Rita has received several awards for her work on television the "Outstanding Achievement in Entertainment" Award by the La Prensa Newspaper (07). The other for her philanthropic work, the prestigious "Call to Service" Award given by the President of the United States for Lifetime Achievement in Volunteerism (2011).
