A natural creative at heart, Connecticut-born Tyler Spiers wrote his first comedic screenplay at the age of twelve. His love of comedy and writing took him to Los Angeles ten years later where he honed his comedic craft by studying at world-famous comedy theaters, "The Groundlings" and "UCB". His internet mega-hits, "Sexual Harassment" and "Planet Unicorn", cemented Tyler as a first-generation viral video creator.
Tyler is an alumni of one of LA's most respected comedic film festivals, "Channel 101", creating the award-winning high school comedy "Classroom" and working alongside such comedic superstars as Dan Harmon, Andy Samberg, Jack Black, and Sarah Silverman. Tyler has also been awarded numerous times, most notably for "Planet Unicorn" which was named Funniest Animated Web Series, All-Time by Timeout NY and nabbed the 2008 OMFG Award at LOGO's NewNowNext Awards.
From 2008 to 2013, Tyler developed several projects with entertainment powerhouse FreMantle Media, selling and writing a half-hour animated pilot to Spike TV, which was produced at Titmouse Animation. The prolific Spiers has also developed written, produced and edited content for The Fine Brothers, Ray William Johnson, Break Media, Mondo Media, Next Media Animation,The Pet Collective, Captain Morgan's, Jaime Kennedy Entertainment, The Collective, CAA, Generate, IFC, Thank You Brain, and Makers.
Tyler develops live-action, animated and feature-length comedy projects out of his own production shingle, Spierhead.
