General Hospital fans were blindsided by the news in August that Kelly Monaco was let go from the soap opera after 21 years of playing Sam McCall. The actress was also reportedly shocked by the decision.

It came clear earlier this week that Sam McCall’s death was on the horizon. The character died on the Wednesday, October 30, episode, but that wasn’t the last time fans would see Kelly Monaco. She appeared as Sam’s corpse for a few emotional goodbye scenes.

Recently, CBS released the new,official synopsis/spoilers for their upcoming "Person Of Interest" episode 3 of season 4.
