Actress Melissa Gilbert criticized this year’s 50th-anniversary events for the iconic 70s television show Little House on the Prairie.
Gilbert stated that Gravel Road Markets, a company owned by anniversary event organizer Jack Bishop, advertised that she was a co-producer of various 50th-anniversary events, calling their actions “appalling.”
After she attended the Little House on the Prairie 50th Anniversary Cast Reunion and Festival in March 2024 in Simi Valley, California, Gilbert was unable to attend the rest of the tour.

“Immediately, I knew there was an issue because [Bishop] was promoting that I was going to be at all of these different places, and I wasn’t,” the actress told People. “Fans were buying tickets to see me, and I knew I wouldn’t be there.”

We recently shared that many of the surviving cast members of Little House on the Prairie cut ties with the event planning company Jack Bishop’s Gravel Road Markets LLC, after the company produced a number of 50th anniversary events. They wrote in a joint statement, “We have instructed Mr. Bishop to remove our names and likenesses from all sales and marketing assets supporting his scheduled Little House on the Prairie 50th anniversary events in Lyle, Tennessee; Keystone, South Dakota; Branson, Missouri; and Corsicana, Texas.” It seems that the drama continues as the September 14 event in Lyle, Tennessee continued on without the cast. Cast member Dean Butler took to social media to apologize to the fans and give an explanation, as well as thank the owners of the event location for doing the best they could under bad circumstances. He said, in part, “On behalf of the entire cast of Little House on the Prairie,...

At this year’s inaugural Canneseries television festival, one of last year’s most ambitious — and straight up chilling — digital short film series is getting a splashy new premiere. “Bite Size Shorts” were initially created as a campaign by Fox Networks Group’s integrated agency, led by All City’s Chief Content Officer Tony Sella and Executive Vice President David Worthen Brooks, along with + Fox Digital Studio producers Arbi Pedrossian and Steven Johnson.
The 10-part series, meant to creatively show off Mars candies, was first rolled out on the Fox broadcast network and FX last October in the lead up to Halloween. Each two-minute episode is a standalone horror short, featuring new offerings from filmmakers like Ben Franklin & Anthony Melton, Toby Meakins, John William Ross, Andrew Laurich, Michael Thelin, Jerome Sable, Chris Leone, Jack Bishop & Justin Nijm, Rob Savage, and Chris Leone. Ten shorts will be screened at the festival,...

While the fall holiday has already come and gone, it's never too early (or late) to celebrate John Carpenter's 1978 horror classic Halloween. Two filmmakers known collectively as "Jack and Justin," a.k.a. Justin Nijm and Jack Bishop, have taken footage from the original Halloween movie, and re-edited it to make it look like a movie from director David Fincher. This news comes just as a new Halloween movie is being put together, which brings back Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode. Here's what the filmmakers had to say on their Vimeo page about this fan edit.
"What John Carpenter's Halloween (1978) might look like if directed by David Fincher. Contains footage from Halloween (1978) directed by John Carpenter, re-edited, stabilized and color corrected to emulate the look and feel of a David Fincher film. Title sequence consists of various stock footage intercut with effects elements, photographs of Michael Myers and animated text.
