Marilyn Manson Won’t Face Criminal Charges Following Rape & Domestic Violence Allegations
Image
Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, will not face criminal charges after a four-year investigation into allegations of rape and domestic violence, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman announced.

The District Attorney’s office cited the expiration of the statute of limitations for domestic violence allegations and insufficient evidence to prove sexual assault charges beyond a reasonable doubt. The investigation was led by the Da’s Sex Crimes Division and the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

“We recognize and applaud the courage and resilience of the women who came forward to make reports and share their experiences,” the Da’s office said in a statement.

“While we are unable to bring charges in this matter, we recognize that the strong advocacy of the women involved has helped bring greater awareness to the challenges faced by survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault.”

In response, Manson’s attorney,...

Evan Rachel Wood Stands With Abuse Survivors as Marilyn Manson Escapes Assault Charges
Image
Evan Rachel Wood has responded to news that Marilyn Manson won't face domestic abuse and sexual assault charges following a four-year investigation. Manson (real name Brian Warner) and Wood were romantically involved from 2007 to 2010, becoming engaged before breaking up. In 2021, Wood publicly accused Manson of sexual assault, psychological abuse, and physical abuse, with more than another dozen women following suit. For the last four years, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has been investigating allegations against the musician (details surrounding the investigation - and precisely what allegations it focused on - have not been made public).

On Friday, January 24, District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman commended "the courage and resilience of the women who came forward," but his office would not move forward with charges as "allegations of domestic violence fall outside of the statute of limitations, and we cannot prove charges of sexual assault beyond a reasonable doubt." Marilyn Manson Shocking Sexual Assault Charges Update
Image
Over the past four years, singer Marilyn Manson was the subject of an investigation concerning allegations of sexual assault and domestic violence. However, the case has recently been given a new update. Manson’s own attorney has also released a statement over the news.

A Los Angeles District Attorney Gave An Update Concerning The Claims Against Marilyn Manson

Marilyn Manson, born Brian Hugh Warner, came to fame as the lead singer of his namesake band, Marilyn Manson. Reportedly, members of the band crafted their stage names from female sex symbols and male serial killers. Warner’s own alter-ego was inspired by actress Marilyn Monroe and criminal cult leader Charles Manson.

Throughout his career, Manson has served as a prominent, if controversial, figure in the heavy metal music scene. Over the years, Manson has been accused of charges including sexual assault and sexual misconduct by multiple women.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said that charges would not be filed due to a lack of conclusive evidence and the statute of limitations.

Evan spoke out about how the statute of limitations prevented the case from moving forward, but that will change for future cases thanks to the Phoenix Act.

“My lawyer and I were advised by the Deputy District Attorneys and the Sheriff deputies who investigated the case that there was compelling evidence to support our claims, but that the statute of limitations prevents many of those crimes from being prosecuted. We always knew that the statute of limitations would be a barrier, which is why we created the Phoenix Act – so...

Evan Rachel Wood ‘Endlessly Proud’ of Survivors After Marilyn Manson Avoids Charges
Image
Evan Rachel Wood said she was “endlessly proud of all the survivors” who shared their allegations against Marilyn Manson after prosecutors declined to bring criminal charges against the musician.

Wood was one of the first people to publicly accuse Manson (real name Brian Warner), claiming he groomed her as a teenager and “horrifically abused” her during their on-again, off-again relationship between 2006 and 2011. Over a dozen more women came forward with allegations against Warner, and a criminal investigation was launched. (Warner has repeatedly denied all the allegations against him.)

Game of Thrones actress Esme Bianco — who sued and then settled a sexual assault lawsuit with Marilyn Manson — released a statement saying she was “deeply disappointed” but not surprised by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s decision not to prosecute the musician following a four-year investigation.

“Within our toxic culture of victim blaming; a lack of understanding of coercive control, the complex nature of sexual assault within intimate partnerships, and statutes of limitations that do not support the realities of healing; prosecutions face an oftentimes insurmountable hurdle,” Bianco wrote. “Once again,...

Marilyn Manson Can’t Block Deposition Amid ‘Indefinite’ Criminal Probe
Image
A judge ruled Monday that Marilyn Manson can’t use the specter of his “indefinite” criminal investigation to avoid sitting for a deposition in the sexual assault and battery lawsuit brought by his former personal assistant, Ashley Walters.

Los Angeles County Judge Steve Cochran said Manson, born Brian Warner, can still show up, assert his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and refuse to answer questions, but he’s not entitled to a special order blocking the sit-down pending a charging decision from newly elected Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman.

Marilyn Manson Drops Defamation Suit Against Evan Rachel Wood
Image
Marilyn Manson has dropped his defamation lawsuit against actress Evan Rachel Wood and agreed to pay nearly $327,000 in attorneys’ fees.

In February 2021, Wood publicly identified Manson as her abuser, accusing her one-time fiancé of sexual assault, psychological abuse, and various forms of coercion, violence, and intimidation.

Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, responded by filing a defamation lawsuit in March 2022.

In May 2023, a California judge tossed out most of Manson’s defamation suit, citing California’s anti-slapp law and its protections on individual free speech. The judge subsequently ordered that Manson pay Wood’s legal fees, which totaled $326,956.

Though Manson initially sought to appeal the ruling, Rolling Stone reports that he has now agreed to drop the lawsuit and pay Wood’s full lawyers’ fees.

“Marilyn Manson filed a lawsuit against Ms. Wood as a publicity stunt to try to undermine the credibility of his many accusers and revive his faltering career.

Esmé Bianco Rips L.A. Da George Gascón Over Failing To Prosecute Her Sexual Abuse Case Against Marilyn Manson
Image
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s latest interest in the multiple sexual assault allegations against Marilyn Manson has drawn the ire of one of the singer’s former accusers. Game of Thrones alum Esmé Bianco blasted George Gascón in a news conference Thursday, saying the Da has ignored her requests to meet with and has failed to make a timely decision on whether to prosecute the rocker over her claims of sexual abuse.

“I am one of over a dozen women who have come forward publicly at immense personal risk to provide evidence about how Marilyn Manson has sexually assaulted them,” Bianco told reporters outside the Da’s downtown L.A. offices. “We are all still waiting for answers.”

She accused Gascón, who is in a tough re-election fight with weeks to go before the election, of politicizing her case.

Jonathan Majors
Jonathan Majors, Johnny Depp & Lori Loughlin: Why Are We So Fascinated By Celebs Who Ruin Their Lives?
Jonathan Majors
This time last year, Jonathan Majors was a star on the rise.

A graduate of Yale's drama school, Majors had a handful of major credits to his name, including HBO's Lovecraft Country, the blockbuster Rocky spinoff Creed III, and the critically acclaimed indie film The Last Black Man In San Francisco.

It was an impressive resume for a star in his early thirties -- and the best was yet to come (at least from a monetary standpoint).

Majors made headlines when signed on to play Kang the Conqueror in a slate of Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.

It was a deal that had the potential to take him from "well off" to "private island wealthy."

But in March of 2023, Majors' life was instantly turned upside down.

Fans were horrified by the downfall of an artist whom many regarded as one of the great actors of our generation.

But many others believed...

Marilyn Manson Now Owes Nearly $500,000 to Defendants’ Lawyers After Failed Claims

Marilyn Manson’s penalty for pursuing failed defamation and emotional distress allegations against Westworld actress Evan Rachel Wood and artist Illma Gore has ballooned to nearly half a million dollars.

The hefty legal tab first hit six figures back on Jan. 29, when a Los Angeles judge ordered Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, to pay $326,956 for the fees Wood racked up defending against the claims struck last May from Warner’s still-pending lawsuit against the two women. Marilyn Manson’s Ex-Assistant Can Proceed With Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Against The Singer, Court Rules
Image
Marilyn Manson‘s former assistant, Ashley Walters, won an appeal that would bring back a dismissed sexual assault lawsuit she brought against the singer in 2021.

A tribunal with California’s Second Appellate District sided with Walters and reversed a lower court ruling, ordering that the case be sent back to the judge for trial.

According to the court filings, Walters declared that Manson had forced her hand into his underpants. She alleges that he also whipped her, pushed her into a wall and made her stay awake for 48 hours straight.

The filings claim that Manson offered Walters up sexually to associates and friends. He even instructed her to stand on a chair for 12 hours and fed her cocaine so that she would not fall asleep.

There are more accusations mentioned in the filings in addition to these.

Walters claims that Manson often relied on threatening behavior, including blackmail, to keep her quiet.

Marilyn Manson Sexual Assault Case Involving Former Assistant Revived by Appeals Court
Image
A California appeals court has revived a sexual assault lawsuit against Marilyn Manson involving his former assistant Ashley Walters.

On Wednesday (December 13th), California’s Second Appellate District ruled that Walters — Manson’s assistant from 2010 to 2011 — can sue the musician for sexual assault, overturning an earlier decision that stated Walters waited to long to file the initial lawsuit.

A lower court ruled last year that Walters’ case was barred by the statute of limitations, which requires the case to be filed within two years. However, the appeals court ruled that the case was still viable under California’s “Delayed Discovery” rule, which accounts for suppressed memories due to trauma. The judge of the original hearing had previously said there were not “sufficient facts” to invoke the Delayed Discovery rule.

Walters’ lawsuit claims that she was subjected her to “sexual exploitation, manipulation and psychological abuse” by Manson while she worked as his personal assistant.

The former assistant who claims Marilyn Manson sexually assaulted her, whipped her and threw her against a wall during a drug-induced rage won a critical appeal ruling Wednesday that revives her previously dismissed lawsuit against the shock rocker.

Ashley Walters initially sued Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, with claims of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and sex discrimination in May 2021. She argued that while the alleged abuse took place during a “horrific” year of employment that ended in 2011, the typical two-year statute of limitations didn’t apply because she...

Get out your tourniquets and be ready to carve symbols in your chest with broken light bulb glass because a three-part documentary focusing on the schlock rocker who wasn’t born with enough middle fingers, Marilyn Manson, is coming. British broadcaster Channel 4 is bringing Marilyn Manson: Behind the Mask (working title) to audiences. The documentary project is co-financed by Fifth Season, formally known as Endeavor Content, courtesy of Lightbox as part of a partnership with Rolling Stone.

Marilyn Manson Fined, Sentenced to Community Service for Blowing Nose on Videographer
Image
Marilyn Manson was fined $1,200 and sentenced to 20 hours of community service after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor charge for blowing his nose on a concert videographer.

Initially, Manson was charged with two misdemeanors for allegedly blowing his nose and spitting on videographer Susan Fountain during a performance at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford in 2019. Manson pleaded no contest to the first misdemeanor (nose-blowing) in a negotiated plea deal, with the second one (spitting) tossed out.

Manson requested to appear in court remotely via video, but a New Hampshire judge forced the shock rocker to appear in person in the Laconia courtroom about 30 miles north of the state capital of Concord. Image
Marilyn Manson will plead no contest in a case involving him allegedly spitting on and blowing his nose on a concert videographer. The plea will allow the singer to avoid a trial that was set to begin next month.

Susan Fountain had accused Manson of first spitting a “big loogie” on her and then blowing his nose on her as she was filming his concert in Gilford, New Hampshire, on August 19th, 2019. He faced two misdemeanor accounts of simple assault related to the incident.

Image
A California judge has tossed out most of Marilyn Manson’s defamation lawsuit against Evan Rachel Wood following the actress’ claims of abuse during the one-time couple’s relationship from 2007 to 2010.

“The Court grants Wood’s special motion to strike in part,” rule Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Teresa A. Beaudet in the tentative order [via Deadline], which invoked California’s anti-slapp law and its protections on individual free speech.

Manson’s defamation suit from March 2022 alleged that Wood penned a fake FBI letter and a checklist for other alleged Manson abuse victims — both of which have been tossed out with the latest motion. It’s another loss for the Manson camp, which was previously not allowed to add Ashley Morgan Smithline’s about-face recantation as a new declaration to the lawsuit.

“We are very pleased with the Court’s ruling, which affirms and protects Evan’s exercise of her fundamental First Amendment rights,...

Marilyn Manson Loses Bid to Keep Defamation Claims Against Evan Rachel Wood
Image
Evan Rachel Wood will not have to face defamation claims from Marilyn Manson accusing her of manufacturing a conspiracy to portray him as a serial abuser who has sexually assaulted several women.

At the center of the dispute were allegations that Wood and her friend Illma Gore lied to prospective accusers to encourage them to come forward with sexual assault allegations against the musician, namely by saying that he filmed the assault of a minor in a 1996 short film he made called Groupie. In a tentative ruling adopted by the court on Tuesday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Teresa Beaudet tossed claims against Wood under a law providing for the dismissal of suits arising out of protected speech.

Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, sued the pair in 2021 ahead of the premiere of HBO documentary Phoenix Rising, which explores sexual assault allegations against the musician and Wood’s efforts...

Marilyn Manson Sees Judge Gut Rocker’s Defamation Case Against Evan Rachel Wood Over Abuse Allegations
Image
Shock rocker Marilyn Manson just got a legal shock as a California judge tossed out most of the fading musician’s defamation case against Evan Rachel Wood over the Westworld actress’ claims of abuse during the former couple’s relationship.

“The Court grants Wood’s special motion to strike in part,” wrote , LA Superior Court Judge Teresa A. Beaudet Tuesday in a multi-pronged tentative order that has just become final (read it here).

Emphasizing the Golden State’s anti-slapp statute and its protect of individual free speech, Judge Beaudet took a lot of the guts out of Manson a.k.a. Brian Warner’s suit of March 2022. While Manson’s case can proceed on the remaining counts, the big-ticket items are pretty much dead, at least for now. Among the claims now out of the suit are Manson and his lawyers attempts to taint Wood with penning a fictitious FBI...

Marilyn Manson Accuser Says She Was “Manipulated” by Evan Rachel Wood [Updated]
Image
A woman who accused Marilyn Manson of sexual assault has officially retracted her claims, saying fellow accuser Evan Rachel Wood “manipulated” her into implicating the artist.

Model Ashley Morgan Smithline first accused Manson — born Brian Warner — of assault in a People cover story, which detailed numerous instances of graphic abuse throughout the couple’s two-year relationship. The report came after Wood, another ex of Manson’s, came forward with her own harrowing experience with the singer, prompting over 10 more women to do the same.

Now, however, Smithline — via a statement filed by Manson’s lawyers — says the abuse never happened, and that she “succumbed to pressure from Evan Rachel Wood and her associates to make accusations of rape and assault against Mr. Warner that were not true.”

In the statement, Smithline recalls meeting with Wood and other Manson accusers — including actress Esme Bianco and Manson’s former assistant, Ashley Walters...

Marilyn Manson Sexual Abuse Accuser Says Her Claims ‘Contained Untrue Statements’ About ‘Violent Sexual Activity’
Image
One of Marilyn Manson’s accusers has come forward, claiming that her previous claims of sexual abuse were made up.

Ashley Morgan Smithline, who appeared on the cover of People magazine back in May 2021 alongside the headline “I survived a monster,” at the time claimed she was horribly abused by Manson. In the cover story, she alleged that, while she was sleeping, the musician had tied her up and raped her, drank her blood and carved his initials into her thigh.

“I was brainwashed, and it makes me feel disgusting,” she said in the story, which also displayed a photo of her scar.

However, Smithline has now renounced her allegations in a three-page declaration that was filed in court on Thursday.

She stated that the former claims regarding Manson, 54, “contained untrue statements…including that there was violence and non-consensual sexual activity in our brief relationship.”

She added that throughout their...

Marilyn Manson accuser says her claims of sexual abuse against him are false
Image
Los Angeles, Feb 25 (Ians) Ashley Morgan Smithline, who earlier said that she had suffered horrific abuse at the hands of Marilyn Manson, stating that Manson had tied her up and raped her while she slept, drank her blood and carved his initials into her thigh, has backtracked on her statements.

“I was brainwashed, and it makes me feel disgusting,” she said, alongside a photo in which she displayed the scar. But in a three-page declaration filed in court on Thursday, Smithline recanted her allegations, reports Variety.

She said that the claims, which she first posted to her Instagram account in February 2021, “contained untrue statements” about Manson, “including that there was violence and non-consensual sexual activity in our brief relationship.”

As per Variety, she also stated that there was “no branding or cutting” during the relationship, “and certainly no ‘Marilyn Manson’ initials carved on my body.”

Smithline also alleged that she...

Marilyn Manson Accuser Ashley Morgan Smithline Says She Was ‘Manipulated’ Into Making False Claims
Image
In a defamation case against actress Evan Rachel Wood and artist Illma Gore, Marilyn Manson‘s lawyers have filed a statement from accuser Ashley Morgan Smithline that recants her previous sexual abuse allegations against the rock musician as evidence.

The model claimed she was “manipulated” into accusing Manson of mental, physical and sexual abuse.

Smithline said Wood, Gore and others pressured her into making the accusations, which she now claims are “false.”

Although various media outlets verified her earlier story with multiple sources, Smithline said she was “pressured” by her attorney Jay Ellwanger to speak out.

In the statement, Smithline said she was “gaslit” by Wood, Ashely Walters, Manson’s former assistant who sued him for sexual assault, Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco and others into believing that Manson had abused her.

A spokesperson for Wood refuted the claims, saying, “Evan never pressured or manipulated Ashley. It was Ashley...

Marilyn Manson Sued Over Alleged Sexual Assault of a Minor
Image
Marilyn Manson is facing another lawsuit for sex crimes, this time from a woman who says she was groomed and sexually assaulted when she was underage in the 1990s.

Manson allegedly targeted the Jane Doe plaintiff when she was 16 using his celebrity to “groom, manipulate and exploit” her, resulting in multiple sexual assaults over the course of their relationship, according to a complaint filed Monday in New York state court. She argues Manson’s record label Nothing Records, an arm of Interscope, failed to protect her by neglecting to carry safeguards to prevent its artists from committing sex crimes.

The suit is one of multiple after a recently passed New York law temporarily suspended the statute of limitations on sexual assault claims, giving adult victims of sexual abuse a one-year window to sue regardless of when the alleged crimes occurred. Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, joins Bill Cosby,...

Submitted anonymously by the now-adult woman “Jane Doe”, she wrote that she was 16 when she first met Warner in 1995 after a Dallas concert.

‘Game Of Thrones’ Actress Esmé Bianco And Marilyn Manson Settle Sex Abuse Lawsuit
Image
“Game of Thrones” actor Esmé Bianco has agreed to settle a federal lawsuit with rocker Marilyn Manson in which she alleged sexual, physical and emotional abuse, attorneys for both sides said Wednesday.

Bianco reached the agreement in her lawsuit against Manson and his record company “in order to move on with her life and career,” lawyer Jay Ellwanger said in an email.

Manson’s attorney Howard King also confirmed the agreement in an email. He previously said the actions alleged in the suit “simply never happened” and were “provably false.”

In the lawsuit filed in federal court in Los Angeles in 2021, Bianco said Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, violated human trafficking law by bringing her to California from England in 2009 and 2011 under the false pretenses of roles in music videos and movies that never materialized.

The suit alleged Manson deprived Bianco of food and sleep, gave her alcohol and drugs,...
