Hollywood's Brightest Stars Join Students, Educators and Parents For Eif Presents: Xq Super School Live
Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hanks, Mahershala Ali, Tony Hale, Bill Hader, Christian Slater, Common, Randall Park, Rami Malek, Portia Doubleday, Thomas Mann, Anna Deavere Smith, Miranda Cosgrove, Melissa Rivers, Kevin Frazier and many more will participate in “Eif Presents: Xq Super School Live,” a special one-hour telecast which will invite the public to help rethink the future of American high schools.

They will join Viola Davis and Julius Tennon, who also serve as executive producers, in the all-star telecast, which will air live from Los Angeles on all four major U.S. networks – ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC – on Friday, Sept. 8 at 8:00-9:00 Pm Et live/Pt tape-delayed.

MTV Head of Original Programming Michael Klein Exits After 6 Months

MTV’s head of original programming Michael Klein is exiting the company after six months, TheWrap has learned. News of the former Conde Nast executive’s exit was announced on Monday in an internal memo from network head Chris McCarthy, which noted that Klein had “signed on to the job under different circumstances.” A replacement is expected to be named as soon as Tuesday. The executive’s departure comes just a month after MTV President Sean Atkins stepped down after a year on the job and was replaced by McCarthy, who now oversees MTV in addition to VH1 and Logo.

Condé Nast Ramps Up Branded Video Unit With Two New Executive Hires
Condé Nast Entertainment (CNÉ) is increasing the workforce of its branded entertainment video department. The premium video production company has hired Will Misselbrook as Head of Branded Entertainment and Eden Gorcey as Head of Branded Content, Digital Sales, and Strategy.

At CNÉ, Misselbrook will be in charge of leading the company’s overall branded entertainment creation and development and will report to CNÉ’s Evp of Programming and Content Strategy Michael Klein. Misselbrook arrives at CNÉ with plenty of video and content production experience from companies like Bbh New York, Wieden & Kennedy, and BBC. Misselbrook was also the former VP and Director of Global Content Development for luxury lifestyle brand Coach, and the executive is co-owner of the movie production company Valance Films.

UTA’s Joe Labracio To Head Alternative Programming For Condé Nast Entertainment
Exclusive: Joe Labracio, co-head of UTA’s alternative TV department, is leaving the agency for a top executive job at Condé Nast Entertainment. Labracio has been named Evp, alternative programming and will oversee the development and production of unscripted programming for the company, reporting to Condé Nast Entertainment president Dawn Ostroff. Labracio, who starts on Jan. 13, succeeds Michael Klein, who recently moved to a new role as head of creative for the company’s digital channels. “Joe has worked with the team at UTA to build an impressive alternative television department,” said Ostroff. “I am delighted that he will be bringing his keen sense of resonant programming and extensive experience in unscripted television development and production to CNÉ.” This marks Labracio’s return to the executive ranks after holding a position at CBS where he oversaw series production on The Amazing Race, Big Brother and Rock Star, among others, before segueing to agenting.
