Scout," by One, Yusuke Murata, John Werry and James Gaubatz, available in English through Viz Media.
One-Punch Man is a manga that typically keeps its humor situational and tightly related to its world and characters. This is why it's such a surprise that manga author One dedicates a large portion of its latest chapter to humor relating to one of the hottest topics in the world: artificial intelligence.
The fact that a reference to A.I has even made its way to a manga like One-Punch Man shows the impact that the rise of the likes of Chat-gpt and deepfakes has on popular culture. However, despite the rare usage of topical humor, One still ties One-Punch Man's A.I conversation to its world and characters, even making the topic the essential root of many of this chapter's jokes and character moments.

The sports drama genre is getting a heartfelt twist in Punch. The film, hailing from debuting writer-director Welby Ings, revolves around an up-and-coming teenage boxer who struggles to balance living under his alcoholic father and learning more of his own sexuality with the help of a male classmate, who also is looking to break free from their small New Zealand town.
Jordan Oosterhof leads the cast of Punch alongside Tim Roth, Conan Hayes, Abigail Laurent, Connor Johnston, Sage Klein, and Wilson Downes. Quickly deviating from its sports genre base towards a more emotional coming-of-age tale of legacy and embracing one's own self, the film is a powerfully acted and honestly told affair.

Filming has begun on Tom Waller’s true-crime thriller, “Kiss of the Con Queen,” with real-life victim Eoin O’Brien (“The Last Full Measure”) taking the lead role. He plays actor duped by an impersonator to travel to Indonesia on the promise of auditions for a leading role in a DC origins series, only to discover that he had been scammed by the infamous Con Queen of Hollywood.
In the real world, the alleged perpetrator, 41-year-old Indonesian food blogger Hargobind Tahilramani, is accused of pretending to be both male and female Hollywood executives and having swindled hundreds of victims of millions of dollars. He was arrested in 2020 after an FBI manhunt and is currently in prison in the U.K. where he is fighting against possible extradition to the U.S. The U.K. court hearings have been dramatic and disturbing.
A chunk of the filming on Waller’s film has already...
