The Dragon Ball website accidentally revealed the official name of Goku’s brand-new transformation. This information was prematurely revealed via a listing for a new Daima-related action figure.
Since the debut of Super Saiyan 4 Goku (Mini) in Daima Episode 18, Dragon Ball fans have wondered if the series will keep the name or give the formerly exclusive Dragon Ball Gt form a different moniker to rationalize the Super Saiyan God transformations that will follow in Dragon Ball Super. Based on concept art for Episode 18, the anime staff at Toei Animation were internally referring to Goku’s new Daima form as Super Saiyan 4, as it’s a clear tribute to the anime-original concept in Gt. However, the name “Super Saiyan 4” has yet to be used in the series and was intentionally avoided when Goku gave his classic introduction of Super Saiyan forms to King Gomah.
