Comments came earlier this week from Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltenheimer that the distributor is so confident in their upcoming "Power Rangers" cinematic reboot that they already have up to six sequels planned. Considering we're a full year out from the release of the first film, it seems premature to offer such a prediction.

While the studio isn't short on hubris, it has been stingy in terms of promotional material for the film which has seen only two stills published so far - cast shots of the characters in costume along with the villain Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks). Now, more set photos from the Vancouver shoot have popped up giving us our first look at the pre-visual effects Putty Patrollers in their CGI green screen leotards as they fight the stunt double of Red Ranger.

Earlier today, we reported that Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltenheimer is so confident in their new Power Rangers movie that they want to make upwards of 6 more sequels. Since we still have almost a full year before this movie hits theaters next March, it may be a bit premature to be discussing so many movies right now, especially since Paramount and 20th Century Fox prematurely announced sequels for Terminator Genisys and Fantastic Four that are now, at best, in limbo. Just hours after that Lionsgate conference call, new photos surfaced from the set, giving us our first look at the Putty Patrollers in their CGI green screen suits, as they take on the Red Ranger (Dacre Montgomery).

The photos came from Yvr Shoots, which reveals an action-packed fight scene in the middle of the street, with Dacre Montgomery's stunt double taking on a number of these Putty Patrollers before they are digitally rendered during post-production.
