As movies like Bone Tomahawk and Tremors 4 have proven, horror and Westerns are two great tastes that taste great together. I always like to hear that another horror / Western blend is in the works – so I was glad to see The Hollywood Reporter announce that the folk horror thriller The Wolf and the Lamb, which is set “during the western expansion of the 1870s,” is coming our way. Cassandra Scerbo of the Sharknado franchise and Adrianne Palicki of The Orville star in the film, which is currently in production, with filming taking place in Montana.
The Wolf and the Lamb marks the feature writing and directing debut of Michael Schilf. Scerbo is taking on the role of a widowed school teacher searching for her only son, who is the latest child to go missing in a tight-knit mining camp. But when the son miraculously returns, he is more monster than man.

On the same day that John Wick director Chad Stahelski attached himself to a brand-new action project, one of the original John Wick stars signed on for an intriguing new film. A new report from THR revealed that John Wick actor Adrianne Palicki, who plays Ms. Perkins in the hit action film, will star alongside Cassandra Scerbo, Q'orianka Kilcher, and Angus Macfadyen in The Wolf and the Lamb, a new Western horror thriller set during the expansion in the 1870s. The film is currently shooting in Montana and will be written and directed by Michael Schilf, who will make his feature directorial debut on the project. The Wolf and the Lamb follows a widowed school teacher searching for her son, who was the last child to go missing in a mining camp. However, when she finds him, he isn't as she remembers.

Movies like Truth or Dare make viewers question what they would do in a dangerous party game scenario. The film highlights the theme of betrayal and secrets among friends, causing physical and mental suffering. Alex and Maddie must trust each other to survive the game, ultimately choosing loyalty over betrayal.
Truth or Dare (2017) often gets confused with the Blumhouse movie of the same that came out a year later, and while that film may have slightly better production values, the Syfy TV movie was the first to the table with the idea of the classic kids' game turned horror film. Movies about party games going wrong are always a fun idea because of just how relatable they are. Playing a party game that isn't going well is a universal experience, whether because someone's taking it too seriously or the rules haven't been explained properly - however, in real life, no...

Hope Runs High has acquired U.S. rights to Augusto Sandino’s sophomore feature “A Vanishing Fog,” which won the SXSW Zeiss cinematography prize. The film is slated for an early 2024 opening in U.S. theaters. It’s the first feature to be shot in Colombia’s Sumapaz Páramo, the largest ecosystem of its kind in the world.
“In the middle of the staggering and endangered Sumapaz Paramo ecosystem; F, a solitary explorer, strives to protect the mystical and fragile land he inhabits, while caring for his ailing father,” the synopsis reads.
“Augusto Sandino’s incredible blend of playful surrealism and the overwhelming individuality of the environment in which the film is set has stayed with me since my first viewing. I believe his ability to balance visual scale, cinematic playfulness, and true heart make him an artist we should be engaging with frequently,” said Hope Runs High curator Taylor Purdee.

What would summer be without a Sharknado movie? More importantly, what would a Sharknado movie be without a dozen obscure or just plain weird cameos from superstars of the past? Just a few weeks after Syfy debuted the first chainsaw-weilding poster, along with the full title Sharknado 5: The Global Swarming, the network has unleashed yet another one-sheet for this highly-anticipated sequel. This latest poster showcases franchise stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, along with the return of original Sharknado star Cassie Scerbo, who's back as Nova Clarke, a bartender in the first movie who has transformed into a bad-ass Sharknado fighter. This poster also offers a glimpse at some of the world monuments that will be affected by this global Shark storm.
E! Online debuted this poster, which features the chainsaw-wielding Finn (Ian Ziering), the colorful April (Tara Reid) and the black-clad Nova (Cassie Scerbo) all in the eye of this Sharknado. We can also see London's Big Ben, Egypt's The Great Sphinx of Giza and the ancient Colosseum in Rome being torn apart by this shark-filled down pour.

Cassie Scerbo's new film, The Perfect Soulmate, might sound like a romantic comedy, but it's anything but.
The 27-year-old actress stars in the upcoming Lifetime movie as Lee Maxson, a bookish young woman who finds solace from her abusive home in the words of a beautiful, accomplished poet, Sarah Miles (Alex Paxton-Beesley). Things get complicated however, as Lee grows increasingly obsessive over her new companion -- and Sarah discovers the tragic ending Lee has planned for her.

The role is a departure for Scerbo, who found fame with her parts on ABC Family's Make It or Break It and Teen Spirit, though the actress told Et over the phone earlier this month that the ability to play such a different character is exactly what attracted her to the project.

“Sharknado” Cassie Scerbo gets the best/worst line of the first movie, and delivers it with the appropriate amount of overwrought emotion: “They took my grandfather, so I really hate sharks.” At the movie’s climax, Scerbo falls out of a helicopter while fighting off a shark — into the mouth of a different shark. Not to worry: Scerbo is rescued from the shark’s belly when Ziering dives chainsaw-first into its mouth and cuts them both out. “Sharknado 2: The Second One” In a nod to the first movie, Ziering cuts a shark in half with his chainsaw, in slow motion,...
