Is Chicago Fire teasing a romance between Novak and this returning character?
Image
Chicago Fire is full of married couples. A lot of the veteran characters have tied the knot at some point over the show's thirteen seasons. There are precious few that are single, but we are starting to think there may be something brewing with Lyla Novak (Jocelyn Hudon).

The medic has tried to keep the details about her past under wraps, but there is something going on between her and Jack Damon (Michael Bradway), a firefighter who recently returned to the show after getting booted from 51.

Novak and Damon have appeared flirty Chicago Fire -- "A Monster In the Field" Episode 13001 -- Pictured: Michael Bradway as Damon-- (Photo by: Peter Gordon/NBC)

There was some flirtation between Novak and Damon during the end of season 12, when they were both brand new to the firehouse. The latter was subsequently transferred to another firehouse, but the notion of Novak and Damon having...

Chicago Fire recap: A busy Friday night, a guest star from Novak’s past, and a character returns
David Eigenberg, Hanako Greensmith, Taylor Kinney, Joe Minoso, Miranda Rae Mayo, and Jocelyn Hudon in Chicago Fire (2012)
A new Chicago Fire episode arrived on Wednesday night with a special guest star.

That guest star turned out to be Lyla Novak’s ex-fiance.

As a reminder, Joe Cruz is back on the job after his suspension, and Mouch has returned after taking time to care for his wife, Trudy.

Sam Carver has sought help for his drinking problem, and Violet Mikami knows what’s up now.

Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide are heading into the adoption process thanks to some help from Sylvie Brett.

And the new chief (Dom Pascal) has exuded some suspect behavior that may lead to drama later this season.

Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 14 recap

The February 26 episode began with a cute moment between Violet and Carver as she stocked up the ambulance for the night. He told her that his meetings were going well. Novak walked in and noted that there would be a ride-along joining them.

Killer Thriller Comedy 'The Estate' Official Trailer with Eliza Coupe
Eliza Coupe, Greg Finley, and Chris Baker in The Estate (2020)
"Everybody's got someone they want to kill, thing is no one realizes how easy it is to do it." Vertical Ent. has released an official trailer for a thriller dark comedy titled The Estate, which first premiered a year ago at the Newport Beach Film Festival. It's arriving in theaters and on VOD this October for anyone curious. When the spoiled son and newest wife of a billionaire patriarch plot to murder him, they form a psycho-sexual bond with their brutally handsome hitman as they kill and kill (and kill) in their quest for wealth and recognition. Sounds wild. The film stars Eliza Coupe, Greg Finley, Lala Kent, and Chris Baker, who also wrote the script. "Deftly balancing sharp humor and horror, The Estate delivers a perfectly campy, wildly enjoyable thrill ride that packs a deadly punch." Looks wicked and debaucherous in all the right ways. Spencer Watson
Downeast - Jane Fae - 16885
Spencer Watson
Gritty. Sombre. Grey. Literally, very grey, because this is Portland, Maine: the cold, northern, almost Canadian bit of the USA where men are men and, seemingly, lobsters are the only business in town. Well, lobsters, and drugs. Because smuggling your contraband in lobster pots is the way to go.

Downeast is the very downbeat tale of a cold case murder. Mikey (Spencer Watson) and Tommy (Greg Finley) are best of buddies: Tommy is on the verge of dating Mikey’s sister, Emma (Dylan Silver). Then tragedy strikes. Mikey is murdered, in an incident that “no-one knows nuffink about.” Unless you count small fish crime lord Kerrigan (Judson Mills) or his homicidal henchperson Brennan (Joss Glennie-Smith). But they’re not saying neither!

It’s as you’d expect in a community where every other person connects to organised crime in one way or another: either working for the local boss or...

“The collaboration among the Buttery Bros., CrossFit HQ, and Gravitas has been smooth and it’s great to get the band back together,” said Michael Murphy, President of Gravitas Ventures. “Previous CrossFit films are immediate best-sellers, and we expect the same from Resurgence which is awesome in scope, story-telling, and quality.”

Shailene Woodley and Daren Kagasoff in The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2008)

Stephen Amell in Arrow (2012)
Can you miss what you never really had?

That is a question Arrow‘s John Diggle will have to consider if he ever learns that before The Flash‘s Barry Allen tinkered with the events of the past, he and wife Lyla were the parents of a daughter, named Sara, and not tyke John Jr. aka J.J.

Even on a show where people literally rise from the dead, this iZombie return is kind of a surprise.

Cool New Poster And One Final Extended Trailer For Tonight’s Episode Of The Flash
Tonight’s episode of The Flash is going to be a big one, especially as last week’s instalment left us on quite the cliffhanger as it was seemingly revealed that Harrison Wells’ attempt to give Barry Allen back his speed had in actual fact killed him. Throw in the fact that filmmaker Kevin Smith is helming this episode of the DC Comics adaptation, and there’s lots to look forward to.

With just hours to go until the episode airs, The CW has released a very cool new poster alongside an extended trailer which once again reassures us that The Flash is alive and well, but stuck in some sort of alternate dimension which may or may not be the speed force – depending on whose theory you decide to believe.

For more details on what to expect from this episode, here’s the synopsis for “The Runaway Dinosaur”:

'Barry Allen' Is Trapped (Within The Speed Force?) In New Images From Kevin Smith's Episode Of The Flash
Last night's episode of The Flash ended with a real shock as Barry Allen was disintergrated from Harry's attempt to recreate the accident which gave the Scarlet Speedster his powers. Rather than leaving us all thinking he's dead for the next week, The CW has revealed that Barry is instead trapped in some sort of alternate dimension, one which many believe could be the Speed Force. How he's going to get out of there (and what will become of Wally and Jess after being blasted by the explosion) isn't addressed in the images below, but see what clues you can figure out by going through them. Those scenes by the grave definitely seem to take place in the real world. Or not! We'll find out soon. With Barry (Grant Gustin) gone, the team must figure out a way to handle the return of an old enemy – Girder (guest star Greg Finley...

Extended Promo For The Flash Episode Directed By Kevin Smith
Despite being a super fan of DC Comics characters, Kevin Smith has not really had the opportunity to work with their iconic heroes outside of the comic book realm itself. Sure, there was the Tim Burton directed Superman Lives, which Smith penned the script for and came this close to entering principal photography back in the 1990’s, but it is baffling to think that nothing else has materialized since.

That all changes next week when an episode of The Flash, directed by Smith himself, hits the airwaves. Titled “The Runaway Dinosaur,” this outing looks like it picks up where last night’s episode left off as the team utilizes Cisco’s “vibing” abilities to locate Barry Allen in whatever reality he may be trapped in. With the enlistment of the highest profile director to work on the series to date, something tells me this may be a superhero/science fiction tour-de-force.

Kevin Smith Teases His Episode Of The Flash; Official Synopsis Released
This week’s episode of The Flash saw Barry Allen left without his powers after Zoom finally took his speed, and while the former Fastest Man Alive is going to have to find a way to deal with that in the next instalment, it’s the one which follows that’s currently shaping up to be even more exciting.

Directed by Kevin Smith, the filmmaker (who also helmed the Reaper pilot for The CW a number of years ago) recently made a podcast appearance to get fans hyped for his episode of The Flash, and it definitely sounds like this could be one of the Scarlet Speedster’s greatest adventures to date.

“First cut was 55-minutes, of my episode of The Flash that I directed. We got it down to the running time, it’s 42-minutes. It may be my favorite thing I’ve ever directed. Now that doesn’t...

Things aren't looking good for Major or Blaine in the latest episode of iZombie season 2...

This review contains spoilers.

2.14 Eternal Sunshine Of The Caffeinated Mind

The good news? Blaine didn't stay dead when Mr. Boss had his throat cut for moving in on his Utopium business. The bad news? This brings Blaine (and soon Major) one step closer to the inevitable death that, so far, all "cured" zombie-rats have faced. In the short term, however, it brings the drug war between Blaine and Mr. Boss out in the open.

Now that Mr. Boss knows it's Blaine who's been causing so many problems for him, Blaine has to make some moves. Luckily, he has the zombie edge. Does Mr. Boss even know about zombies? It seems like someone who is so in touch with Seattle's underworld would be in on this not-so-well-kept secret, but who knows. Something tells me Mr.

Extended Promo For iZombie Season 2, Episode 14: “Eternal Sunshine Of The Caffeinated Mind”
Thanks to the fine folks at The CW, we are able to enjoy this extended promo video for next week’s brand new episode of iZombie, which bears the clever title “Eternal Sunshine of the Caffeinated Mind.” And, as we can see in the opening moments of the footage, they are not afraid to drop it like it’s hot.

After witnessing many major developments in last night’s episode, “The Whopper,” fans can expect to see Liv and Clive investigate the murder of an entrepreneur/barista next week. It seems the dearly departed was a “glass half full” type of gal and Liv will obviously temporarily inherit her perspective on life.

While I would not count on her to start adorning her work space with “Hang in there, baby” kitty posters (although you never know with this show), it is probably a solid bet that Rose McIver will continue...

Review: The Flash: The Complete First Season
Yes, gaining great power brings with it great responsibility but that does not mean a character cannot revel in the sudden ability to do the seemingly impossible. After a decade of films with tortured protagonists, all in the name of gritty reality, the arrival of the CW’s The Flash series has garnered near universal praise because, for a change, the protagonist is having some fun. Out now from Warner Home Entertainment, The Flash: The Complete First Season is well worth having.

Grant Gustin makes for an appealing and engaging Barry Allen because he’s young and an unlikely hero, who is having fun running faster than the speed of sound. He’s a pumped, hyper-active puppy hero, eager to use his powers for as much good as possible, from helping paint buildings to rescuing stray animals. He wants to do it all and thinks he can.

Along the 22 episodes of the first season,...
