Andrew Rush is an ex-pro baseball player and American actor and model. He's best known for starring in the OWN television show Ambitions and films like Alex and Me, Tyler Perry's Boo! A Madea Halloween, and 42. Some of his additional credits include CBS NCIS: New Orleans, Drop Dead Diva, Dynasty, Valor, Mixology, Scorpion, The Game and Days of Our Lives.
Andrew is half Costa-Rican and was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised outside Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia State University with two bachelor's degrees in computer science and marketing, and was an athlete throughout high school, college and beyond, playing several sports including football (quarterback), and college and professional baseball (pitcher).
Several years after graduating, he began modeling which earned him a few acting roles in commercials. In 2012 he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his greatest passion of making a career as a full-time actor and took various acting classes in Atlanta and studied with several actor studios in Los Angeles. He's enjoyed success with an abundance of national commercials throughout the years, and has since expanded his strong commercial career into acting within numerous popular television shows and feature films.
When Andrew is not filming, he remains very active with many hobbies including astronomy, traveling, visiting and hiking national parks, fishing, learning about astrophysics, playing sports in addition to many other outdoor activities.
