Ozzy Osbourne took the stage for his last-ever solo set at the “Back to the Beginning” concert at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, on Saturday (July 5th).
The Prince of Darkness, who rose from below the stage in a throne, kicked things off with “I Don’t Know,” and proceeded to perform his best known solo songs, including “Mr. Crowley,” “Suicide Solution,” “Mama I’m Coming Home,” and the set-closing “Crazy Train.”
Ozzy’s backing band for his final solo performance included guitarist Zakk Wylde, keyboardist Adam Wakeman, drummer Tommy Clufetos, and Alice in Chains bassist Mike Inez (who was a member of Ozzy’s band before he joined Aic).
Ozzy’s vocals sounded strong despite the physical setbacks he has suffered over the past several years. He had launched his farewell tour back in 2018, but it only lasted a few months, as he experienced one medical issue after another...

Ozzy Osbourne was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday night (October 19th) in Cleveland with a rousing and highly entertaining speech by Jack Black. The Prince of Darkness was also honored with a three-song performance fronted by Maynard James Keenan, Jelly Roll, and Billy Idol.
Jack Black gave an all-time Rock Hall speech, with his face turning beet red as he hilariously screamed his way through a highly animated rundown of Ozzy’s various achievements.
Ozzy himself followed, sitting in a giant leather bat-design chair. The metal icon singled out his late guitarist Randy Rhoads and his wife Sharon during his brief speech.
The all-star performance was next, as Tool’s Maynard James Keenan sang “Crazy Train” alongside Wolfgang Van Halen on lead guitar, with a backing band of Chad Smith on drums, Robert Trujillo on bass, Andrew Watt on rhythm guitar, and Adam Wakeman on keyboards.

The view from Apm Music’s office on Sunset Boulevard is expansive, from downtown to Dodger Stadium, to Century City and all points west. The company has been in the same tower since opening its doors in Los Angeles in 1984, but it’s moved up in the world, from a few rooms to most of the ninth floor. Apm has scaled the heights in more ways than one. “We’re the largest production music library in North America, if not the world,” says company president Adam Taylor. Apm music can be heard in films and trailers for projects including “Dumbo,” “Us,” “Green Book” and “A Star Is Born.” The collection has also become popular for sampling, with artists like Jay-z, Chance the Rapper and Missy Elliott among those who have availed themselves of Apm’s easy licensing and legal indemnification.
