Christopher Karl Johnson

DVD Review: Bloodstorm
Bloodstorm

Stars: Dominique Swain, Jake Busey, Josh Allen, Christopher Karl Johnson, James Maxwell Young, Lilan Bowden, Adam Burch | Written by Paul Bales | Directed by Joseph J. Lawson

Released in the Us under the more exploitative (and actually more apt) moniker of Nazis at the Centre of the Earth, Bloodstorm is yet another production form The Asylum, only this time it seems that they’ve managed to get some major (well I say major, may at one time) talent in the form of Dominique Swain and Jake Busey.

Like many an Asylum flick Bloodstorm has a lot in common with a film already freely available, this time its the Norwegian zombie Nazi flick Dead Snow that seems to be the inspiration for this Antarctic zombie Nazi flick! The timing couldn’t be better either – we’ve just had Nazis invading from space and now we have Nazis invading from the very core of the planet.

Nazis at the Center of the Earth and Laughing in Disbelief: A Movie Review
*here be major spoilers. Honestly, see this film before reading this review. A lot of great surprises are ruined below.

Director: Joseph J. Lawson.

Writers: Paul Bales.

Cast: Dominique Swain, Jake Busey, Christopher Karl Johnson, and Lilan Bowden.

The Asylum is launching their latest film in Nazis at the Center of the Earth on DVD April 24th. This film production comapany loves to knock-off large blockbusters such as Transformers, The Terminator and disaster films in general. Their latest copy is the film found here. Writer Paul Bales and director Joseph J. Lawson are borrowing some plot points from Timo Vuorensola's Iron Sky.

In both films, the Third Reich is still threatening the modern world. And in this film, Joseph Mengele (Christopher Karl Johnson) is the architect of the German invasion. Hmmm strange, Mengele died in 1979. The inconsistencies continue, but Nazis at the Center of the Earth is an enjoyable...

I Heart 'Center of the Earth' Nazis
I mean, who doesn't?

With so many Nazi Zombie movies coming out (Iron Sky, Puppet Master X, The 25th Reich), how can I ever decide which will be the best? Between these, and the recent releases of Blubberella and Bloodrayne: The Third Reich, this has been a really really good year. For this kind of shit.

In Nazis at the Center of the Earth, probably based on true events, Dominique Swain and Jake Busey are scientists based in Antarctica who discover a secret Nazi base hidden in the center of the (duh! you didn't know?) hollow Earth. They are accompanied by a bunch of other young, hot scientists who were sent to do science in Antarctica. Can you believe Nazis have been hiding in the center of the Earth all this time?

Here is a still image of Dr. Jake Busey and his crack team of hardcore gelolomologists and snowologists,...

Anneliese: The Exorcist Tapes and the Possession Phenomenon: A Movie Review
Director: Jude Gerard Prest.

Cast: Nikki Muller, Gerold Wunstel, Kai Cofer and Christopher Karl Johnson, Nikki Muller.

Nearly every year, an exorcist/possession inspired film is guaranteed. Some productions are loosely based on actual cases of demonic possession and others are fiction.

Set in the 70's, Anneliese: The Exorcist Tapes (also known as Paranormal Entity 3) is a very period-looking piece about priests from different faiths attempting to exorcise the devil out of a young girl. The real life case of Anneliese Michel is the basis for this product, but after she was exorcised, the cause of her death was heavily scrutinized in the legal system.

Some parts of her exorcism were recorded and if these audio recordings are authentic, no detail is provided as to whom purchased the rights for cinematic exhibition. For reasons unknown, the audio recordings are now in the public domain and they can be found on the Internet (i.
