Universal Pictures surprised us back in January when they announced that not only was a new entry in the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World franchise in the works, but the screenplay was already finished and the project was aiming for a 2025 theatrical release. July 2, 2025, to be exact. This new movie is called Jurassic World Rebirth, and it was assembled in a mad scramble so it can stay on track to reach theatres next July. There’s a new entry in the Jurassic Park / Jurassic World franchise heading our way, with Jurassic World Rebirth set to reach theatres on July 2, 2025 – and during an interview with Empire, director Gareth Edwards said that the new movie goes back to what he loved about the original Jurassic Park.

News of the new Jurassic World movie first hit back in January, when it was revealed that the screenplay – by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp, returning to the franchise for the first time since The Lost World: Jurassic Park – had already been written. The project was assembled in a mad scramble after that, with Godzilla and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Gareth Edwards ending up at the helm. This new Jurassic World movie won’t be featuring any returning lead characters from the previous Jurassic Park / Jurassic World movies, so describing it as a “Rebirth” could be accurate.

Next summer, three years after the Jurassic World trilogy concluded, the franchise will undergo another evolution with filmmaker Gareth Edwards' (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) Jurassic World Rebirth.

Anchored by Avengers: Endgame star Scarlett Johansson, breakthrough talent Jonathan Bailey and two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali (who may or may not end up playing the McU's Blade), this action-packed new chapter will see an intrepid team racing to secure DNA samples from the three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air.

Kelley garnered 1.6 billion minutes viewed on Nielsen’s Top Streaming list for the week that spanned Oct. 14 to 20. Considering the fact that Season 3 of the Manuel Garcia-Rulfo-starring series premiered midway through that week on Oct. 17, those numbers are especially impressive.

According to Nielsen, the audience for “The Lincoln Lawyer” tends to be a bit older than the typical streaming audience, as 61% falls into the 50 years and over age range. However, Nielsen described its viewing profile as “quite balanced,” as it was composed of 17% Hispanic viewers (vs. 19% overall), 14% Black (vs. 14%), 6% Asian (vs. 7%) and 61% white viewers (vs. 61%).

In 1955, Juan Rulfo penned “Pedro Páramo,” which quickly ascended to the ranks of universal literary classics, thanks in part to the literary boom of the 1950s in Hispanic America. The novel is notoriously difficult to adapt, given its evocative potential and literary poetics. A novel that, when read, seemed almost impossible to translate into another medium has now been revisited by Rodrigo Prieto, who endeavors to capture the ghostly spirit of a town steeped in death, memory, and sadness.

Staying true to Juan Rulfo’s original text, the film manages to capture the essence of the story, as well as the spectral and evocative force of this iconic novel from the last century.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo's Mickey Haller seeks her out during a case before she ends up testifying in court and helping him nail down the real killer.

Season 2 saw Glory Days return as the case was retried, although she was arrested for drug possession and eventually had to have Mickey help her get the charges dropped. Sadly, after a trip to Hawaii to spend time with her family, she was found dead at the end of Season 2 on a morgue table.

Things weren’t always so messy for Mickey (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo). This is evident in the first 11 minutes of The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3, which you can check out above.

In a flashback set 15 years earlier, Mickey hits the surf to start his day. He’s blissfully married to Maggie (Neve Campbell), drives a humble red Volkswagen, and holds onto big dreams, like one day owning that classic blue Lincoln convertible. Later, he gets his client acquitted on a technicality before a disgruntled cop issues a foreboding warning that “somebody’s gonna end up dead” because of his courtroom antics.

Jeff Goldblum does not expect to return to the Jurassic World universe and weighs in on the new saga, starting with Jurassic World Rebirth.

In a new interview, the Jurassic Park alum says his time playing Dr. Ian Malcolm might be over, but he is hopeful for the saga’s rebirth.

“I think Ian Malcolm may have ridden off into the sunset. Maybe,” Goldblum told Total Film. “Because this next one [Jurassic World Rebirth] – my friend Scarlett Johansson and my new friend Jonathan Bailey from Wicked, I think, are taking up the reins. And I can’t wait to see what they do. I think that’s a good idea.”

Goldblum first played Dr. Ian Malcom in 1993’s Jurassic Park. He reprised his role in its 1997 sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park. It wasn’t until 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom that Goldblum played Dr. Malcom again, followed by 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion.
