Claire Fowler is a writer-director from North
Wales who attended the Sundance Screenwriters & Directors Labs in 2024. After studying at Oxford University and the Royal College of Art
she made a number of human rights-themed documentary films that
screened at festivals internationally - including the International
Film Festival Rotterdam, the International Human Rights Watch Film
Festival and Sheffield Docfest. She attended Columbia University's M.F.A. program in film on a Fulbright scholarship and, later, the American Film Institute's Directing Workshop for Women. Her most recent short, Salam, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2018 and won a BAFTA Cymru award in 2020.
