An unfortunate update has been revealed for the future of Ms. Marvel on Disney+. Though the first season was very well-received, boasting a near-perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, it doesn't look like the show will ultimately be getting its second season.
Per Screen Rant, the future of Mr. Marvel was addressed by Red Dagger actor Aramis Knight in a new interview to promote the film Karate Kid: Legends. When asked if fans have seen the last of Red Dagger, Knight responded with, "I wish not, but I think so." The actor clarified that he's "not really sure" if Ms. Marvel will get a second season, but Knight is feeling that it's very unlikely, given how much time has already passed since Season 1.
When asked if there would be no Ms. Marvel Season 2, Knight said, "I don't think so. I mean it's been a long time now, so I am not really sure.

“Mo” has revealed a new set of guest stars along with its Season 2 trailer.
Comedians Hannibal Burress, Matt Rife, Liza Koshy and Ralph Barbosa plus rapper Slim Thug are all a part of the Season 2 guest cast, joining previously announced guest stars Simon Rex and Johanna Braddy.
The trailer opens with Mo (series co-creator Mo Amer) complaining to Barbosa, seemingly a street food vendor, about having been stuck in Mexico for six months — following up on the Season 1 finale, in which Mo is mistakenly transported there from Houston with no passport due to his status as an undocumented Palestinian refugee. “Mo, why you wanna go back to America so bad?” Barbosa says. “You’ve been bouncing around that embassy for months, bro.”
Rife is seen playing an official that Mo argues with at the embassy. “Maybe just come to terms with the fact: You’re Mexican now. Feliz cumpleaños,” Rife says snidely,...

Mo Amer’s meta Netflix series “Mo” is back for Season 2, and this time, Amer is joined by more than a few comedy pals.
Hannibal Buress, Liza Koshy, Matt Rife, Ralph Barbosa, and Slim Thug join the eight-episode season of the critically acclaimed show co-created by Amer and Ramy Youssef (who also has his own eponymous semi-autobiographical series).
Amer plays alter-ego Mo Najjar in the show, a character who straddles the line between two cultures, three languages, and “a ton of bullshit as a Palestinian on the path to U.S. citizenship,” according to the logline.
Season 2 finds Mo stranded across the border and desperate to get back to Houston before his family’s asylum hearing; but as a stateless refugee without a passport, Mo “needs all the hustle and charm he can muster,” as the synopsis reads. “Little does he know that the journey home is just the start of his troubles,...

So far, Loki is the only Disney+ Marvel-based series to get a second season, but we're now hearing that a sophomore run for another popular show might be in the cards.
According to Daniel Richtman, a second season of Ms. Marvel is being discussed, but a final decision has not been made.
We have heard that Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) is being position as a major player in the MCU going forward, so a second season of her solo show would make sense. That said, Khan's big-screen debut, The Marvels, massively underperformed, which might well influence Marvel/Disney's decision.
Somewhat controversially for long-time fans of the character, Khan was revealed to be a mutant in the season 1 finale, ret-conning her Inhuman status from the comic books.
This new origin soon carried over to the page (though she also retains her Inhuman-ness), with Khan becoming the latest member of the X-Men,...

Exclusive: Rising comedian Paul Elia has set a Christmas Eve premiere date for his debut special, Detroit Player, the first ever shot at the Detroit House of Comedy, which came together over the course of three October tapings. Directed by Elia’s longtime friend Dan Ringey, with whom he previously collaborated on the indie crime thriller Dirty, the special will be available for a month on Mint Comedy.
Elia came to shoot his special after spending years performing stand-up in many unlikely (and awkward) scenarios, in order to pay his rent. He performed in a Dubai mall (and almost got arrested). Soon after, he performed at a private event for Saudi royalty. With Detroit Player, he explores authenticity, censorship and what it means to “hustle” (while avoiding arrests abroad).
Hailing from The LowKey Company & Avesta Entertainment, the special is produced by Bassem Youssef, Azhar Usman and Danny Mooney.

“Ms. Marvel”, a six-episode series, is the newest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, also known as the MCU. Debuting on Disney+ on June 8th, the series is based on the very popular comic book of the same name. However, this series takes the story into a whole new and exciting frame. I was granted an early look at the first two episodes, and they were so intriguing I can’t wait to see what happens next. But more on that in a minute!
First, let’s set the scene to give you a feel for the show.
Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero megafan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school...

"If you save one life... you save the world." Disney has debuted another new 60-second "Destiny" trailer for a new Marvel Studios series Ms. Marvel, a sort of spin-off from Captain Marvel, similar to the Hawkeye series about a nerdy fan of the Avengers who ends up becoming a superhero herself. Ms. Marvel introduces us to Kamala Khan, played by Iman Vellani, a 16-year-old Muslim Pakistani-American from Jersey City, NJ who writes superhero fan fiction. She discovers she has her own polymorphous (shape-shifting) powers. The series cast also includes Aramis Knight as "Red Dagger", Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Matt Lintz, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, and Azhar Usman. You know, I honestly think this looks pretty dang good. Like Hawkeye, I wasn't expecting to be into it, but I thoroughly enjoyed that series and there were a few outstanding episodes. Muslim-Pakistani teen Kamala Khan hails from New Jersey, is an avid gamer with an overactive imagination, and a fervent scribe of fan-fiction. Oh, and she also happens to have some crazy superpowers of her own once after exposure to a mist turns her into a polymorph and gives her body the ability to stretch in almost any way possible. Welcome Marvel Studios’ first Muslim superhero lead to the screen with “Ms. Marvel,” the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe series, which hits the Disney+ arrival June 8. Watch the trailer below.

Disney+ and Marvel Studios have released the first trailer for “Ms. Marvel,” the next original series set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe – and our first introduction to the MCU’s newest superhero, Kamala Khan.
The new series, which Disney+ revealed will start streaming on June 8, introduces Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a superhero mega fan with an oversized imagination — particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel (Brie Larson). Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home — that is, until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to.
The new series not only introduces Khan but sets up the “Captain Marvel” feature film sequel “The Marvels,” in which Vellani will co-star opposite Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel and Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau from “WandaVision.
