Legal dramas often walk a fine line between being gripping and downright over-the-top, and while Suits had its charm (and plenty of swagger), The Lincoln Lawyer came in hot with something Suits just couldn’t quite match—raw, street-smart realism. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo’s take on Mickey Haller didn’t rely on designer suits or lofty office drama.

Nope, he operated straight out of the back seat of his Lincoln, taking the phrase on the go to a whole new level. The series delivered courtroom showdowns with a grittier edge, balancing the flash with some serious depth. Sure, Suits had the banter, but The Lincoln Lawyer made the law feel like it wasn’t just polished—it was personal.

Based on the novel by Juan Rulfo, a key work in Mexican literature, Rodrigo Prieto’s Pedro Páramo follows several characters across decades as they search for answers to their lives. The story unfolds in arid villages and lush haciendas, against a backdrop of feudal aristocracy and a powerful Catholic church. First seen at a crossroads in a desolate landscape, Juan Preciado (Tenoch Huerta) sets out to keep a promise to reconnect with his estranged father Pedro Páramo (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo). In his journey Juan encounters others who have dealt with his father: criminals, priests, the deaf and blind, and above all, […]

Universal Pictures surprised us back in January when they announced that not only was a new entry in the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World franchise in the works, but the screenplay was already finished and the project was aiming for a 2025 theatrical release. July 2, 2025, to be exact. This new movie is called Jurassic World Rebirth, and it was assembled in a mad scramble so it can stay on track to reach theatres next July. Details have been kept under wraps so far, but Universal just revealed some plot and character information the other day, so now it’s time for us to put together a list of Everything We Know About Jurassic World Rebirth:

There’s a new entry in the Jurassic Park / Jurassic World franchise heading our way, with Jurassic World Rebirth set to reach theatres on July 2, 2025 – and during an interview with Empire, director Gareth Edwards said that the new movie goes back to what he loved about the original Jurassic Park.
News of the new Jurassic World movie first hit back in January, when it was revealed that the screenplay – by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp, returning to the franchise for the first time since The Lost World: Jurassic Park – had already been written. The project was assembled in a mad scramble after that, with Godzilla and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Gareth Edwards ending up at the helm. This new Jurassic World movie won’t be featuring any returning lead characters from the previous Jurassic Park / Jurassic World movies, so describing it as a “Rebirth” could be accurate.

Next summer, three years after the Jurassic World trilogy concluded, the franchise will undergo another evolution with filmmaker Gareth Edwards' (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) Jurassic World Rebirth.
Anchored by Avengers: Endgame star Scarlett Johansson, breakthrough talent Jonathan Bailey and two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali (who may or may not end up playing the McU's Blade), this action-packed new chapter will see an intrepid team racing to secure DNA samples from the three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air.
Now, thanks to Empire (via SFFGazette.com), we have a new look at Johansson's skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett, a character contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world's three most massive dinosaurs.
However, when Zora's operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos, they all find themselves stranded on...

“The Lincoln Lawyer” isn’t just a Netflix hit; it’s a certified TV hit. The legal drama from David E. Kelley garnered 1.6 billion minutes viewed on Nielsen’s Top Streaming list for the week that spanned Oct. 14 to 20. Considering the fact that Season 3 of the Manuel Garcia-Rulfo-starring series premiered midway through that week on Oct. 17, those numbers are especially impressive.
According to Nielsen, the audience for “The Lincoln Lawyer” tends to be a bit older than the typical streaming audience, as 61% falls into the 50 years and over age range. However, Nielsen described its viewing profile as “quite balanced,” as it was composed of 17% Hispanic viewers (vs. 19% overall), 14% Black (vs. 14%), 6% Asian (vs. 7%) and 61% white viewers (vs. 61%).

From a landmark of Mexican magical realism literature to a breathtaking Cinematic experience that reawakens the soul of a cherished classic for new generations. Juan Rulfo’s ‘Pedro Páramo’ is one of the most influential pieces of fictional literature in Mexican history, shaping pieces such as One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. This led to multiple adaptations across the years. The most recent one is directed by Rodrigo Prieto and written by Mateo Gil. Starring Manuel García Rulfo as Pedro Páramo and Tenoch Huerta as Juan Preciado. The film perfectly recreates the unsettling unease, and disorientation of the book while using the power of Cinema to enhance scenes and characters alongside its themes of power, corruption, and the destructive nature of human desire. Mexican cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto has been plying his creative trade in Hollywood for over two decades. His notably instrumental camerawork can be seen in most of Martin Scorsese’s latest works and Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie.” For his directorial debut, Prieto, however, follows in the footsteps of his earlier collaborator, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. “Pedro Paramo” (2024) is a landmark novel in Latin American literature. One that influenced Gabriel Garcia Marquez to create another, relatively popular, landmark literary work, “One Hundred Years of Solitude.” The novel is one of the early proponents of the artistic phenomenon known as “Magic Realism.”
In “Pedro Paramo,” Juan Preciado (Tenoch Huerta) travels to the abandoned ruins of what once was a bustling town called Comala. Juan was conceived in this place, as this is the place where his father, the eponymous Pedro Paramo (Manuel Garcia Rulfo), lived and ruled. Pedro abandoned Juan’s mother, Dolores (Ishbel Bautista). On her deathbed,...

Magical realism meets a grand family saga in “Pedro Páramo,” the directorial debut of cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto. As the man responsible for lighting and lensing countless renowned films — including “Barbie,” “Killers of the Flower Moon” and “Brokeback Mountain” — Prieto brings a keen eye to one of Mexico’s most influential novels. A tale of ghosts and memories that slips through time, Mateo Gil’s screenplay follows the structure of Juan Rulfo’s 1955 text with stringent fidelity, laying the groundwork for a melancholic (if slightly imbalanced) adaptation that finds visual splendor in the macabre.
Tenoch Huerta (“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”) plays Juan Preciado, a man who travels to his late mother’s hometown of Comala sometime after the Revolution (1910-20), in search of the father he never met: a figure named Pedro Páramo (Manuel García Rulfo), who he quickly learns has died as well. The missing figure’s name is often spoken in full,...

For the past few weeks, I have been watching stuff that is intentionally and confidently convoluted in an attempt to make it seem like the story is complex, even though it’s clearly not. It’s not like I am voluntarily picking out these projects. They’re all chosen randomly so that they can be covered during the week of their release. And despite the unmethodical nature of the choices, if a pattern shows up, then I think it’s a trend. Joker: Folie à Deux seemed like an ending explainer for the previous movie, but it alternated between what’s real and what’s not in the dumbest fashion imaginable. Teacup was like a wannabe From, which itself was a confounding trip. The Last Night at Tremore Beach was infuriating and baffling. The Man Who Loved UFOs, despite being a biography, was a whole lot of nothing. Then there was Caddo Lake,...

“Pedro Páramo” is a Mexican movie starring Manuel García-Rulfo with Tenoch Huerta, Ilse Salas, and Mayra Batalla. It is directed by Rodrigo Prieto, and written by Mateo Gil.
In 1955, Juan Rulfo penned “Pedro Páramo,” which quickly ascended to the ranks of universal literary classics, thanks in part to the literary boom of the 1950s in Hispanic America. The novel is notoriously difficult to adapt, given its evocative potential and literary poetics. A novel that, when read, seemed almost impossible to translate into another medium has now been revisited by Rodrigo Prieto, who endeavors to capture the ghostly spirit of a town steeped in death, memory, and sadness.
Staying true to Juan Rulfo’s original text, the film manages to capture the essence of the story, as well as the spectral and evocative force of this iconic novel from the last century.

The Lincoln Lawyer ended its third season with a major cliffhanger, one that leaves its main character, Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), in a very precarious position. The series premiered on Netflix in 2022, following Mickey; he doesn’t exactly run his practice out of the back of his town car (he has an office), though his vehicle is an important aspect of his life. But will there be a fourth season? Below, we take a look at what we know about the drama’s future. Has The Lincoln Lawyer been renewed for Season 4? Not yet! And that’s especially unfortunate because… How did the Season 3 finale end? The show left off on a major cliffhanger! Mickey, just as he was planning to head off on vacation, was pulled over by a cop for a missing license plate. The officer then, during the stop, found the body of one of his clients,...

Mickey Haller has a poor track record when it comes to romance on The Lincoln Lawyer.
When we were first introduced to the defense lawyer, we quickly discovered that he had two ex-wives, both of whom he was still on excellent terms with, including one who was still his legal aide.
So, while he’s been a little unlucky in love, he and his exes are still close, which says something about him and how his relationships end.
(Lara Solanki/Netflix)
While some of the series, which just finished its third season, has revolved around Mickey’s unresolved feelings for wife number one (and mother to his daughter Hayley) Maggie McPherson, the two ultimately pressed pause on their relationship for good.
And that was for the betterment of both Mickey and the series.

The Ted Humphrey-created, and David E. Kelley executive-produced series “The Lincoln Lawyer” finally returns for season 3. Adapted from Michael Connelly’s series of books about the titular Lincoln Lawyer, Mickey Haller, the show is a ratings hit on Netflix precisely because it is both an old-school throwback to network TV legal dramas, with an added sheen afforded to Netflix shows. It almost emulates the “sunny blue-skies era” of the USA Network, which made “Suits” get a gigantic second wind when it dropped on Netflix.
Most importantly after the success of “Bosch” on Prime Video and its spinoff on the sister channel Freevee, Netflix wanted to hop on the Connelly bandwagon. While “The Lincoln Lawyer” isn’t as good as “Bosch,” it has a consistency in terms of story and vibe and perfectly dependable filmmaking that allows it to be a streamable experience, even as the show fumbled majorly in the second season.

The star behind The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3's Glory Days character took a moment to celebrate her role and the show's upcoming release.
Played by Fiona Rene, who also stars in Tracker, Gloria Dayton (better known as Glory Days) is introduced to The Lincoln Lawyer fans in Season 1 as a sex worker. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo's Mickey Haller seeks her out during a case before she ends up testifying in court and helping him nail down the real killer.
Season 2 saw Glory Days return as the case was retried, although she was arrested for drug possession and eventually had to have Mickey help her get the charges dropped. Sadly, after a trip to Hawaii to spend time with her family, she was found dead at the end of Season 2 on a morgue table.

Wow. Anyone else finding themselves watching the last episode of The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 with their hand over their mouth? Ever since the first season of Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer, the showrunners have been preparing viewers for Gods of Guilt, the fifth book in the legal series created by Michael Connelly. The Season 2 finale back in August 2023 already teed us up for it, with the arrest of a man named Julian La Cosse, who was told to call defense attorney Mickey Haller if ever his world came tumbling down.
Well, being accused of the death of his sex worker “friend” — Haller’s first season key witness, Gloria Dayton — would certainly constitute as big trouble.

After his testimony, Bishop shocked everyone in the courtroom by revealing he had another gun (the judge had the bailiff take his primary weapon) and shooting himself, dying by suicide. Mickey’s client Julian La Cosse (Devon Graye) was free—and got a nice settlement. Then, as the season ended, Mickey was looking forward to a vacation when he was...

In Season 3, we welcome someone new into the driver’s seat of The Lincoln Lawyer’s titular vehicles — Eddie Rojas (Allyn Moriyon), a super buff blast from Mickey Haller’s (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) past.
When Mickey gets Eddie off the hook in a carjacking case, the family friend and former babysitter of Mickey’s daughter, Hayley (Krista Warner), takes the chauffeur gig as a means to pay off his legal debts. But alongside Eddie’s adorable antics — the green juices, his enthusiasm for crocheting, a blind allegiance to a LeBron James life coaching app — is a wholesome, undeniable wisdom. And by the end of their time together, it might just be Mickey who owes Eddie.
To learn more about the character, Tudum called up the man behind the man behind the wheel. Keep reading for Moriyon’s thoughts on everything from fitness routines to on-screen driving to Eddie’s shocking fate.

He’s blissfully married to Maggie (Neve Campbell), drives a humble red Volkswagen, and holds onto big dreams, like one day owning that classic blue Lincoln convertible. Later, he gets his client acquitted on a technicality before a disgruntled cop issues a foreboding warning that “somebody’s gonna end up dead” because of his courtroom antics.
That brings us to the present day, with Mickey navigating a case that feels all too personal, in the new episodes premiering Oct. 17. His friend and former client, Glory Days (Fiona Rene), has been murdered, and his new client, Julian La Cosse (Devon Graye), is accused of killing her.

Jeff Goldblum does not expect to return to the Jurassic World universe and weighs in on the new saga, starting with Jurassic World Rebirth.
In a new interview, the Jurassic Park alum says his time playing Dr. Ian Malcolm might be over, but he is hopeful for the saga’s rebirth.
“I think Ian Malcolm may have ridden off into the sunset. Maybe,” Goldblum told Total Film. “Because this next one [Jurassic World Rebirth] – my friend Scarlett Johansson and my new friend Jonathan Bailey from Wicked, I think, are taking up the reins. And I can’t wait to see what they do. I think that’s a good idea.”
Goldblum first played Dr. Ian Malcom in 1993’s Jurassic Park. He reprised his role in its 1997 sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park. It wasn’t until 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom that Goldblum played Dr. Malcom again, followed by 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion.
