Ruchika Mandhyan

Ruchika Mandhyan is an actress, writer, producer. She is a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts. Ruchika enjoys creating compelling, character driven content. Her script for The Journey of Mr. Deshee, a movie about immigration was a finalist @Sundance Mahindra Institute and is now available on Amazon Prime. She was a producer on The Old Son, a film based on the short story by sci-fi novelist Norman Spinrad which was a festival favorite. Ruchika wrote the literary adaptation for One Amazing Thing, a multicultural novel by acclaimed Indian American novelist Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. As an actress she has done several shorts and plays a police psychologist in the SAG-AFTRA web series Detective Adam Sera. Ruchika also wrote, staged and performed the one woman plays: C. I. C: Contradictory Identity Contradictions at the Edinburgh festival, Stuck in Shavasana and Call ICE-11 at the Santa Monica Playhouse. As a model she has collaborated with various fashion designers and photographers including appearing in Vogue Italy as part of the Bloodhoney Project by renowned photographer Harun Mehmedinovic. In her free time Ruchika has devoted over 3000 hours of volunteer work to various animal, children's and women's rights organizations including L.A Animal Rescue, Book Pals and Give Her Life.
