Thank God Col. Young grabbed those communication stones, or the crew of the Destiny would feel a lot like the people of "Stargate: Atlantis" did the first couple of seasons.Anyway, using those stones, we get a better look at the lives of Lt. Scott (Brian J. Smith) and Camile Wray (Ming-Na) as they visit people they've left behind. For Camile, that means returning home to spend time with her partner (and we don't mean a business one) trying her best to make the strange circumstance normal. Meanwhile, Scott learns that a past relationship might not have ended as he thought. On the Destiny, as we find our crew in this sneak peek, Dr. Rush (Robert Carlyle) supervises the exploration of new areas of the ship. Looking for resources to make their everyday lives easier, the crew stumbles upon a piece ...

By Jenn Falls. This review may contain spoilers. Following the pattern of previous episodes, this episode.s title, .Time,. encases the primary issue although it reveals itself in an interesting manner. Discovery and use of a Kino by Eli (David Blue) to record video has been entertaining, distracting, and revealing for both those on Destiny as well as those watching. For everyone on board, the Kino could be lifesaving. There is a familiar sense and pattern to the stopping of Destiny in order to find supplies and to explore new worlds. Eli.s insistence to use the Kino to record for posterity seems annoying to Dr. Rush (Robert Carlyle) as well as shirking duties to Lt. Scott (Brian J. Smith). But when medic T.J. Johansen (Alaina Huffman) deals with Dale Volker.s (Patrick Gilmore) sudden ...

Well, this, er, is not going to prove very fruitful. Apparently tired of all the “Stargate: Universe” bashers showing up at his blog and leaving, well, Sgu bashing comments, Sgu producer/writer Joseph Mallozzi has responded with a long statement on his blog. Besides addressing the overall negativity of “Stargate” loyalists who haven’t seen the light, Mallozzi also addresses some of the more hostile reactions to the show. Unfortunately, I’m afraid he’s only going to keep the “conflict” going by addressing it, which is probably not the intent. On the negativity towards his cast/crew: Sadly, the negativity has also taken its toll on one-time regular Sherry, proud mother of actor Brian J. Smith, who, surprised and saddened by some of the hostility here, has elected to no longer read the blog. Also, after several months of connecting with fandom online, Brian is stepping away from his...

During the recent Syfy Digital Press Tour in Vancouver, British Columbia that included Airlock Alpha, the cast of "Stargate: Universe" joked quite a bit about how large of a presence they have on the popular social networking site Twitter. But one of the show's stars has decided to shut down his tweeting for now. Brian J. Smith, who was tweeting under the name @brianjacobsmith, said he needs to step back from Twitter. While he didn't provide specific reasons for the sudden withdrawal, he did not they were "purely personal." "Was wondering how to break the news, but I'll just lay it out there," Smith said early Wednesday morning. "I'm taking a 'leave of absence' from Twitter starting this weekend. Hopefully I'll resume Twittering when/if we come back for Season 2, but this is a purely ...
