DC Studios will launch the Dcu with a useful resource that the MCU hasn't considered in over sixteen years. Marvel Studios built a cinematic empire with the Infinity Saga's 23 movies, and ventured into television with Phase 4's first wave of Disney+ shows. In 2021, Marvel Studios released its first-ever animated show, the animated anthology What If...?, which received a second season in 2023 and a final season in 2024. Once the McU's What If...? season 3 concludes, other animated shows like Marvel Zombies, Eyes of Wakanda, and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will carry its legacy.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled with teases, cliffhangers, and post-credits scenes — some good, some bad. However, by this point there've been too many teases that remain unfulfilled, including cameos that have yet to be paid off and credits stingers that promised bigs things yet have so far amounted to nothing. Marvel Studios' Moon Knight premiered on Disney+ in 2022 and, unfortunately, ended up being largely overshadowed during what proved to be another jam-packed year for the MCU both in theaters and on streaming.

The series, while not perfect, received a largely positive response but the character hasn't been seen since.

Doing press for Moon Knight, lead star Oscar Isaac confirmed on multiple occasions that he only signed up for a single season, meaning a new deal will need to be negotiated if the story of Marc Spector/Steven Grant/Jake Lockley is to continue.

Has that finally happened? According to insider @MyTimeToShineH, the current plan is for Moon Knight to return in the next Avengers movies (Doomsday and/or Secret Wars) and that long-rumoured Midnight Suns movie.

Moon Knight has become one of the most popular MCU superheroes, thanks to the success of his solo Disney+ series. Like most Disney+ shows, it was designed as a mini-series with a set number of episodes, and Moon Knight followed this format.

However, rules can change. Even though the series had a definitive ending, fans have been hoping for a second season for quite some time.

Recently, Mohamed Diab, one of the show’s directors, reignited hope by saying that with Marvel, nothing is ever truly finished. While there are no current plans, he expressed his eagerness to work on future projects with Moon Knight and highlighted his strong connection with Marvel.

Rumors have been swirling that Moon Knight Season 2 is in development. However, industry insider MyTimeToShineHello, who has a mixed track record, recently claimed on social media that the character might instead appear in upcoming Avengers projects or the rumored Midnight Sons project.

Moon Knight is at this point one of the most popular MCU superheroes as his solo Disney+ series was a great success for the streaming platform. Disney+ shows are often categorized as mini-series, meaning they have a predetermined amount of episodes and Moon Knight is no exception to this “rule.”

But rules can be broken, and despite ending in a pretty clear-cut way, fans have been hoping for ‘Moon Knight’ season 2, for quite a while now.

About a month ago, one of the directors who worked on the show Mohamed Diab, sparked some hope for the character’s return. He emphasized that nothing is ever truly over with Marvel and he would love to be involved in future projects with the character. While no plans are currently in motion, he values his strong relationship with Marvel.

This is following a plethora of rumors that ‘Moon Knight’ season 2 is currently in development.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been around and going strong for nearly two decades now, and Marvel Studios has definitely enjoyed more hits than misses across its movie and TV slate. However, when it comes to the MCU, that’s not to say that every project has been a hit and stuck the landing.

Marvel Studios' Eternals introduced the eponymous superhero team to the MCU, each imbued with remarkable and otherworldly abilities. Video game history might be defined by classic arcade titles, but those throwback gems haven’t always been protected and preserved.

While not all of those games are as well-known and influential on the gaming industry as the arcade’s greatest hits, they are still memorable in their own ways. Oscar winner Mahershala Ali finally broke his silence regarding the current status of Marvel Studios’ long-delayed Blade movie.

Since the project was first announced in July 2019, the Blade reboot has suffered multiple creative setbacks, which started with director Bassam Tariq exiting the project.
