Weapons director Zach Cregger says his Resident Evil film will be inspired by Sam Raimi
Weapons director Zach Cregger says his Resident Evil film will be inspired by Sam Raimi's Evil Dead II.The 44-year-old filmmaker has established himself in the horror genre thanks to his new critically acclaimed movie Weapons, which sees Julia Garner and Josh Brolin's characters investigating the disappearance of a class full of children, and 2022's Barbarian.Cregger's next project is a new Resident Evil movie - which will be the eighth live action film based on Capcom's survival horror video game series - and he wants it to be a zombie attack romp, using Raimi's 1987 cult classic sequel as a reference point.Speaking to Ringer, he said: "It’s gonna be not at all like Barbarian and Weapons. It’s going to be a rock ’em, sock ’em … it’s for me to play. And turn my brain off and just make an … Evil Dead 2 ... get crazy with the camera.

All 13 Movies Based On Disneyland Attractions, Ranked
Image
On July 17, 1955, Walt Disney invited guests to "leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy" as he welcomed them to Disneyland for the first time. 70 years later, droves of ecstatic Disney fans are still making their way to the magical theme park in Anaheim, California that has served as a source of joy and inspiration for generations around the globe.

As inspiring as the Disneyland Resort has been for fans, the Imagineers tasked with expanding and evolving the parks find inspiration from the films of The Walt Disney Company and beyond. However, that pipeline has started to move both ways in more recent years as filmmakers have started to create movies based on attractions that previously had no roots to a previously established intellectual property from the silver screen.

To honor the theme park's 70th anniversary, we're picking out our favorite Mickey and Minnie ears, pulling on our spirit jerseys,...

Josh Gad & Kaya Scodelario in Dark Comedy 'Adulthood' Official Trailer
Image
"We found three bodies and you're connected to all of them." Paramount has unveiled an official trailer for a dark comedy movie called Adulthood, from director Alex Winter - his first fictional narrative feature in a long time. He has been making documentaries the last decade, but is finally back with an awkward comedy about murder and family. When siblings Megan and Noah uncover a long-buried corpse in their parents' basement, they stumble into a wildly escalating spiral of crime, cover-ups, and murder. The deeper they dig, the harder it becomes to escape. Starring Josh Gad, Kaya Scodelario, Billie Lourd, Alex Winter, and Anthony Carrigan. The film is premiering at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival next month before debuting in theaters + on VOD later in September this fall. At first glance, it reminds me of the hilarious Sightseers, but it seems this film has some other tricks up its sleeves. The...

The Best Skins Replacement With 93% Rt Sees Streaming Resurgence 3 Months After Premiere
Image
A great successor for Skins UK has found a second wave of popularity on Prime Video almost three months after it first premiered. Skins is nearly 20 years old, and yet its legacy continues to influence the television landscape today. Very few shows have had the same kind of generational impact.

Debuting on E4 in the UK in 2007, Skins was a fearless and confrontational exploration of teenage lives, covering difficult and controversial topics like substance abuse, mental health, sex, and adolescent relationships in an increasingly judgmental digital age. It produced some of Britain's most talented performers, including Dev Patel, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Kaluuya, Jack O'Connell, and more.

In 2011, MTV commissioned a US remake of Skins, though it was canceled after one season following an avalanche of criticism for the show's portrayal of teenagers' lives. The Parents Television Council rallied against the series and advertisers pulled their campaigns. Now, however, more than a decade later,...

Netflix reveals The Gentlemen season 2 release window
Image
It sounds like fans are going to be waiting even longer than originally expected for The Gentlemen season 2. Netflix just shared a major update about the latest season of The Gentlemen from creator Guy Ritchie.

During Netflix's Q2 earnings call, it was revealed that The Gentlemen season 2 is coming to Netflix sometime in 2026. Ted Sarandos rattled off a list of shows coming back in 2026, including Avatar: The Last Airbender, 3 Body Problem, Outer Banks, One Piece, and many more.

We didn't hear exactly when the series will premiere, but it's probably not going to be one of the first shows released next year.

Theo James is returning for The Gentlemen season 2, which just started filming in the spring of 2025. Netflix officially confirmed production started on May 28, but it's likely that production started even earlier.

We're expecting production on The Gentlemen season 2 to last throughout the summer and potentially even into the fall.

That movie had a post-credits scene that teased a possible comeback for the original trio, Will, Elizabeth, and Captain Jack Sparrow, against Davy Jones, played by Bill Nighy. But since then, things have gone quiet.

Talking on the UK show This Morning, Bloom said there’s been some movement behind the scenes, but no real updates yet. “There’s been all kinds of things,” he said. “Who knows? There’s been talk [of a sixth movie]. I can’t say anything at the moment, because I really don’t know.” He also said, “I think they’re trying to work out what it would all look like.

Keanu Reeves is a literal angel in the Good Fortune teaser

He finds Arj, played by Ansari, who is a lost soul, peeing in bottles while working for a thinly veiled Amazon-like company. The film, which also stars Seth Rogen, Sandra Oh, and Keke Palmer, hits theaters on Oct. 17.

Guy Ritchie's 'The Gentlemen' Has Re-Opened for Business With Season 2 Update
Image
Eddie and Susie are officially back in business. Netflix confirmed today that production is underway on Season 2 of Guy Ritchie's hit action comedy series The Gentlemen, just over a year after Theo James's heir inherited his family's estate and, as a result, was roped into its massive drug empire. The exciting update brings with it some big revelations about what's next now that Eddie and Kaya Scodelario's Susie are more invested than ever in the "high" life with Bobby (Ray Winstone). It promises to be a wild ride with higher stakes than ever as their ambitions for expanding the business run wild.

Season 1 of The Gentlemen follows Eddie as he navigates the weed business operating just under his 15,000-acre estate, thrusting him into the colorful world of the British aristocracy full of proprietors who aren't keen on waiting for him to learn the ropes. By the end of the run,...

The Gentlemen season 2 | Hugh Bonneville and others join cast as filming begins
Image
Netflix is moving ahead with The Gentlemen season 2 and Hugh Bonneville among others has joined its cast. More details below!

It didn’t take long for Netflix to renew The Gentlemen, Guy Ritchie’s loose spin-off of his own film of the same name, for season 2 but there hasn’t been any news to share about the new season since.

Thankfully, Netflix has now announced that The Gentlemen season 2 is in production and new castmembers are joining the fun.

Hugh Bonneville, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, Michele Morrone, Sergio Castellito, Amra Mallassi, Tyler Conti and Maya Jama are all getting tangled up in the criminal activities of the Glass family. Considering how many people died in the first season, we doubt many of these new characters make it very far.

Theo James, Kaya Scodelario and Daniel Ings are all returning to their roles as are Ray Winstone, Giancarlo Esposito, Joely Richardson and Vinnie Jones.

And … action! The Gentlemen Season 2 has officially begun filming. Season 1 of The Gentlemen concerns Eddie (Theo James), who becomes the new Duke of Halstead following his father’s death. In addition to the new title, Eddie also inherits the family’s sizable country estate — and the illegal weed farm located underneath it, run by the sophisticated yet ruthless Susie (Kaya Scodelario) and her crime boss father Bobby Glass (Ray Winstone). Although hesitant to join the criminal lifestyle at first, Eddie develops a taste for it and finds an unexpected ally in Susie as they face down the UK and Europe’s most notorious (and hilarious) gangster families. Alex Winter and Tom Stern's Cult Classic Creature Feature 'Freaked' Re-Emerges With 4K Restoration From Drafthouse Films [Exclusive]
Image
Just four years after he and Keanu Reevesbecame '80s icons with Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Alex Winterteamed up with frequent collaborator Tom Stern to write and direct a '90s cult classic — Freaked. Winter worked both in front of and behind the camera as co-director for the project, creating a darkly-comedic creature feature packed with gnarly and imaginative practical effects, gross-out humor aplenty, and a colorful aesthetic that stands out from its contemporaries. The bizarre B-movie mash-up evoking everything from Pee-wee's Playhouse to H.P. Lovecraft landed with a critical thud in 1993, but time has earned it new life with cinephiles, as evident by its 66% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Now, Collider is excited to share that the film is finally getting the 4K restoration it needed courtesy of Drafthouse Films.

Freaked is coming home this fall with a release on digital platforms as well as a special edition...
