Karla Grant

Karla Grant is a highly prominent and respected Australian journalist, presenter, and producer, especially known for her dedication to Indigenous affairs reporting. Karla has been the host and executive producer of Living Black, SBS's national Indigenous current affairs program, since it first aired in 2003. It is the longest-running Indigenous current affairs program on Australian television, and it recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Through Living Black, she provides a vital platform for the stories, issues, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Karla is a recipient of the prestigious Walkley Award for Coverage of Indigenous Issues, which she won with the Living Black team in 2021. This is one of the highest honours in Australian journalism.
