A tribute to the life of the late director Lynn Shelton will air Wednesday night live on YouTube and will feature special dedications and performances by Emily Blunt, Reese Witherspoon and Shelton’s partner Marc Maron, among many more.

The program titled “Her Effortless Brilliance: A Celebration of Lynn Shelton Through Film and Music” will air live on YouTube on June 10 at 9 p.m. Et/6 p.m. Pt and will be available for streaming and sharing immediately afterwards. The stream will be available here.

Shelton, the director of “Humpday,” “Your Sister’s Sister” and episodes of “Glow” and “Mad Men,” died suddenly on May 16 at 54 of a previously undisclosed blood disorder.

I hadn’t heard of Bounty Killer till a couple of YouTubers (Coolduder, Wetmovie1) mentioned the film in their usual DVD and Blu-ray round-ups. The title alone intrigued me, after all I had enjoyed the previous “bounty hunter” flicks I’d seen: Michael Dudikoff’s Bounty Hunters and Bounty Hunters 2: Hardball and the recent Trish Stratus (WWE Diva) starring Bounty Hunters. So I was bound to enjoy a film that not only featured bounty hunters, but was called Bounty Killer, right?

In a word. Yes! In fact two words: Hell Yes!

Based on a short film of the same name (and also the graphic novel adaptation) by Jason Dodson and Henry Saine, Bounty Killer is set 20 years after corporations took over the world s governments.

Bounty Killer is a new post-apocalyptic movie that was released today on VOD and in select theaters. We caught up with the movie’s director and co-writer, Henry Saine, for our latest Q&A feature. Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Henry. How long have you had the idea for Bounty Killer? Was this a world you wanted to get into ever since you first caught Mad Max (or another post apocalyptic-movie)?

Right from the start, you'll likely know whether you want to continue down the hilarious and overly violent schlock that is part of Bounty Killer's charm. We are given a world where bounty killers--bounty hunters with the license to kill off the white-collar criminals in a post-apocalyptic wasteland of the United States--are rock stars and adored. They appear on magazine covers, have groupies, and reap wealthy rewards for dispatching the bad guys that ruined the world's economy and environment. Is it a film that has more relevance today than ever before? Well, maybe it would have been better timed a few years back after the stock market crash, but writers Jason Dodson, Colin Ebeling, and Henry Saine were likely working on the original idea...

Henry Saine is the director behind The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu a film that mixes the humor of such Gen X styled comedies such as Reality Bites, Clueless, Floundering, etc. It then throws in some sci-fi with, of course, some horror. After all, this does have Lovecraft in the title and you couldn't do this type of film without some horror elements. Saine was all to bring a seamless quality to the narrative of the film making it so that the various story tangents flowed with one another, instead of feeling jerky or uneven.
