So we have a bunch of teens, most of whom are stoners, some are goths, some are jocks; messing with ouija boards and thinking that satanic tourism is “cool”, who stumble into real satanic goings-on. Plus there’s a blink-or-you’ll-miss-it cameo from modern-day scream queen Devanny Pinn (Truth or Dare, House of Manson). That in a nutshell is Satanic.
As for an actual plot, the film sees four friends on their way to Coachella stop off in Los Angeles to tour true-crime Satanic Panic-era sites, only to find themselves interrupting an apparent human sacrifice. They save the young victim, but she turns out to be much more than dangerous then the cult from which she escaped, unleashing an evil spirit who will hunt...

Last week, producer Adi Shankar released the latest installment from his Bootleg Universe, a new short film entitled Power/Rangers. Just a few days later, it was pulled from Vimeo and YouTube after a copyright dispute with Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers creator Haim Saban and his Saban Brands company. But the short film came back online over the weekend. Today, Adi Shankar has released a behind-the-scenes video featuring director Joseph Kahn on the set, along with stars Katee Sackhoff and James Van Der Beek.
This is the fourth short film in Adi Shankar's Bootleg Universe, following The Punsher: Dirty Laundry, Venom: Truth in Journalism and last year's Judge Dredd: Superfiend. Joseph Kahn called this project a "deboot," which features characters popularized on the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, but in a much darker and gritty film that explores their origins. Russ Bain, Will Yun Lee, Gichi Gamba, Yves Bright, Stevin Knight,...

You can also see the video below.
This past week, a tsunami of copyright controversy began to swirl after producer Adi Shankar unveiled his latest entry in the so-called Bootleg Universe, this time debuting a Power/Rangers fan film from Torque and Detention director Joseph Kahn. The 15 minute short was an instant sensation, starring Katee Sackhoff, James Van Der Beek and Will Yun Lee from a script Joseph Kahn wrote with James Van Der Beek and Dutch Southern. They called it a 'deboot' of the Power Rangers franchise, and Saban Brands, who own the Power Rangers copyright,...
