As Parks made s comeback on the Sunday, May 25, episode, she reflected on her firing from the show back in 2017. Exclusive: Grammy winner and Real Housewives vet Kandi Burruss and husband/entrepreneur Todd Tucker have joined the producing team of next spring’s much-anticipated Broadway revival of Othello starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Burruss and Tucker previously collaborated with Othello producer Brian Anthony Moreland on the Tony Award nominated revival of The Piano Lesson as well as The Wiz and Thoughts of a Colored Man.

Moreland announced the pair’s participation as Othello producers today. Also announced was the co-producing roster, which will include football player-turned-actor Devale Ellis and A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical producer Ken Davenport.

Exclusive: Adam Blackstone, who won a 2022 Emmy Award for his music direction of the memorable hip-hop Super Bowl Lvi Halftime Show featuring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and others, has joined the creative team of the Broadway-bound musical revival of The Wiz.

Blackstone has signed on as Dance Music Arranger, a position that reunites him with frequent collaborator JaQuel Knight, the show’s choreographer. (Blackstone joins the production with his associate Terence Vaughn.)

In a statement, Blackstone said the new collaboration with Knight will allow the two to “explore our own interpretation for a revival of this masterpiece.”

In the film, Sidora plays a wife who gives her husband a “hall pass” — or permission to sleep with another woman. Their lives take a wild turn as the one-night stand becomes a tool of deception.

Fans have watched Kandi since Rhoa season 2, and have closely followed her life and businesses from that moment on. Kandi & The Gang, centered around Kandi's family restaurant, Old Lady Gang, followed Kandi, her husband, Todd Tucker, her mother, and two aunts as they showcased the highs and lows of owning and operating a Southern-style eatery. Latanya Richardson Jackson’s star-studded helming of August Wilson’s fourth Pittsburgh Cycle entry The Piano Lesson is extending its Broadway run.

On Thursday, the play’s producers Brian Anthony Moreland, Sonia Friedman, Tom Kirdahy, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker announced that the revival will now close on Jan. 29 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.

The show, which opened on Oct. 13 for a 17-week engagement, stars Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington and Danielle Brooks. The ensemble also includes Ray Fisher, Trai Byers, April Matthis, Michael Potts, Nadia Daniel and Jurnee Swan.

Kandi Burruss-Tucker recently appeared on Andy Cohen’s show, Watch What Happens Live.

A fan called in and asked her if her perception of Marlo Hampton had changed after the reunion. She also asked why Kenya Moore doesn’t show the new peach-holder any compassion, as they have endured the same traumas.

Kandi paused to take in the questions. She admitted that people might think she was, “Cold-hearted” for what she was about to say, but she decided to speak on it anyway.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star said that she felt like Marlo’s tearful apology was rehearsed.

She said she felt like the Le’Archive owner was trying to avoid taking accountability and that’s why she revealed all the horrible things that happened in her childhood and adolescence.

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss is the longest-running cast member of the franchise and has been on the show since the second season.

Most Rhoa fans hardly know what a show would be like without Kandi, and it appears that she has no intentions on leaving anytime soon, and said she likes being a Housewife.

But there have been swirling rumors about the return of former Atlanta Housewife and current star of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip star, Phaedra Parks, being brought back into the fold to hold a peach once more.

Kandi and Phaedra were close friends at one time, but that all came to a head during Season 9, when Phaedra accused Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker, of attempting to drug and sexually assault Housewife Porsha Williams.

Kandi Burruss-Tucker’s stepdaughter Kaela Tucker recently spoke out about her thoughts on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Rhoa’s Kandi Burruss-Tucker and Todd Tucker tied the knot in April of 2014.

The pair have two kids together, Ace, born in 2016, and Blaze, born via surrogate in 2019.

Both Todd and Kandi each also had one daughter from previous relationships before they got together: Kaela Tucker and Riley Burruss.

Kandi’s stepdaughter Kaela recently made an appearance on her show, Speak on It.

Exclusive Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss and husband/executive producer Todd Tucker have joined the producing team of Broadway’s upcoming The Piano Lesson revival starring Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington and Danielle Brooks.

Burruss and Tucker were co-producers of Broadway’s Thoughts of a Colored Man earlier this season. They join the Piano Lesson producing team of Brian Anthony Moreland, Sonia Friedman and Tom Kirdahy. Latanya Richardson Jackson will direct.

The Piano Lesson begins performances on Monday, September 19, at the St. James Theatre.

“We couldn’t be more honored and excited to join the producing team of August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson,” said Burruss and Tucker in a statement. “As we continue to push to diversify the Broadway audience, this all-star team and cast is a dream come true for our next venture on Broadway.”

E! has ordered three new series and placed two others into development. The new shows are Nick Cannon’s “Celebrity Call Center,” which is a UK import, as well as “Dr. 90210” and “10 Things You Don’t Know.”
