The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (Awmf) has announced the 49th Annual Gracie Awards winners.

This year’s winners include Michelle Obama, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Glennon Doyle, Rachel Brosnahan, Maria Shriver, Gayle King, Angela Yee, and Nicole Kidman, among many others. Some of the shows honored include Yellowjackets and Only Murders in the Building, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and more.

Considering the wave of controversy around Russell Simmons’ appearance on “The Breakfast Club” radio show earlier this month, many people were surprised that the entrepreneur — who has been accused of sexual assault or misconduct by at least 20 women — was featured on the podcast and video series “Drink Champs,” which airs on Tidal and Revolt TV.

Following a backlash from many people online, including some of those accusers — notably Sil Lai Abrams, who has accused Simmons of sexually assaulting her in 1994 and is featured in the recent HBO documentary, “On the Record,” on the accusations against Simmons — Tidal and Revolt TV have pulled the episode from their platforms, and most social-media posts promoting it seem to have been deleted.

Fox Soul, iHeartMedia, and Motown Records are teaming on limited series Motown Countdown, which will stream each Tuesday in July.

The four-part music and talk series will be hosted by Angela Yee, who co-hosts iHeartRadio’s nationally syndicated show The Breakfast Club.

Fox Soul, a free, ad-supported streaming network, launched this year as a strategic effort by Fox to extend the audience for its stable of syndicated TV series. Radio host Rush Limbaugh denied the existence of white privilege during a conversation about the death of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter Movement with the hosts of “The Breakfast Club” in a pre-recorded interview that aired on Monday.

Limbaugh joined Charlamagne tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy on “The Breakfast Club,” a New York radio show that features discussion about hip-hop and Black culture, where he shared his outrage over the recent death of Floyd, an unarmed Black man who died in police custody last week in Minneapolis, which has ignited protests across the country.
