Netflix is once again teaming up with director Janeen Damian and actress Miranda Cosgrove for a second romantic comedy film, The Wrong Paris. Filming took place in the second half of 2024, and the film will be released on Netflix sometime in 2025. Here’s everything we know about The Wrong Paris on Netflix.

This marks Janeen Damian’s third major movie for Netflix, having previously directed Lindsay Lohan’s significant return to acting via Netflix with Falling for Christmas and Irish Wish. The duo did not partner on Lohan’s latest movie for Netflix, Our Little Secret, which was released for Christmas 2024.

Elsewhere, Damian is known for working with her husband, Michael, on a slew of Christmas projects. Michael will serve as a producer on The Wrong Paris. The project comes from Motion Picture Corporation of America (Mpca), Riviera Films, and K7 Entertainment.

It was a blink or you’ll miss it moment, but some fans were quick to notice that former Reign and Hallmark Channel actor Torrance Coombs had an unexpected cameo during a skit at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards!

The 41-year-old actor appeared during a Forgetting Sarah Marshall parody skit with Kristen Bell and Jason Segel on Sunday (February 23) at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Kristen and Jason stood at the bar and recreated one of their 2008 movie’s iconic scenes. Torrance played the bartender!

“It’s one of my favorite movies,” Torrance told People. “It was a fun moment for me to be part of the bit!”

Torrance played Sebastian “Bash” de Poitiers on The CW’s Reign from 2013 to 2016 and has since appeared in several Hallmark Channel projects, including 2024′s Unwrapping Christmas series.

Hallmark+ is premiering four new Christmas movies for the four Thursdays of November. This is the Unwrapping Christmas Collection that stars Natalie Hall, Kathryn Davis, Ashley Newbrough, and Cindy Busby. This is a four-movie holiday series about the four friends who work at the shop All Wrapped Up. In between gift wrapping for the holidays they meet some very attractive men portrayed by Alec Santos, Nathan Witte, Torrance Coombs, and Jake Epstein.

Kicking off the Hallmark+ Unwrapping Christmas Collection is Unwrapping Christmas: Tina’s Miracle. This stars All My Children alum Natalie Hall and Alec Santos. This will drop on Thursday, November 7.

According to TV Insider, this is what the first of the series is about.

Michael Damian’s Young and the Restless character, Danny Romalotti, is currently touring North America, while Damian himself is working on various projects—one of which involves a former Bold and the Beautiful star.

On Monday, October 21, Damian posted a new snapshot to Instagram. He smiled as he photographed himself on the set of the new Netflix movie The Wrong Paris. Per Deadline, the flick follows a woman named Dawn (Miranda Cosgrove) who wants to travel to France. So, she tries out for a dating show that’s filmed in Paris.

However, there’s just one small problem. The dating show is in Paris, Texas, not Paris, France. Dawn tries to get kicked off the dating show to pursue her dreams of becoming an artist. Despite her sneaky plan, she falls in love with the show’s bachelor, Trey, played by B&b alum Pierson Fode.

Written by Nicole Henrich, the film centers on Dawn (Cosgrove), who is desperate to get to France for a once-in-a-lifetime art opportunity. Hallmark+ is the rebranded streaming channel that will have a whole lot of Christmas this year. Firstly, they will air three new movie sequels to Christmas On Cherry Lane. This is all in addition to the Hallmark Channel’s Countdown To Christmas and Hallmark Mystery’s Miracles Of Christmas.

One of Hallmark Channel‘s go-to actresses has set her sights on a new basic cable home.

Danica McKellar, who has headlined more than a half-dozen “Countdown to Christmas” movies for Hallmark since 2015, is departing the network for a new competitor: Gac Family (fka Great American Country). Per Deadline, the Wonder Years vet has signed an exclusive deal with the cabler to star in and executive-produce four new films, beginning with The Winter Palace (premiering in January 2022).

Helena Mattsson (American Horror Story), Carla Jimenez (The Mick), Torrance Coombs (The Originals), Juliet Donenfeld (The Big Show Show), Alex Jayne Go (Searching) and Ryan O’Quinn have signed on to star opposite Cain in his debut directorial effort, which is currently in production in Los Angeles.

Little Angels revolves around Jake Rogers (Cain), a Division I college football coach at the top of his game who uses a female placekicker as a publicity stunt. When the player misses a field goal, the coach makes an offhand comment in the media about female athletes and is immediately suspended by the university. In an effort to get his job back, Rogers must coach a 12-year-old girls soccer team for the remainder of the season.

Torrance Coombs is starring in a romantic summer movie on Hallmark this Sunday called Romance In the Air, and we had a chance to chat with him.

Torrance has been a TV Fanatic favorite for years. His resume included spots on The Tudors and Still Star-Crossed, and The Originals, and starred for years as one of King Henry's sons, Bash, on Reign.

All of that keeps him pretty busy, even in 2020. Just the other day, he was online with his male castmates from Reign courtesy of Wizard World on Twitch.

He's so fun to watch because he seems like he's only half-serious. He's got a great sense of humor, which you can read on his face. When we jumped on the phone, I said I wanted to keep the conversation as light as Romance In the Air, and he good-naturedly responded, "Lovely. All right, sounds good. I'll be sure...

While I'm sure you've all been enjoying Christmas in July across the Hallmark family of networks, we want to give you a sneak peek of what's ahead.

TV Fanatic favorite Torrance Coombs stars with Hallmark vet Cindy Busby in the upcoming Romance in the Air on Hallmark Channel.

Airing on August 1 at 9/8c, Romance In the Air follows a woman named Eden (Busby), who, after learning her marketing job is on the line, returns to Lake Tahoe where she used to spend her summers growing up.

She needs to reinvigorate her love for marketing and is fully intending to relax and recharge so she can tackle her job again.

But she is surprised to find her childhood friend and sweetheart Riley Coombs) is still living next door.

Oh, do we see where this might be leading?

Sure enough, Eden finds purpose in helping Riley propel his struggling hot air balloon tour company.

Klaus Mikaelson has been a busy little beaver since we last saw him, much to the chagrin of all the corpses left in the wake of his European rampage.

According to TV Line, Nadine Lewington has joined the cast of The Originals Season 5.

The actress will take on the role of Greta Sienna, a “calculating and charismatic vampire” who paraded around Europe in the 1920s and '30s

In recent times, the vampire made her way to New Orleans, and it sounds like she values her family very dearly.

Lewington will first appear on The Originals Season 5 Episode 1, which debuts Friday, April 20 at 9/8c.

Her deal with the soon-to-conclude vampire drama is said to be on a recurring basis, so she will likely be around for most of the final episodes.

Nadine previously worked The Originals' co-executive producer on Containment which had a short run on The CW in 2016.

Here's a fun fact for you: Lewington is married to former The Vampire Diaries star, Michael Malarkey who played Enzo on the show's final four seasons.

Those familiar with Julie Plec’s work on The CW should recognize one of The Originals‘ newest recruits.

Back in November, we reported that ABC was likely to change the title of Shondaland's upcoming Still Star-Crossed TV show, starring Wade Briggs, Lashana Lynch, Sterling Sulieman, and Torrance Coombs. Inspired by Melinda Taub's novel, the new project is a Romeo and Juliet sequel series.Coombs, who played Sebastian "Bash" de Poitiers on The CW's Reign (which was cancelled last week), plays Count Paris in the new show. At one point this season, it seemed quite possible there would be no Reign Season 4. After this season finale, Reign Season 3 Episode 18, I am gutted, heartbroken, and then gutted again.

Man, The Last Heist boasts one damn-fine hook – bank robbers accidentally lock themselves inside with a serial killer who starts picking them off one by one. On premise alone, Mike Mendez’s latest B-Movie hopeful is enough to get genre fans all revved-up – but dammit if execution doesn’t topple such a fragile structure. This is a low-budget flick that reeks of low-budgeting, never able to overcome actors who are obviously shooting fake guns or CGI effects that stick out like digital bullet holes. What should be a raucous heist/slasher hybrid plays like a slightly-elevated game of cops and robbers, cheap in value and lacking in performances.

Sigh – this is the genre fan in me being disappointed.

Synopsis: “A bank heist descends into violent chaos when one of the hostages turns out to be a serial killer. Directed by Mendez from a screenplay by Guy Stevenson, The Last Heist stars Rollins, Torrance Coombs, and Victoria Pratt. On June 17th, XLrator Media will release the film in theaters and on VOD and iTunes.

25 years ago today, audiences first saw Kevin Costner’s turn as Robin Hood on the big screen. It was on June 14, 1991 that Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves opened in theaters. Facing off against Costner’s heroic outlaw was Alan Rickman's Sheriff of Nottingham, just three years after he made his first movie appearance in a role that would become a new classic villain, Hans Gruber in Die Hard. Rickman and Morgan Freeman got critical approval for their performances. Costner and Christian Slater, not so much. Both were nominated for Golden Raspberry Awards for Robin Hood, for Worst Actor and Worst Supporting Actor, respectively. Costner “won” his award, while Slater “lost” to Dan Ackroyd in Nothing but Trouble. Also part of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves’ legacy: “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You.” Believe it or not, the theme ballad that Bryan Adams bleated out for this movie earned him an Oscar nomination. But Raspberries or no Raspberries, Oscars or no Oscars, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves found its audience. It was the second-highest grossing movie of 1991, beaten only by Terminator 2: Judgement Day. And it was viewed countless times on VHS for years after that. Other notable June 14 happenings in pop culture history: • 1940: Jimmy Stewart film The Mortal Storm opened in theaters. • 1958: The indoor Alice in Wonderland ride opened next to the Mad Tea Party teacups ride in Disneyland. It was also the day the Columbia Sailing Ship first took passengers around Tom Sawyer Island. • 1959: The Matterhorn Bobsleds, Submarine Voyage, and the Monorail opened at Disneyland. Over 2,000 celebrities, members of the press, and dignitaries attended, including Vice President Richard Nixon. • 1965: Paul McCartney recorded the song “Yesterday” at what is now known as Abbey Road Studios in London. McCartney recorded it without the rest of the group, just with a string quartet, his vocals, and an acoustic guitar, making it essentially the first solo performance by the band. He recorded the song in two takes. • 1969: John Lennon and Yoko Ono pre-recorded an interview with David Frost that would air on July 10 that year. A North American release followed in July. • 1990: CBS, which had been the national broadcaster for the NBA since 1973, televised an NBA game for the final time. It was Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Detroit Pistons and Portland Trail Blazers. • 1996: Jim Carrey movie The Cable Guy opened in U.S. and Canadian theaters. • 2002: The Bourne Identity and the Sarah Michelle Gellar Scooby-Doo movie opened in theaters. • 2003: Helen Mirren had the order of Dame bestowed upon her when Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II published the list of those she’d chosen to promote to the Order of the British Empire. Three years later, Mirren portrayed Elizabeth II on film in The Queen. Sting and 007 actor Roger Moore were also conferred with the title of “Sir” on this day. • 2011: Andy Grammer released his self-titled debut studio album.
