‘Outer Banks’ Season 3 Teaser Shows John B and Crew on the Island of Poguelandia as Treasure Hunt Continues

John B (Chase Stokes) and the “Outer Banks” crew are back in Netflix’s first teaser for the series’ third season, and it seems they’ve finally found some peace on an island they call Poguelandia. The sky is so blue that it’s almost turquoise, the sand is soft and it looks like the gang has set up their own little sun-soaked world far away from Ward (Charles Esten), Rafe (Drew Starkey) and the Sheriff’s Department.

But, of course, nothing is as it seems. Soon, the trailer heats up, showing Sarah (Madelyn Cline), Kie (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss) and JJ (Rudy Pankow) running away from wild dogs and participating in car chases as they continue to search for treasure. Bella Heathcote & Asif Ali Set For Survival Drama ‘Roof’ From Director Salvatore Sciortino

Exclusive: Bella Heathcote (Pieces of Her) and Asif Ali (Don’t Worry Darling) will lead the survival drama Roof, marking the directorial debut of Salvatore Sciortino, which has wrapped production in Los Angeles.

The films tells the story of two co-workers who accidentally get locked on the roof of a skyscraper during the hottest holiday weekend in years. Lacking any water and unable to communicate with the outside world, they attempt increasingly dangerous ways to escape as their health rapidly deteriorates in the heat. At the same time, an unexpected friendship blooms as they mutually realize just how badly they have wrecked their lives.

Josh Tate wrote the script and is producing alongside recent Sundance Producing Lab Fellow, Austin Sepulveda. The film was supported by a grant from Curt Willis and the Visit Knoxville Film Office, with part of the shoot having taken place in Knoxville.

Bad Robot Hires Physical Production Vets Chrysta Burton & Diane Coote

Bad Robot has expanded its film and television production team and has appointed Chrysta Burton as EVP of Physical Production and Diane Coote as its VP, of Physical Production. They join current Bad Robot executive Josh Tate who serves as VP of Physical Production.

The trio will now handle all film and television productions for the label, with Burton overseeing projects from development through post-production. All three report to Cory Bennett Lewis, Head of Bad Robot Physical Production.

Bennett Lewis said, “I am excited to have had the opportunity to build a team of minds that are innovative in our approach to production. This is a group that has an abundance of experiences across all aspects of filmmaking that will grant further support around our creative teams and the stories they push to tell every day.”

UK Broadcaster Channel 4 Turns Up The Grime With Doc Series & ‘The Big Narstie Show’ Spin-Off – Edinburgh
British broadcaster Channel 4 is doubling down on grime with a three-part documentary series set in Blackpool, handing The Big Narstie Show a second season and giving Narstie’s co-host Mo Gilligan his own series.

The network revealed its latest slate of youth-skewing shows at the Edinburgh International TV Festival.

It’s Grime Up North (w/t), which is produced by BBC Studios, follows the lives of a group of young MCs on the Blackpool grime scene. It will follow artists such as Little T (aka Josh Tate), Sophie Aspin and Millie B as well as a group of others striving for a break. The doc series was ordered by Channel 4’s Formats Commissioning Editor Lee McMurray and departing Head of Formats Dom Bird. The series is produced by BBC Studios’ Auntie Productions, whose Creative Directors are Sam Bickley and Samantha Anstiss. The executive producer is Kat Lennox and series producer is Danny Fildes.
