Will Forte has looked back at his Saturday Night Live spinoff MacGruber bombing at the box office. The 2010 comedy infamously debuted to harsh reviews and subsequently underperformed at financially as well.

MacGruber was based on Forte's recurring SNL sketches in which he played a MacGyver-like hero whose attempts to diffuse dangerous situations almost always failed miserably. Despite the movie being packed with SNL stars – including Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph – the project's failure was seen as a black mark on Forte's potential as a movie star.

Forte candidly reflected on MacGruber's failure during a recent interview with Ted Danson on the Where Everybody Knows Your Name podcast (via Entertainment Weekly). He admitted that the project bombing was particularly hurtful since it came out only a week after SNL's triumphant season finale.

In the arrest report, Stoudemire’s unidentified daughter, a minor, claimed that he accused her of “giving attitude” to her grandmother and then proceeded to punch her in the jaw, slap her in the face and slap her several times on her body. There are also quotes from Stoudemire’s ex-wife, the girl’s mother and Stoudemire himself in the report.

We have plenty of movie coverage here at HitFix — including Drew's rave review of this film from SXSW — but as happens when I see a film relatively early in its run, and particularly one like "Trainwreck" with a fair amount of crossover with what I cover in TV, I like to offer up a few of my thoughts, as well as a place for people who have seen the film to start discussing it. Again, this review is designed for people who've already seen "Trainwreck," and thus will have plenty of spoilers, coming up just as soon as we split the check... Amy Schumer is on an incredible roll right now. She just finished perhaps the strongest season to date of "Inside Amy Schumer" — and the "12 Angry Men" spoof is an early contender for 2015's best episode of television — and "Trainwreck" is a terrific movie introduction for her as both actress and writer.

Directed by Judd Apatow, the new comedy "Trainwreck" will premiere at SXSW next month for a "work in progress" screening, eight years after he screened a work in progress version of "Knocked Up" at the same festival. The film was written by Amy Schumer, who also stars alongside Bill Hader. While plot details are being kept firmly under wraps, the film reportedly follows a woman with an aversion to monogamy trying to rebuild her messy life with a serious boyfriend, while simultaneously trying to balance her career and relationships with her father, sister and best friend.
