It's been six years since their life-altering drama "Slumdog Millionaire" hit theaters, and now the six children from the film open up about their new lives in the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter.

The publication caught up with Tanay Chheda, Ashutosh Gajiwala, Azharuddin Ismail, Rubina Ali, Tanvi Lonkar, and Ayush Khedekar to discuss life since "Slumdog" and even shared their future plans.

"['Slumdog Millionaire' was] more than a dream," 17-year-old Tanay explained. "It was [a] fantasy come true."

While the search for the now famous children received its own backlash, the film's director Danny Boyle admitted there were other issues that the production experience. "Some of the kids don't know their birth dates, so getting them a passport was a nightmare."

He continued, "We were aware we would have to make provisions for the children."

Many of our writers along with their Bollywood love, also proudly proclaim their love for the Harry Potter series. Most of us have read all of the books several times over and have seen all the films. We wish that we lived in the magical world of Harry Potter and in fact, most of us have said one time or a thousand, ‘I would love to go to Hogwarts’! New Delhi, Jan 4 – Child actor Tanay Chheda, known for his performances in films like ‘My Name Is Khan’, ‘Taare Zameen Par’ and ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, has been chosen to recieve the best entertainer award at the seventh edition of the Pogo Amazing Kids Awards (Paka).

The 14-year-old is one among seven children across seven different categories to be awarded at Paka, which attempts to reward child prodigies in.

Tanay Chheda has agreed to play a young version of Shahrukh Khan's character in Karan Johar's My Name is Khan before taking a break from acting. It was undoubtedly a night of triumph for Slumdog Millionaire at the Oscars. And it was a particularly exciting night for the kids in the movie who literally stole the show but have so far come away with surprisingly little monetary reward for their work. They held up pretty well in their little tuxedos and evening gowns for a very awkward red carpet interview with E!'s Ryan Seacrest, who evaded the issue of actually pronouncing their names by flashing a cast list in front of the camera and urging them to shout their names all at once, not realizing that some of them didn't understand him because they didn't speak English. Yikes.

There was absolute chaos (but a very 'cultured' one this) at the Mumbai International Airport yesterday as it saw the the supercool child actors of Slumdog Millionaire boarding their flight to attend the Academy Awards to be held in Los Angeles on Sunday. These young brats included the likes of Ayush Khedekar, Tanay Chheda, Madhur Mittal, Tanvi Lonkar and gang. This was one trip which was just heaven-sent to these kids, which was echoed in the feelings of their proud parents. Amidst all this excitement was a super-proud -but-slightly- tensed mother of one of the kids. And she had every reason to be so, for her son, after attending the prestigious Oscar ceremony that takes place on Sunday, has to rush back to Mumbai, to appear for his S.S.C. board examinations. Way to go, kids. We sincerely pray that the film wins the Oscar trophy.

The SAG Awards sparkled. Women in beautiful dresses, perfectly accessorized; men crisply attired in suits or tuxes; and flash cameras and video everywhere—it was quite a scene. There was drama …

Boldface names made their way down the red carpet: the bolder the name, the faster they moved. Oops, there went Brad Pitt (Benjamin Button). Too late. But Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) did pause for a moment:

He picked up an award later that evening for male actor in a comedy series. Meanwhile, the unofficial award for cutest kids went to the ones playing adman Don Draper’s children in Mad Men. Kiernan Shipka looks sweet …

… but advised me that if she won an award (she did, as part of an ensemble), it would go next to her Tae Kwon Do trophies. Easy there tiger! Meanwhile, her cast-mate and fellow winner Aaron Hart is a handsome little fellow …
