Whedonverse fans are sure to flock to writer/director/producer Anton King’s new rom-com Lust for Love, which reunites quite a few Dollhouse alumni, including actors Fran Kranz and Dichen Lachman. Kranz leads the cast as Astor, a lovable yet hopeless guy who ruins his chance at a happily ever after with his childhood crush, Mila (Tron Legacy’s Beau Garrett). Convinced that the reason he’s so unlucky in love is because of his lack of experience with women, Astor enlists the help of Mila’s ex-best friend, Cali (Lachman), to teach him a thing or two about wooing the opposite sex.

It is hard to think of two projects more different than the horror-comedy The Cabin in the Woods, which hits cinemas April 13, and the new Broadway revival of Arthur Miller’s play Death of a Salesman, which opened a couple of weeks back (to a rave review from EW’s Thom Geier). Benjamin Bratt has joined the cast of the Snitch, an action thriller led by Dwayne Johnson.  Johnson plays "a father forced to become an informant for the DEA to reduce his falsely accused son's 10-year jail sentence."  According to Variety, Bratt is a big name in the Mexican drug trade who complicates the situation for Johnson's character. Susan Sarandon, Barry Pepper, Jon Bernthal, Melina Kanakaredes, Michael K. Williams, Rafi Gavron, and Nadine Velazquez also star in the film, inspired by true events.  Production started this week in Louisiana under the direction of Ric Roman Waugh.  Snitch is tentatively scheduled for an early 2013 release. Knight of Cups – For a filmmaker who spent nearly two decades between releasing films, Terrence Malick seems to be making up for lost time. The director's embarking on a pair of films since wrapping up this year's Tree of Life, bringing his total of current active projects to four -- this one starring Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett and another film called Lawless featuring the duo along side Ryan Gosling and Rooney Mara.

Tammy – Newly minted Emmy winner and Bridesmaids scene-stealer Melissa McCarthy wrote this road comedy about a directionless woman and her hard-drinking granny, which has been picked up for development at New Line.

Playdate – Actress-turned-filmmaker Tara Subkoff directs this indie flick starring Radha Mitchell and Natasha Lyonne. Filming is expected to get underway soon.
