FBI: International cocreator Derek Haas is just as upset about the show’s cancellation as fans are. “I was so sad to hear about the cancellation because I loved Jesse [Lee] Soffer as Wes on the show and really thought it was a dynamic cast addition in Season 4,” Haas said in an interview with TVLine published on Sunday, June 22. Haas also gushed over Wes’ bond with Special Agent Tyler Booth (Jay Hayden), stating, “They were gold together.” According to Haas, he has “no insight” into why CBS decided to cancel the show after four seasons earlier this year. “I love [CBS Entertainment President] Amy [Reisenbach] and [EVP of current programming] Eric [Kim] over at CBS plus all my good friends at Wolf [Entertainment], and trust their instincts,” he added. “So they must’ve had reasons that had nothing to do with the quality of the show.” Cocreated by Haas and Dick Wolf, FBI: International premiered in 2021 and marked...

There’ll be a lot less FBI agents on TV next season. CBS announced Tuesday that it has opted not to renew “FBI” spinoffs “FBI: Most Wanted” and “FBI: International.”
The flagship series, which stars Missy Peregrym and Zeeko Zaki, was previously renewed through the 2026-27 TV season at CBS.
Keeping two high-profile shows on the air after multiple seasons has gotten harder as costs continue to increase in Hollywood — the fact that both shows are also produced by Universal Television, an outside studio, makes a renewal even more difficult to secure. A previously announced “FBI: CIA” project remains in development and has not yet been cast.
The cancellations also come as President Trump’s animosity towards the actual bureau continues to play out. Last month, TheWrap talked to several experts, including two former FBI agents, who discussed how this real-life situation might affect the Dick Wolf universe: None of...

Friction within the workplace can, oftentimes, not be averted, especially if the job description is anywhere near the intensity the Fly Team on FBI: International have to function under. After getting a 90-day assignment to the Fly Team, Agent Tyler Booth, played by Jay Hayden, found himself looking at the happy prospect of earning a promotion. Besides it being an opportunity to jumpstart his career once more, more importantly, it provided him with the chance to be closer to his daughter. However, standing between him and this unique opportunity would be the positive testimony of Europol Agent Megan "Smitty" Garretson (Eva-Jane Willis). And Smitty wouldn't give it.

FBI is thriving on CBS. The franchise has proven to be the latest Dick Wolf triumph, spawing two spinoffs and a host of different crossover events. FBI has even had the benefit of crossing over with other Dick Wolf franchises like One Chicago.
It should come as no surprise that CBS wants more FBI. The more shows in the rotation, the easier it becomes for the network to sustain and bolster the franchise's popularity. The network announced plans for a third spinoff on Wednesday, January 22, but the title has sort of stolen the spotlight. FBI: CIA is going to be the title of the franchise's latest entry. You read that right: FBI: CIA.
FBI: CIA is going to be the franchise's next title “They Paid More” – When a bus full of American volunteers is hijacked in a dangerous section of Morocco, the Fly Team works to locate the missing aid...

Station 19 star Danielle Savre, who portrayed Maya Bishop, discusses the show's seven-season run and its definitive ending in 2024. The Grey’s Anatomy spinoff, which followed the lives of firefighters and paramedics at Station 19 in Seattle, featured a strong ensemble including Jaina Lee Ortiz, Grey Damon, Jason Winston George, and Jay Hayden. The series garnered a dedicated audience and generally positive reviews for its diverse cast and engrossing plotlines. Sadly, Station 19 ended with season 7, although the reason for the cancellation is unclear.
During an interview with Screen Rant's Zak Wojnar, Savre discussed how the show’s conclusion allowed for a sense of closure for Maya and the other characters. Unlike many shows that leave their endings open for interpretation, Station 19 provided a complete and uplifting resolution, offering a glimpse into the future where the characters' goals are fulfilled. Savre expressed gratitude towards showrunners Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige for avoiding cliffhangers or tragic outcomes.

There are several reasons that FBI: International's Fly Team misses vital member Scott Forrester (Luke Kleintank). Forrester is the agent in charge of the team during the procedural's first three seasons, but he is not part of the FBI: International season 4 cast because Kleintank chose not to renew his contract. Unfortunately, that left the Fly Team without a leader toward the end of season 3, as Forrester was Mia and was later said to be helping his fugitive mother escape.
This disappointing FBI franchise exit was followed up by the introduction of Chicago Pd alum Jesse Lee Soffer as Wes Mitchell, the new team leader. Mitchell comes to Budapest in search of the men who had killed his partner in Los Angeles and is soon revealed to have trained Vo (Vinessa Vidotto) when she joined the FBI. Some cancellations always hurt more than others. That was certainly the case for the broadcast TV shows in 2024. We are still salty about some of those decisions.
We know that some TV shows have to come to an end. The writing is usually on the wall for some of them. The linear ratings are down, or the show just isn’t getting great reviews. However, this year, there were some cancellations that were completely unjustified. Or we lost great shows that just didn’t have the chance to find their audiences.
We’re taking a look back at 2024 and the TV cancellations that hurt the most. We’re not just sad; we’re salty. This is for broadcast only. There are some streaming cancellations that I absolutely hate!

There are very few comedies on TV now. This year has seen a few hits on NBC, but other networks have struggled.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for FBI: International season 4, episode 8, "You'll Never See It Coming."
FBI: International season 4, episode 8, "You'll Never See It Coming," offers a strong cliffhanger that clarifies how much the Fly Team needs Scott Forrester (Luke Kleintank). Forrester was the team leader in one of the best FBI shows for the first three seasons. However, he left abruptly after Kleintank decided not to renew his contract. After Forrester went Mia and was said to be helping his fugitive mother, Wes Mitchell (Jesse Lee Soffer) came to Budapest in search of the person who had killed his partner in Los Angeles, becoming team leader after that case.
"You'll Never See It Coming" offers a compelling sequel to Mitchell's initial story. FBI International's returning villain Greg Csonka (Beau Knapp) is now on trial in Hungary for the murder of MItchell's partner, but the proceedings are jeopardized when he murders the star witness against him.
