Sam Sanford(I)

Honolulu Radio personality and restaurateur. Sam was one of the original Poi-Boys at KPOI and worked for KHAI and KGU in the 1960's. Former broadcast writer for CBS in NYC. After college at Kent State, Sanford joined the Air Force where he completed his service with the Armed Forces Radio Services. He later settled in the Caribbean and operated a hotel in Haiti before moving to California and then Hawaii. His heroes were W.C. Fields and the comic duo Laurel and Hardy.
